This is one of those things that makes life so much easier. My only regret is not getting one sooner. I have a similar model that plugs into the 12v car outlet... but by the time I dig it out of the car, unroll the cable, start the car (it's a high current device) and get it working... well its more of a pain than it's worth except for emergencies. This 120v model is small, doesn't have a mile of cable attached, and is a snap to use im the driveway or garage. Attached to an extension cord, I can easily make the rounds between both cars, a motorcycle, bikes, the lawn mower, hand truck, lawn cart, and anything else with tires. So far I've used it a fair amount - no issues (aside from the psi gauge being inaccurate, but they all are on pumps like this). Its small but feels heavy duty. Couldnt be happier. If you overinflate your tires by a couple of psi, it will probably come close to paying for itself vs having slight deflation and getting around to stopping at a gas station and feeding quarters into their machine. Two thumbs up!

I've owned two other tire inflators: both Craftsman. Both were as loud as a jackhammer and caused a massive racket when in use. And they were quite slow in inflating my car tires so the racket went on for longer than I desired. The primary features I wanted in a new unit was low noise output and an ability to inflate my 20" SUV tires. Wow! does this unit deliver! I plugged it in one of my car power outlets and turned it on in my enclosed garage. I know the noise was not noticeable to my townhouse neighbors. And the inflation is much faster: with my Craftsman, I would settle in for the wait to inflate 5psi, turn on the radio and check the gauge every few minutes. With this one, I had to watch the gauge closely to ensure I did not over-inflate within 1 minute. (According to the claim on the box, it will inflate a 14" tire from 0-28psi in under 2:30 seconds.) What you get: * 16-ft PVC air hose w/ quick connect cabling (much like most Craftsman air compressors); * 10-ft power cord with a 15 amp fuse (this length, plus that of the air hose, should be plenty long enough for most folks); * Built-in analog pressure gauge (above 30 psi, it displays 2psi increments up to 150psi); * 4 LED lights built into the inflator (the lamp has a separate on/off switch from the inflator) * Four inflation adaptors for toys, balls, rafts, etc. The box also includes 2 replacement 12v fuses. I can't speak to longevity as I've not put it through any wear-and-tear but since it's a direct drive motor, fewer moving parts would imply that it should last longer than other gear driven models. The whole thing fits nicely in a carrying bag that can easily fit behind any car seat (it's about the size of an adult's soft lunchbox). Time will tell whether Goodyear was wise in allowing its name used on this model but so far, so good. Highly recommend.

I literally just used this compressor 5 minutes ago, and was so happy with it that I came straight inside to write this review. It's a 5 star item for a variety of reasons that are important for a normal user like me. I'm an engineer, and I have an old "95 Corvette, but I'm not a "car guy" (girl, actually) so I ordered this thing hoping that it would be foolproof and headache-free----and it is. It could not be any easier or more user-friendly. 1. The instructions are very good---easy to understand. You're up and running out of the box in about 3 minutes. Here's exactly what to do for a car tire: ----Connect the blue PVC coiled hose to the black rubber hose on the unit. It snaps into place with a quick connect collar. ----Plug the unit power cord into the wall, or an extension cord if the blue hose isn't long enough to make it around your vehicle. ----The pre-attached nozzle on the end of the blue hose is what you want for a normal car tire--ready to go right out of the box. No attachments are needed. Screw that into your tire's air valve. ----Flip the power switch on the unit, and watch the psi climb on the gauge. ----Turn off when you hit the right psi for your car. 2. The Corvette had a completely flat tire, and this compressor took it from pancake flat to 35 psi in 5 minutes. I did not need to stop and let it cool off. That silver-colored metal housing block you can see on top of the unit heats up a little, but that's what it's meant for. The silver cooling fins are designed to dissipate heat. 3. The unit was much less noisy than I thought it was going to be. It's actually less loud and grating than the air-blowers you use to inflate air mattresses. 4. The unit is small and lightweight enough that you can carry it by the handle with only one hand. But it's steady on the floor--no oscillation or jittering. The length of the unit is only 9 inches, so you can store this almost anywhere. You get several small adapter tips for things like exercise balls or motorcycle tires. You also get high-flow nozzles for things like air mattresses. The only minor thing I noted was that the product photos and the instruction manual both indicate there are 5 high-flow components, but there are only 3 in the package. The two pieces that are missing are the skinny high flow nozzles: the ones that look like cake frosting nozzles, for lack of a better description. For my purposes (i.e. to get the tire inflated enough that I can drive 5 miles to the repair place) this is a great compressor---and it's so simple that a child could use it. A monkey could use it. A dead houseplant could probably use it. This is one of my best Amazon purchases to date. Do yourself a favor and get one. This is going to save your butt the next time you go out to the car and discover a flat at the worst possible time.

This inflator is a terrific performer. I much prefer a 120-volt unit over a 12-volt one. I use this primarily to keep my motorcycle tires at proper pressure before every ride. I have no complaints about the functionality, although some may prefer a clamp-on connector to the tire valve over the screw-on one that this one has. Yes, this one lets out some air when you attach and remove it. It's easy to just out a couple of extra pounds of pressure in and let it out. You do use a quality tire pressure guage, right? The guage on the inflator is decently accurate, but I never trust them. If I had to give a number, I'd say this one reads about 2 pounds high, easily within sample variation. Your mileage may vary. Use a real pressure guage. It is not going to be as fast as a proper compressor, since it has no tank, but it also consumes far less garage space. It typically takes less than a minute to top up the motorcycle tires when they are a couple of pounds short. It takes me longer to coil up the power cord than fill the tires. Speaking of the cord, it is a three-prong - necessary for garage use - and I wish it was a bit longer. I have to use an extention cord. That is no big deal, just another cord to coil up. I have not tried to use it to inflate basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, or bicycle tires.

Best 120V inflator I've had! Beats all the other crappy inflators out there by a mile! Fast inflation with much lesser noise. The rubber stoppers on the bottom stand really cuts down on vibration and keeps the pump exactly where you left it. Analog gage is so so, digital would have been better but I am impressed by the power of this pump to overlook that. Inflating SUV tire from 32psi to 38psi took around a minute per tire. Inflated compact car tire from 30psi to 40psi took around 2 minutes. I did 8 tires straight without any heating issues. Only complaint might be the inflator tip, it's a screw on kind, really tight seal just a bit of a pain to use because when you do 8 tires, you have to screw it on and off 16 times... looking for a clamp type tip to cut down on wrist usage...

I am upgrading from a cheap unit that was slow and noisy. After researching a number of air compressors online, I decided to purchase this unit. Just received it and tried it out. I am really pleased by this unit: - Incredibly quite and stable -- it won't jump around like my previous unit; - Quick inflation -- I tried to top off on my 31" truck tire. I did not time it, but I can see the needle moving at 33 psi. For bicycle tires, it takes only seconds; - Reasonable power draw -- it did not blow the fuse on my 04 4Runner, and I don't have problem starting the truck after testing the unit without engine running to fill 3 bicycles and top off a truck tire; - Accurate gauge -- I tested it against my other tire gauge and the readings are practically the same at 33 psi; - Quality construction. The chuck connector works much more reliably than the quick connector in my previous cheap unit. It loses a bit of air upon disconnect but can be easily compensated.

I'm always more busy than i'd like to be, so having to take time to find a gas station with an air pump is not something i really wanted to look into. But checked the tire pressure on my bmw this past weekend and saw that all 4 tires were somewhat low, so read some reviews and had this thing sent 2 day express. It came in last night, so went into the garage and tried it out this morning. I spent a minute reading the manual and its basically screw the blue hose onto the tire valve, hit the power button, and watch the pressure gauge. It took about a minute or so until the needle on the gauge moved to the pressure i was aiming for, when that happened i pressed the power button to off and unscrewed the blue hose from the tire valve. The pressure gauge on the pump read 35lbs psi, but i also checked the tire pressure afterwards with my own pressure gauge which also read 35lbs. So overall, i was pretty happy with my purchase and would certainly recommend it as a nice inexpensive tire pump to have around the garage. The only thing i'd suggest is that if you're going to be using this for your car, then you might need an extension cord as the power cord on the unit is only around 6 feet.

I've used three air pumps religiously - a Sears brand that refuses to die, a harbor freight brand that died within 3 uses, and this one. Unfortunately I've only used it for the past month so I can't speak to its longevity but it's been great so far. The Sears brand is loud (much louder than my lawn mower) and has a very short cord from the actual pump to the quick connect value. That pump actual featured a quick connect where it was just a switch to open and close the air valve (not a twist on). However due to its short length, it was a pain to have to whip out the extension cord and continue to finagle with it as I went from tire to tire. The Goodyear is hands down a much better experience. This pump is extremely quiet to the point where I can use it inside my garage and not have to go all adult earmuffs. It definitely fills tires a little slower, but this is a tradeoff I'm more than willing to make. The 17 ft air hose is freaking awesome. I can easily go from tire to tire (feeling like a mechanic) without having to worry about the extension cord. At first I was concerned at how the twist on connector would be, but it moves so freely and quickly that the drop in PSI is very insignificant. I typically overpump by about 1-2 PSI and use a hand gauge to bring it back down to the appropriate PSI anyways. Given the much more positive feel of the twist on, I prefer it over switch type. I've only used this on cars and motorcycles so I can't speak about the attachments, but this pump is awesome and I would definitely buy it again if it fails.

This pump is excellent and extremely easy to use right out of the box. Just connect the included air hose extension and you're ready to go. The reviews are absolutely correct about the screw-on tip not working very well and that's exactly why the adapter is listed as a pair with this product (see picture for what the adapter looks like). Just purchase the adapter and you'll have the easiest time inflating bicycle and vehicle tires. The people who did not buy the adapter are the ones complaining about the included air hose. The adapter costs $7 and combined with the cost of the pump, you still get a high quality pump for just over $50, that is very reasonable. What I like most about this pump is that it comes with various other adapters for your other inflatables, like swimming and intex rubber tubes. This was the selling point for me. I couldn't find another pump that could also inflate the intex rubber tubes (for river rafting). Yes, you need a 120V power source, but most established places have a power outlet, so you'll be in good shape as long as you try it out at home first and make sure everything works! Great product, highly recommend if you need a simple easy to use air pump. And don't listen to those bad reviews from people who didn't buy the adapter!

This is such a time saver. No more trips to the gas station for me! I have bought this type of air filler before that worked only with a car battery or by plugging into the cigarette lighter to much frustration. I ended up throwing them out, because they either overheated or blew a fuse in the car. I bought this one specifically because you plug it directly into a wall outlet. I purchased this in the last couple of weeks and just used it today for the first time (1/27/18). I used a 15 foot extension cord and with the hose that comes with the machine, it is was long enough to reach all around the car. I almost didn't buy this after reading other reviews saying that the screw on hose to attach the machine to the car tire was a deal breaker. I bought an inflator hose adapter and attached that to the hose so that I would have an experience similar to a gas station. In under 10 minutes, I checked and filled the tires in two passenger cars. The tires were supposed to be at 32 and 33 psi and they were all at 28 psi. The machine did not overheat or make any strange noises. It does make a vibrating sound, about as loud as a clothes dryer or a washer in the spin cycle. I will agree with the other reviews that the on board pressure gauge is a little off. I mean, it's a hair off. If you are really concerned, get yourself a separate pressure gauge for a pair of dollars at a car place. I used a separate gauge this time around, but probably won't bother next time. My tires have a max of 44 psi and they are supposed to be at 32 psi on one car and 33 on another, so if they are a little under or over 32/33 psi, the tire is not going to fail. I appreciated how fast it worked and the ease of use with the adapter that I purchased along with this. I would buy this again as a gift.
