Almost magic

I have to admit I was disappointed in the way it looks. The blade is white plastic and has an "inexpensive" look to it. However...it is amazing to use on all cheeses from room temperature brie to parmesan reggiano straight from the refrigerator. It cuts much easier than a normal metal knife as it has very little drag as it cuts. It leaves the remaining cheese looking intact, not crumbled or misshapen. The "magic" is the shape of the blade's sides, definitely not in the keenness of the blade. It won't cut a carrot and it would be really hard to cut yourself, but cheese? Fantastico!

I bought my first plastic ribbed cheese knife when I operated a small breakfast sandwich company. It was recommended by my sister in law who is from Wisconsin - they know they cheese! I tried many other methods of slicing consistently sized cheese slices with other cheese knives and nothing compared. This is by far, the BEST cheese knife you can buy. Don't let the plastic fool you!

This is my 3rd cheese knife and when this one breaks I'll buy another. Love them. Not terribly durable but on anything but hard cheeses slices perfectly and the slices don't stick to the knife blade. Easy to wash, by hand or dishwasher. My only complaint is really poor packing from this company. The knife was banging around in a way too big box. No paper, nothing, just empty space. Wasteful and lazy. (Really fast shipping, though, but a little more effort would have been appreciated. )

WOW

I found out about this knife when I tried it out at a family member's house. My first impression was to wonder how well a plastic knife could actually cut - but this thought dissipated as quickly as the knife cut through the first slice of cheddar. I quickly sliced why we needed and then immediately went to my computer and bought one for myself and one for another family member who loves cheese. This thing is AMAZING!

It really works!

My husband placed this order and I thought he was nuts. But of course, I said "Go for it honey!". And when it arrived and is so light and plasticy, I thought, "No way...". But I was wrong. We bought it for our RV, but I'll be buying a second for our home. Makes cutting cheese a breeze. Not sure about anything else as I was specifically looking for a cheese cutter. But it sounds like I might want to try it out for other purposes.

We love the cheese knife

We love the cheese knife. This has become a go to gift for me for house warming, birthday and christmas. Each person I have bought this for wants to know where I bought it because they want to buy as a gift for their friends and family. When entertaining people always ask about it. Great for cheese (of course) but also works great on cake, brownies and bars. Also use it when using my stoneware because it won't scratch. Also love that it goes in dishwasher. I almost never review a product so obviously we are pleased with it!

Best Cheese Knife Ever!!!

I received the knife today. It has already paid for itself. Yes, it's a plastic knife. But I don't care. I care that it works so perfectly!!! I have cut several cheeses without a crumbled mess. Amazingly, it also cut some red potatoes without any effort. I'm impressed. I'm going to order several more for Christmas gifts. And I want another for me.

It's great!

This inexpensive knife works great for any cheese from soft mozzarella to fresh parmigiano-reggiano. It struggles with aged parm-reg, though. Great for cheddar, Swiss, colby -- the usual stuff. Cheese doesn't stick to it and it's a cinch to clean.

This is a wonderful knife. Great all around tool in the kitchen. I also use it to cut deli meats, cookie dough and cheesecake!
