2007 Tacoma blower assembly - perfect fit, easy install, no issues - at this point

Replaced a 2007 factory fan that would no longer run at any speed other than HIGH. No, the issue is not with the blower resistor - in this case. The original fan has over 200,000 miles of air pushed through it and the commutator was just worn out. I ordered the new fan on a Sunday, it arrived late Monday afternoon = WOW! The installation process took maybe 5 minutes. Disconnect the wire connector at the blower. Disconnect 2 wire loom hangers. Remove 3 5.5mm hex head screws. Pop out the old fan, slip in the new one and button it all back together. The new fan runs quietly, all speed settings work well, it fits perfectly. Be sure to order a fan for you Make, Model and Year, and you should have no issues.

TYC 700188 Blower Motor Assembly and - Installed and works and sounds just like OEM fan

My 2008 Tacoma is 11 years old and developed the intermittent problem blower motor four years ago in 2015. I completely dissembled the blower and repaired it every year by filing the fan motor staitor and contact bushings, it worked great for ~ 12 months after each repair. When the new designed solid state resistor board came out I finally decided to replace both the resistor & fan motor. The only challenge was getting to the two screws that fasten the resistor in the foot well. I absolutely recommend installing the new resistor board design that replaces the " Made in Slovenia" OEM resistor. (The new design is: 973-582 HVAC Fan Blower Motor Resistor w/Wire Harness for 2005-2017 Toyota Tacoma) The fan now works great and sounds exactly like the OEM. Great products ! I Highly recommend.

Easy install.

2006 Tacoma. Arrived well packaged. Installs easily. Make sure it's aligned properly/flush before screwing back in. Not louder than an OEM. It is louder than the motor you replace as chances are that one is going bad and is barely moving any air. My gut (scientific term) tells me this moves less volume than brand new stock but not by much. I'm swapping out the cabin filter to see if that helps improve airflow. You'll need to transfer the plastic cable holder tab but it's a simple swap overall. 20 minutes at most. May 2017 Update: Used a "TYC 800038P Toyota/Pontiac Replacement Cabin Air Filter" to replace dirty and clogged one. Blower is pushing out a lot of volume now.

Don't listen to the bad reviews

I was in a rush to get a new blower motor in my 07 Tacoma as the original motor sometimes did not work. This item came in the day after I ordered it, just in time before I picked up my woman and some friends to go to an anime event. The install was super quick; three screws, unplug one cable and then shake it out of there. Some buyers have reported there to be a "high pitch wining" noise but it's not high pitch at all, as noisy as the Tacoma gets on the road you wouldn't even notice the noise this motor makes. The noise sounds like a very very faint hair dryer noise; can hardly hear it unless you pay close attention. Not high pitch at all and I hate annoying nosies. for under $45, this is a good value.

No more ticking.

3/15/19 This blower is still going strong and QUIETLY at that! Highly recommend! Works as advertised. This unit is ever so slightly louder than the OEM (when the OEM wasn't ticking) once you have the radio on and are moving, you don't hear it at all. I mean you really have to listen for it. Also, the CFM on this blower seems to be a bit higher as well. If you're tired of the ticking, just buy this unit, it's well worth it. As for it's longevity...idk. I've only had it about a week. Honest Review

For months my blower was ticking in my 05 Tacoma. Toyota wanted $500+ to replace the blower with the labor. Saw this and for the price gave it a shot. There are tons of YouTube videos of Tacoma owners replacing this part, so after watching videos I felt it was easy enough to do myself. It honestly was very easy to install, just make sure you have a 5.5mm or 7/32in socket (might be an odd size for some people to have). In all took about 20-30 min from start to finish. Sure this part is a bit louder, but after a few days i can’t even tell anymore. Being a less expensive aftermarket part, if this lasts a year or longer ill be happy, its much less than having the dealer replace it even if ive got to get another one do the road. It fits perfect and ive got heat again!

As good as OEM for me

This seems like a direct replacement for the OEM. Fits and sounds identical to the one that came with my vehicle. Cant speak to longevity over years, but let's be honest our Toyota/GM blower motors all crapped out prematurely as well. For 20-30% the price or an OEM I am willing to take my chances.

Fits 2008 Toyota Tacoma perfectly

Fits 2008 Toyota Tacoma perfectly. Reused original wire support clip from old unit. OEM wire connector snaps right in and all mounting screws line up perfectly. Operation is smooth and quiet. Recommend replacing cabin air filter at the same time.

Fast shipping and easy installation

Easy installation and works great! It might be slightly louder than the old one but I think mostly because it is moving more CFM. Since I installed it, I run it on medium speed for the most part.

Product was exactly as described and arrived quickly. I was able to replace the part in less than 15 minutes. Blower is slightly louder than manufacture installed part though it is not unpleasant or annoying. There are no instructions included but the replacement is very straight-forward. The blower has been working perfectly for the last couple weeks and I am very please and would recommend this part.
