Efficient and easy to use
I love fresh cherry season but hate the runny sticky mess. This easily punches the pit out of four cherries all at once. You have to pull out the stem and line them up on the tray, but snapping it down presses the pits out. There are warnings in the instructions about watching out for partial pits that may be left behind - I didn't ever have that problem, but occasionally the pit did get left in the cherry. I just always checked for four pits each time and if it wasn't there it was always easy to tell which one didn't come out. Easy to use, solves a messy problem. I hate single-purpose kitchen tools but this one is worth it. It also locks shut to go in the back of the drawer until next cherry season.

YES! Makes a tedious job Simpler, Faster!
Feeling lucky as this is the 2nd kitchen gadget I bought this summer that Actually Works with minimal fuss. Cleans easily witha swish of warm soapy water (I wouldn’t bother putting this in the dishwasher, myself), and let it air dry a bit before storing it in its own box or a zip bag. Pitted lots of bing cherries fast (which I chopped up for homemade cherry vanilla ice cream)! Some gadgets require more fussing/ cleaning etc than they’re worth.

Love!!
Omg sooooooo much easier than those single cherry hand held ones that make a gigantic mess of your hands! Plus you can do 6 at once and it catches all the pits in the bottom. If youve never used one and are new to this stuff, like me, there is a little lock and unlock button on top. When you press down to remove the pits, just switch to unlock to open it back up and it pushes the cherries off the prongs too. Then close and lock again before the next cherries. Wah-la! Check your cherries though. Depending on the skin toughness, the skin may or may not release the pit. Ive only had it happen with maybe a half dozen out of literally 23 pounds of cherries I have pitted with this this year.

One of the few single function kitchen tools that is worth it.
Used for a couple years now to get prepare cherries for snacking. I've had a 99% success rate with removing pits. The failed cherries are pretty easy to ID since there is no "exit wound," just a cross from where the mechanism missed the pit. It has not stained when washed off with water after use. Ended up giving some as gifts after I positive feedback on a the bowls of cherries I brought to a few playdates. I'm do not like single function kitchen tools, but this and the OXO strawberry huller (link below) are 2 tools that just work and really save time. https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Easy-Release-Strawberry-Huller-Tomato/dp/B00I3W2RJO

Love it, but please make one that is for cherries only. Still worth it though.
Cherry pitter where have you been all my life?!!! I didn't even know this product existed until...well I don't know how I came across this little treasure find but man, I am glad I did. I was pitting cherries (for smoothie bowls) one by one with a pairing knife *sad emoji* *gun emoji*. I hated it. BUT I love cherries so I kept at it. I found this at the end of cherry season but was able to use it a few times before the cherries ran out. It works really well. place the cherries on top in the four slots closest to the lip of the tray and simple press down in a quick and firm motion ( think hole punch, the kind that does a whole page), and presto! I can de-pit 4 cherries in a fifth of the time it takes me to do 1 by hand with a pairing knife. The only thing I DON'T like is that there are only 4 slots for cherries and the other four slots are for olives. They should make on specifically for olives and one specifically for cherries, that way you can do 8 at a time. I personally, don't really like olives and have never bought a single can of them, much less tried pitting them, so half of this tray is useless to me. This device is easy to clean, the cherry/olive tray lifts right up and a quick and easy rinse in hot water is all it needs. I also really like that you can locked it closed using the tab at the top, it makes is real easy to store.

What a cool little gadget!
We had a "bumper" crop from our two trees this year and were naturally overwhelmed with cherries. I started shopping for some "help" and came across this item. After getting the hang of it I was able to pit a bag of cherries for the freezer much quicker than with a knife or the traditional pitter. Yes you do have to keep an eye out for a few that wind up with a pit, however I generally found that the pits are just still attached to the meat of the fruit and didn't just pop out. I was able to see them each time. I do believe that the size and ripeness of the fruit have a huge bearing on the pitter's effectiveness. My cherries (mostly bing) were not over ripe and so the skin was a bit tuffer so the pits may have clung to the fruit meat. None the less I give this one a two thumbs up: easy to clean and use. It is made of a good heavy plastic and should last a long time if it is not repeatedly slammed down hard.

Great cherry pitter - highly recommend!
Best thing since sliced bread! I had read some negative reviews about this tool not pitting cherries all the way but most of the reviews were positive. So I bought this cherry pitter and so glad that I did. It very easily pits cherries effortless and quickly. Having the tray is also very helpful because the juices and the pits are caught at the bottom. It takes minutes to pit 15-20 cherries. I don't make pies but just use it to eat cherries without the pits. The top tray that holds the cherries lifts up and there are two different sizes for big and smaller cherries. If you need to make a pie or just want a quick way to pit cherries, I would definitely buy this cherry pitter.

Got Cherries?You Need This Tool!
Works well.Very well made tool for taking out the pits.Have only used on cherries, but ripe olives will pit just as easily,I feel sure.Arrived promptly and takes care of the boring, time consuming job in no time.At this price it cannot be beat!Way faster than any of the single cherry pit removers on the market.Only pits 4 at a time, but built more sturdy than the 6 at a time ones that are similar.Buy it! you will be glad you did1

BEST INVENTION EVER
Why oh why did I wait so long to shell out the $10 for this gadget?! As one who eats gallons of cherries every summer, this will save me so much hassle, and now I can supply them to both my 7 and 4yr olds without the mess or aggravation of wasted cherry flesh. The device is so easy and efficient, even my 4yr old could use it to pit cherries!

You mean I don't have to spit out the cherry pits???!!!
We bought cherries infrequently in part due to the whole what to do with the seed... other than picking them out of our mouth. I volunteer on my son's HS band boosters, and we do snack breaks for the kids during summer band (105* + in TX heat on the black top) to keep them hydrated, cool, and having fun. We preslice the fruit into bite sized bits so they can grab a piece and get back to marching. Cherries were on sale one week and a parent brought in a huge bag. Another booster went home and brought her cherry pitter. Yeah, added that to my kitchen gadget stash. It's like a hole puncher for fruit. It is a little difficult to clean (the portion behind the puncher), but if you do it right away, just squirt soap and use your kitchen sprayer to rinse. We've been enjoying cherry coke and cherry lemonade. :)
