Lemon on the go...love it!

I have loved these lemon packets and can’t say anything but good about them. I have recommended them to so many people and have given boxes away as presents because they have asked for them. What I have loved is i can take them anywhere as long as I keep them dry and then I can have instant lemon. I put it in my water at restaurants or water bottles on the go and then just keep some in my car or purse. I have used them for cooking as well and it adds a great lemon taste. What I have found is if I let it dissolve a little in my water and stir it around a bit before drinking it the flavor is much better. It has helped me to continuously drink tons of water because of the consistent great flavor. I have it coming monthly because I use so much of it. Would and have recommended to tons!

The size of sugar packets. A good deal, though.

Fantastic deal if you've bought this stuff in the store. I included a close-up of the back of a packet so you can see the ingredients, as well as these packets with some others for a size comparison. The biggest one is the True Lemon that makes 2 quarts, the ones in the middle are the True Lemon packets that come in this pack (front and back), and the one on top is a single serving water bottle packet from Wal-mart.

True to the name...

The opinion expressed in this review is my own. I did purchase this bulk pack with my own money, and did NOT receive it for free in exchange for for "unbiased" review. I have bought this, and was initially sceptical. There are many products that claim to taste like lemon, but end up tasting like chemicals. Each pocket of True Lemon is equivalent to one wedge of lemon. According to the packaging, it contains no sugar (so 0 calories), contains citric acid , lemon oil and lemon juice. Manufacturer claims it is non GMO. Contains no preservatives and is gluten free ( lemons are gluten free naturally). When dissolved, it actually tastes like a real lemon. I was very pleasantly surprised. PROS: - easy to measure- one packet - one wedge of lemon. - non GMO. - no sugar - gluten free (lemons are naturally gluten free) - no preservatives - tastes like real lemon. CONS: - none so far.

I recently had kidney stones from not drinking enough water and drinking way too much tea. I had to have surgery to remove them. WORST TIME EVER.....The dr told me I need to drink more water and add lemon into my diet because the acid in lemons are known to dissolve calcium oxalate stones as they form in the kidneys (my stones were over 90% calcium oxalate). I hate the taste (or non taste as people say..) of plain water. However, this product REALLY gave me the ability to drink water on a regular basis AND add the lemon to my diet that the dr recommended. I use it in my water every day and I've also added it to my cooking. It tastes amazing sprinkled over rice or salad or anything that you would add a regular lemon to. And the best part is that it's all natural. I contacted the company directly (true citrus) and asked for samples and loved it so much that I immediately purchased the bulk case of true lemon and true orange and I can tell you it's worth EVERY PENNY. Thank you, True Citrus!!!

Natural flavor

I love lemon in my tea but somehow often those lemons turn into a moldy mess before I use the entire lemon. I have tried lemon juice in a bottle but was never satisfied with the taste. True Lemon came up as Amazon recommendation when I purchased something else and given the strong reviews I tried. Yes, I agree. It tastes very natural. One package is just the right amount for a large cup of tea. I purchased the Bulk Dispenser. The box has an opening from which the packages can be removed. Each package is foiled lined. The expiration date on my package is 2 years in the future. The list of ingredients on my box shows three things: citric acid, lemon oil, lemon juice. It only has lemon, it is not sweet. I add sugar to my tea just the same as if squeezed some lemon into it. The content of the package is small crystals, less than a teaspoon. Lemon and nothing but the lemon so help you mother nature.

I have to admit I was a skeptic and I read all the 5 star reviews and kept thinking people were lying, high and/or drunk. But I thought one box wont be a big financial loss. I am back on amazon to order 3 more boxes for myself and one for each of my family members who all loved it. This stuff is great in water or tea. I would give it so many more stars if I could. Unlike other people I am not a shill, been paid or received a discount. (I no longer trust reviews of those types) I used my own $$$ to purchase this box. One last thing for people who like me are allergic to artificial and fake sugar this has zero sugar and that include the *natural* Stevia which is gross and disgusting.

500 packets lasted two people 9 months

I bought the 500 pack of these in December (it is now September) thinking it was ridiculous and it would be a lifetime supply. Well, I just ordered another case. My boyfriend and I used them up! I can say that since buying these, I have not purchased a single bottle of water (or soda). I use a refillable 32oz bottle with one or two True Lemon packets and take it everywhere. It is far superior than bottled water, and satisfies when you want something with a little taste. They are good for masking the taste of tap water, too. They're convenient and you can keep them in your car, purse, pocket, cabinets, and wherever. They are just powdered lemon in little packets. If you are looking at these because you are on a ketogenic diet, they DO mask the taste of electrolytes. This means for like 5 cents you can make your own version of a sports drink without sugar or artificial sweeteners. Some True Lemon, and lite salt, and you're replenished.

I guess you can say I love all things lime

I’m on my third box of 500 of these over the course of a few years. They are superior to any liquid packet or bottled limejuice as those all taste artificial to me. I pretty much exclusively use them to flavor drinks like water or club soda. If you’re feeling fancy you can add some agave nectar and make a mocktail margarita. I also sometimes for cooking in a pinch if I’ve run out of fresh limes. In my opinion these taste as good as the real thing. I cannot detect any aftertaste or weirdness. I also mix a packet with my diet coke because I feel the diet coke lime tastes artificial. I like the convenience of these that they are mess free. You don’t have to worry about your lime wedge spraying you in the eye or having to wash a cutting board and knife. Because are crystals they do need to be mixed with liquid and shaken or stirred to dissolve. They do last quite a long time, probably around a year but moisture will eventually get in the packet and make it clump. This doesn’t affect the flavor but makes it take longer to dissolve and get out of the packet. I will get this in a few packets usually at the bottom of a box. I usually just throw these away because it’s not worth the hassle for the price. Overall, I love these and that’s why I’m a repeat customer.

Excellent Product But WARNING!!!!

Natural, delicious and MUCH better than any other water flavor enhancer on the market in my opinion. WARNING: while this True Lemon product tastes great, is good for you and is cost effective, be aware that this is still a citrus product. As such, be mindful that it contains the (natural) citric acid, and that is a NO NO for your tooth enamel. Protect yourself by doing the following: Don't constantly sip your drink over time. Drink quickly. Don't let it sit in your mouth for long Use a straw, and place as far back in your mouth as possible (back teeth still exposed however). Rinse your mouth with water for 30 seconds after you drink this or any other citrus drink. Rinse your mouth with a spoonful of baking soda (not powder). That all said, LOVE this product. Gives a nice zest to my water. If you use any water drops currently, I recommend you try this.
