Major improvement over stock
2008 Civic EX coupe, Consumer reports rates this car very high in all areas except for the climate system which earned a big black ball and I think the stock blower is the reason why. I can’t believe I went 10 months with my fan working one week and not the next. Virtually alternating weeks and it was frustrating. Maybe it was the resistor, maybe the connection, maybe the fan. Don’t mess around, just buy this new complete assembly and get on with your life. Some reviewers say it takes 10-15 minutes to replace but it only takes 5 minutes. Now it is stronger and quieter than before. Easier than changing a bulb and solved the intermittent problem. Now it blasts heat and cold every time. PS if your fan makes a clicking sound, you probably have a twig, a pebble or a leaf in the blades or it’s rubbing on the air filter. remove the fan and clear it out. I feel stupid for not doing it sooner. This is a definite upgrade over stock, do it now, stop messing around, trust me.

It Blows!
For a while now, my 2010 Honda Civic LX, I have had an issue where my A/C or heater would not blow anything. Sometimes, it would work great and other times, it would make a strange noise, like a card on a bicycle tire or not work at all! It would also blow very weakly and then slowly fade out. It always happened when I really needed it, very annoying. I installed this part in less than 10 minutes and it works great! It plugs right in and with 3 screws was working strong in minutes. I still have to see how it works out in the long run but so far so good. October 2019 Update: It still blows! Still blows every time I turn on the A/c or heater. Have had no issues with it so far.

Good quality and reliable
I bought this unit for my 2009 civic because my OEM unit failed. This fan is about 1/3 the price of OEM from Honda and has worked reliably for me for over a year now. The unit is quiet and installs easily. My only complaints are that the electrical connection required a bit of pressure to fully connect as it was a tight fit and the highest setting is slightly less powerful than OEM. However, it has worked great and the air flow is plenty and this is significantly cheaper than a Honda unit, not to mention you can save a ton of money by installing this at home in about 10-15 minutes using nothing more than a ratchet or a screwdriver.

My heat and ac stopped working, now they work like new
The blower motor in my 08' Honda Civic recently started acting up. First, the heat/ac would only blow air intermittently, usually only after you had been driving for 20-30 minutes. It would also make a noise like a playing card on bicycle spokes and generally became louder when it did work. I ran the diagnostic tool on the HVAC and it blinked six times. This means there is a problem in the blower motor circuit. Simply replacing the blower motor fixed this for me and my heat and ac now work like new. On my model, this part was so simple to install that anyone could do it. You simply remove the kick board on the passenger side and unscrew 3 screws. That's it. Saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what I would have had to pay to have it replaced at the Honda dealership. Highly recommended.

Worked like a charm for my 08 Civic Si
Bought this for my 2008 Honda Civic Si. Fit perfectly and took no more than 10min to install. Started the car and the air blew like the first day I bought the car (from recollection of course). It required a number 25 torx screwdriver, but look like it had wider slots that a flathead would fit as well. Only three screws to remove after popping the panel off under the glovebox and it dropped right out. The original fan had a ticking noise for the longest time. It would intermittently work and not work. Eventually on high it would barely blow air till it finally gave out. So if any others are having this issue, it is a cheap and quick fix. I will update this review if things change. I literally installed this 30min ago and was so happy to have it working again, figured I'd leave a review.

2007 Jeep Rubicon perfect fit
Perfect fit for my 2007 Jeep Rubicon. I don't miss the old noise my old blower had developed. The only issue was that it arrived damaged. The blower was well packaged inside a box and shipped within another box with other items. Neither box was damaged. This tells me that it was damaged at the factory. Probably dropped during packaging and the guy packaging it put it in the box anyway. Who's gonna know? The damage was minor. Simply a cracked off piece about four inches long along and a quarter inch wide on the rim. The motor and fan were undamaged. I just superglued it back together. This minor damage didn't affect performance and no one will ever see it so it wasn't worth returning for a replacement. Installation in the Jeep was very easy. Three easy access screws and the power plug.

The blower went out on our 2007 Honda Civic and ...
The blower went out on our 2007 Honda Civic and it was going to cost a few hundred dollars to diagnose and fix the problem at a local mechanic shop. This part is one of the easiest to change on the civic. There is a piece that drops down under the glove compartment section and a few screws hold this in. You simply unplug the connector, unscrew the old one and then reverse the steps to install the new. The car was not blowing any air before swapping this out and as soon as I turned the key I knew it was fixed. It's been going strong ever since. You can save a lot of money by purchasing this and throwing it in yourself.

I wish I had known about this 13 years ago...
I have a 2008 Honda Civic EX. I bought the car new and it is a great car except for the A/C. It never seemed to run well. I experienced similar things already described here by other Civic owners. The fan would start off strong, grow weaker and then not work at all. I would shut the system off for a while and turn it back on and it would work for a while and then quit again. As the car continued to age, the fan would sometimes not come on at all. Then mysteriously a few days later it would start again. I installed this fan replacement in 15 minutes. It now blows air better than the original did new. I wish I had just replaced it the first year I had the car. So much needless sweating in the sweltering heat down here.

A/C...fixed!
This part fit the bill exactly. The AC in my 2009 Honda Civic was really starting to sputter and eventually just quit blowing. After doing some looking and reading online, I came across this part on Amazon. The reviews all seemed to be describing the exact same symptoms I was seeing so I decided to order. I installed the part today and it literally took me 10 minutes (and I'm not a car guy). Once installed, I gave it the test and, boom, my AC is back! Pretty awesome, especially considering the price and the money saved by doing the repair myself. If you can turn a screwdriver, you can do this yourself. Don't hesitate, get your AC back today!

Works great and pretty easy.
I have a 2006 civic LX (Canada-made). My blower was making noise and then finally quit altogether. So I changed it out. I know some people posted they had a 10 mm or phillips screws holding it in (on youtube), but in my case they were unusual star-type security screws. Luckily a torx bit fit in almost right and since these are not very tight it worked fine (could not make a phillips work but I think a very small hex -- much smaller than 10 mm - might have fix around the outside of them as well). Something to keep in mind. Other than the unusual screws this was a very easy job. You just unsnap a large plastic baffle that is under the glove box and then this thing is facing straight up. Undo the connector, unscrew the three screws, put the new one in, screw the three screws, redo the connector. Like 15 minutes. The TYC item works great and in my case is quieter than the Honda unit even when it was new. I was surprised the Honda unit had quite a bit of rust in the center, but this car has been a bit of lemon for me anyway, so at least this was a cheap fix.
