I see a lot of whining about this heater not heating an entire room/closet/bathroom. You do see it is 200 watts right? This is not a SPACE heater this is a PERSONAL heater. The top rated SPACE heater on Amazon (lasko tower) runs at 1500 watts. That is over 85% less power used. I have used this exact model for 4 years now in my office for 6-8 hours a day every single week day (I'm a cold person - sue me). No issues with tripping the breakers (and we all use heaters). This is meant to be by your side or aimed at your hands/feet. This is not going to sit 5 ft away and keep you warm unless you keep the door closed for an hour or more. This has been the perfect solution to keep my extremities warm without having to heat my entire office up. I even use this in the summer when the rest of the office has the AC set at a low temperature. It is amazing that on top of wading through the fake reviews we also have to read through ignorant people bitching about a product they didn't bother to read the description on or have ridiculous expectations of. $20 bucks is well worth the FOUR years I have so far out of this and it is still going strong.

Like a lot of us, I work in an office that is unreasonably sub-arctic. It's a major government building, so the thermostat will never be adjusted. This is small, lightweight, powerful, fairly quiet, and effective at emitting heat in a small space! I have a pretty small cubicle and was worried about freezing at work now that it's summertime, but this space heater has improved my comfort level exponentially. I have it beneath my cube on to of my hard drive tower, plugged directly into a wall and not into my tech powerstrip. (Also no, the unit is NOT hot at ALL except for the part that blows out the hot air -- when I touch the top, sides, and bottom of the unit -- even after it's been on for over 24 hours because I forgot to turn it off when I left work the first day, d'oh! -- it's cool to the touch). At this price, this is a great deal, and if this lasts for years with regular use like one reviewer wrote, this might be one of the best things I've bought in years (because the quality and longevity of everything seems to be declining, while prices continue to climb and wages remain suppressed). If you're looking for a smallish heater without a ton of heat throw (say just a couple feet or to keep your hands or legs warm in a small cubicle), this will do the trick. I can now sit in my summer attire comfortably in my cube -- no blanket, no gloves, no mug of hot tea. In fact, when I come back from a meeting in another cold room, I sit down in my chair and literally say, "Ahhhh...!" It's like slipping into a hot tub outdoors on a frozen night. My coworkers are jealous and plan to get their own soon, too.

This is a tiny heater measuring about 4.5"x6". I bought it to keep my hands warm in my office. They call this a personal heater for a reason - it only heats up the immediate surroundings. My office usually runs about 68 degrees. I took temperature measurements as close as 6" away from the heater and as far as 3 feet away. You can barely feel the heat any further than 2 ft from the unit. I gave it 5 stars because it lives up to its name and gets the job done. But if you want to warm up an entire office cubicle you're better off getting something a bit bigger.

So far I've only owned this for a few hours, but I'm so in love that I have to review this! First, this is whisper quiet! I bought this heater to replace my Holmes space heater because it was too loud. Loud is a relative term. I work in a quiet office. When the Holmes space heater is on, I have to turn up my music and then it gets loud in the office. With this new Lasko heater, I can keep my music on low and still get toasty warm! It takes a few minutes for the Lasko to warm up the space versus my Holmes heater which was almost instant warm. But I'm talking approximately 5 minutes to warm up the space. This really is super quiet. Have you ever been so close to your computer tower that you can hear the CD spin in the drive or the fan running to cool the computer? That's about the same noise level as the Lasko. It's embarrassing how much I've in love with a space heater! (Don't mind the scuffs, I already hit it against the wall)

I bought this to put on my desk to warm my right hand while using my mouse. It is always ice cold when I leave from work each day due to the cold blasting A/C vent above my desk. To accomplish reaching my hand I need to lay the heater on its side. This means it has no tilt detection to turn off, which is fine because the outside housing of this heater never gets hot or even warm to the touch. If you stand it up it can easily warm your front side at 1-2ft away. Keep in mind I'm using this in an office area that is already heated/cooled to around 68F. I'd say if you're using this in an extremely cold environment (<50F) it would probably not do much to warm you up. With that being said, this is an ideal small heater to sit on a desk in an already warmed area.

I am your classic "girl in the office who is always cold" and this has been lovely! It is pretty quiet and actually pumps out a bit more heat than I thought! My cubicle is about 6'x10', with myself and the heater at one end with 3 walls, and then the 4th (6') side is open and leads to a larger area. This does a great job at heating probably 6'x6', then it's not as strong when you are closer to the open side of the cube, but the heat is still felt. It's nice and compact too, I could have it at my feet or on top of my desk to warm my cold keyboard fingers. The cord is long enough to have it move about a bit. OH and just to make note, this is NOT plugged into USB, just your normal wall outlet. All in all a worthy little investment.

This tiny little unit really puts out a lot of heat without using a lot of power. My office is often like a meat locker, but instead of freezing, I am toasty warm with my tiny heater. I love it!

LOVE this heater. Bought it for my office desk. Keeps me warm when the guys I work with are trying to freeze me out with the A/C set to Antarctica temperatures.

This little heater is great! My office and another coworker's office share an electrical circuit. It's always cold in here, because our building is old (yet charming) and we have single-pane windows that are NOT energy efficient (yet charming). We both brought in space heaters last winter. We quickly figured out that we can't run them at the same time because they trip the electrical circuit for our area. This year, I bought this little Lasko heater to put under my desk to keep my space warm, not my entire office. It takes up less amps and watts than the other space heater, so hopefully we can both run space heaters this winter. I set it on top of my computer tower, and the heat bounces off my keyboard tray to make a really warm personal space. I'm very happy with it. Also, it's cool to the touch. I've had it on for at least 4 hours now, and the unit is cool when I touch it. I'm feeling optimistic about staying warm in the office this winter... and next summer. It's cold year 'round in here.
