My sister's dog is afraid of his own shadow, so the jingling of his tags on his water bowl has been absolutely terrifying for years. Switched the dangly tags out for this one and he is now able to peacefully drink water for the first time in his life. He now can walk all the way up to the bowl and put his head in, rather than stand 2.8 feet away and do a giraffe neck stretch to get to the water bowl. My sister can also put his food back in a bowl, rather than leaving it on the ground. He previously wouldn't eat his food if it was in a bowl because, as we've established, bowls are terrifying when your tags constantly jingle on them. His life is transformed! And he officially creeps around like a stalking cat, since he no longer has a cow bell of tags around his neck like the common house dog. These slide-on tags are amazingly transformative!

This is the perfect size (I ordered the smallest) for our cat. She hates wearing anything that jingles around her neck, so this will be great for her since it goes all the way on the collar. The customer service was great! My first tag never made it to my mailbox. Not sure where it ended up, but I never got it. I emailed the company and they promptly sent me another one. It comes in a very thin white envelope so make sure you don't throw it away when it arrives. So, the collar I purchased won't work with this tag. The openings on the tag aren't large enough for me to slide onto the collar because of the snaps (pictured. I used the backside to not show personal info) I will have to take it to the pet store and figure out which collar will work with it. However, I am very happy with this purchase. Our cat has gotten out several times and I will have more peace of minding knowing she has a collar on with our info so that no one mistakes her for a stray.

*** UPDATED REVIEW: We moved so I purchased a new tag. No more need to cut the tag, they now offer a slotted tag option. Great quality, fast shipping. New address or new dog I'll order again! I almost didn't purchase this tag because I have a Rogz Utility Extra Large 1-Inch Reflective Lumberjack Dog Collar, Orange for my Lab. I really like the style of these tags. I cannot stand the clink clink clink of dog tags rattling on a collar. ESPECIALLY in the middle of the night when the dog finds a sweet spot behind his ear to scratch. The reviews all stated that this was sturdy metal, and it is. So here is how I got it to work. I used a cutoff disc (hack saw and a vice will work too) to separated the loops and a file to smooth them down. I separated them a bit, wedged the collar in and use a hammer to gently tap the tag back together. Excellent! So if you are hesitant about buying the tag (and have access to a cut off or hacksaw) don't be. Hope this helps. I am very happy with the new tag!

LIKE THESE BEST, These tags were affordable, very well done and extremely easy to read for either, "Adjustable Buckle" type or to "Sew-On" a plastic snap together collar. I have old buckle collars which are in great shape and don't use the plastic "snap-type" closures. After 4 dogs over 35 years, I believe the "Buckle" type are more secure, easier to adjust, as dogs' necks change in size and are overall, safer for the dog or cat. These SLIDE-ON TAGS are beautifully engraved, easy to read. Whether the collar has plastic "snap-on" or older "buckle" collar these tags can be used. I personally like to sew these tags on collars with a heavy duty thread. They won't slide over the plastic snap-ons but they also won't fall off if the rivets with other tags, come apart. Overall, I have both collar types and ordered these because I know they won't just come apart...especially if I sew them in a plastic snap collar. Again, in my opinion, the slide/sew on tags when used, sort of remind me to check whether I need to adjust the collar size up or down, as the dog or cat's neck size changes. The plastic collars snaps do break more often & can fall off easily if they break. The "belt" type with metal adjustments are far less likely to fall off...unless...your dog like my pup, can bite through collar that's a bit too loose.

Best tags I ever had for my dogs. Stainless steel does not color fur. They fit on the collar with a ponytail band.

I purchased the Medium slide tag. I actually purchased it for my dad who has Alzheimers. I was able to put the tag on his shoe using the shoe laces and it fits beautifully and is easy to see in case he gets lost and needs help back home. The tag look professional and the engraving was well done.

I purchased the size medium. The engraving was done nicely. I have purchased engraved things from other sites and it wasn't very nice, but this one lived up to expectations. A previous reviewer had mentioned not being able to fit it on a leather collar. We used a traditional nylon collar and it worked fine, but I could see this being an issue for a leather collar. If using on a leather collar, I'd suggest going up a size. If you're using it on a traditional buckle non-leather collar, very nice quality at a very reasonable price.

Tags are beautiful. I was an idiot though because my dogs collars are clip type so unable to slide on. So be sure you have buckle type collars to slide on.

I was in the market for a new ID tag for my Coonhound/Australian Shepherd mix. *I needed it to be easily visible to strangers. My thoughts on so many other ID tags/companies/styles on the market: -Why aren’t all ID tags easier to read? -What’s the point in our pets wearing one if it isn’t immediately visible to strangers? -No, seriously. What are the chances that a stranger, someone already kind enough to help your dog find her way back to you, will also be blessed with abnormally fast reflexes and be experienced in the “sport” of catching adventurous/sneaky/foul-smelling (uncatchable) dogs? Sure, some pet owners don’t have playful dogs who live for “the chase,” but I’d say a LOT of us do. -And what about the dogs who get nervous around strangers and would rather not be grabbed by their collar? I originally was sold on the idea of a monogrammed collar (with my dog’s name and info on it,) but chose this option instead. We go through collars fast with our dog. We also can’t buy collars that have plastic clasps, because they get chewed up. I have yet to find any monogrammed collars with metal clasps, for sale. However, I’m not looking anymore because this tag is better than a monogrammed collar, and is exactly what we needed. Finally, something that lasts! *My criteria included- nonslip, durable, and compatible with all collars. *A delightfully unexpected perk about this ID tag is that it slips on/off easily, but only if we choose to remove her collar and tag to wash (or eventually replace) her collar. My escapee dog gets weekly baths and her collar is soaked/washed heavily because of her scent-chasing, bad habit. No matter how much we try to keep her in, my stinky fur friend comes back reeking of adventure; crawfish, creek, and marinated in mud! I feel like I’m winning her game, though. I found the perfect ID tag for ALL pet owners. But especially for a dog like mine!! (Shipping was much faster than expected, too!!) Fantastic quality, great price!!!! Highly recommend!

I ordered two of these dog tags--the kind that has a "slit" cut out of each side so that the tags can be inserted on dog collars that have buckles on both ends. I am super pleased with the quality! The medal is thicker than I expected and of high quality. The engraving is crisp, clear, and deep and far superior to the engraving that you'd get in one of those pet-store kiosks. I ordered a Small and XSmall size for two different dogs (20 and 4lbs, respectively), and both of them fit perfectly on their collars. Once inserted on the collars, the tag sticks firmly in place and does what it's supposed to do--identify your dog. While I wasn't as concerned about the looks as I was function, I must say that they look really nice too! And.. shipping was pretty quick for a custom product too.
