Sooooooo worth it! Gorgeous full sound
I am in the process of moving from one house to another and I ordered this wind chime to help make a house a home in the midst of all the moving chaos. It's worked like magic. The sound is so full and beautiful, every time I hear it it just makes me want more of them in more places around the house. I listened to these chimes on YouTube before buying, and I have not been disappointed. When I first took them out of the package and held them in front of me I was afraid they might be too loud, but hanging just outside my bedroom they're perfect. Also, they were wrapped with so much care! Well-protected but still easy to get to when opening. I really hesitated to spend this much money on a wind chime, but I couldn't be happier that I did.

Great Chimes!!
The first set I ordered was smaller and had no change in tone. These have a rich tone to them and sound great. Install right out of box and looks and sounds great. Does take a good little breeze to get going but have a beautiful, peaceful sound. Highly Recommend

It is loved by our dear friend
Definitely a 5-Star product in our estimation! Purchased this as a gift and will gladly do it again! Didn't realize it has 4 (or 6 can't remember) tiny chime tubes for the higher notes hanging inside the large tubes. What a PLUS! It is loved by our dear friend. (My wife would like one but she already has a variety of wind chimes :) Just a note (no pun intended) Krylon make a fabulous product: Krylon K01305 Gallery Series Artist and Clear Coatings Aerosol, 11-Ounce, UV-Resistant Clear Gloss for about $8.00 that I used to spray the wood pieces and clappers before we gave it away. It protects almost anything from UV breakdown for things hanging outside or inside sunny windows. I even sprayed the hanging strings to keep them from deteriorating. It drys very fast, very easy to apply and I use for all of these types of applications. Works great to protect plastics also.

Truly beautiful 'music' from the quality piece...worth the extra money.
These wind chimes make the most beautiful, multi-layered tones. The combination of the larger chimes and the smaller ones in the center is spectacular. And when the chimes are left alone, they continue to 'ring' for another few seconds...good resonance. On the construction side, the supporting cords look to be reinforced for longer life. Most of my chimes have had the strings fail due to being outside in the weather. We are hoping for better string life with this quality piece. The chimes have isolators where the support string passes through (can't see that in the pictures) so there will be minimal wear at the most vulnerable spot. Nice....

music to my ears
My husband got me 2 of these for my birthday, one for the front of my house and one for the back. i absolutely love them. The sound they make is so nice to hear, not clanging but sweet, if that makes any sense. I never get tired of it. It is like soft music in the background while you are talking or if I'm just sitting on my porch drinking coffee it is so soothing, like birds singing in the morning.I very seldom give 5 stars for anything but I don't know how these could be improved. Highly recommend these to anyone that loves to hear sweet chimes.

BEAUTIFUL CHIMES..BEATIFUL SOUND!!
I purchased this about a month ago and immediately hung it near the sliding glass door onto the patio. I was hoping I would be able to pick up some sound even with the door closed, and I can. It is a nice looking chimes and the sound is just lovely! It is mid-range and mellow sounding, not bashful..but not brash either, just right in sound, depth, and pitch. Suspended from the top and surrounded by the outer pipes all around is a smaller 'chimes' which lends a softer, higher note to the outer pipes and continues with a resonating sound as the wind is moving it. An unexpected surprise as I didn't look closely at the design before purchasing. It appears to be well-made but time will tell. As of now, I am very pleased and would recommend it heartily. There was a glitch with the postal delivery, but as usual Amazon came to the rescue even though it was not their fault they took care of the issue. Another reason I am such a loyal and happy customer of Amazon. So..beautiful chimes,, great customer service by Amazon..happy customer:) I will update if any structural issues with chimes as noted by other customers.

Pleasing sound with 2 chimes in 1
I walked down the aisle of our wedding to Pachelbel's Canon in D, so my husband bought this chime as a gift for me on Mother's Day. While I love the sound, do not expect to hear anything really resembling the song -- chimes are just not made that way. In case you did not notice, there is a tiny set of black chimes inside the top of the larger chimes. They provide a very high tinkling sound within the low, deep sounds of the main chime. I typically do not care for the higher pitch chimes, but I find these provide a nice accompaniment, and do not overpower the main chime at all. A suggestion if using reviews to decide between chimes, specifically Woodstock: use chimes.com to compare sounds. I was so thankful months ago to read another review that sent me in that direction. Each chime has a clip of their sound, and provide suggestions for chimes that sound nicely with others. It also gives visual explanation of dimensions. Many are confused because length is typically measured from the top of the hanger to the bottom of the windcatcher and NOT just the chime tubes. But for price, Amazon seems to be the best! I love this chime and would highly recommend it to those who appreciate medium to deep tones!

There's nothing like a Kvistad chime...
I'm a classically trained musician. So when I decided to get a wind chime, I knew I should get one designed by Garry Kvistad. His creations include actual musical notes, perfectly tuned. For example, I bought one from Woodstock Chimes, with notes from Pachelbel's Canon (which I jokingly call Taco Bell's Cannon!). Kvistad's chime sounds like Philip Glass made a minimalist arrangement of this famous 18th century canon. And I mean that as a sincere compliment. A final "note"... Consider installing the chime where I did. I hung it under our patio umbrella. That way it's protected from the weather, but near us, so we can enjoy the Kvistad chime's incredible overtones.
