Exactly what I needed! Turned my old tamale pot and propane burner into a BREWING BUDDY! I learned BIAB (brew in a bag) and my beers have been awesome! These together did the trick! Bayou Classic 800-770 Brew ThermometerEasy to install with basic knowledge, and contains all needed parts.

At first the valve leaked (not from where it was installed, but out of the nipple/valve itself) - but I think it just needed to warm up to seat the inside gaskets themselves. Worked great after that. Seems to be of sturdy construction (I've purchased cheaper ones like this before from China, not so great). I would purchase again.

This was a bit more pricey than I expected, but it's well worth it. It installed easily as a replacement spigot that came with my kettle. I replaced the barb hose connector with a cam lock coupler and there was no issues. Make sure you use thread tape. It cleans up easily as well. Over all, great product!!

This is the best quality for price ball valve I have purchased. I have tried several others. Black rubber on the handle with sliding locker, so you don’t accidentally dump boiling wort on yourself. Has a hole to actually lock closed or open.

This came with three different size washers. It wouldn’t fit with all three, so we used only one and it worked fine. Could’ve used a note about that. The lock got stuck and we had to disable it with a screwdriver. Otherwise, it is a well made, dependable product. We used it with the 6” screen and adapter to prevent sangria fruit from plugging the spout instead of fir home brewing .

I purchased this to use on a home depot Rubbermaid 10 gallon cooler to use as a mash tun. Unfortunately, Rubbermaid has increased the size of the hole in their coolers so you will need a 2 inch nipple to go with it as the threads on this hex nipple are too short, and you will need an extra metal washer (that fits the imprint on the outside of the cooler). Put the 2inch nipple in the hole with the rubber washer that came with the cooler on the inside. Put the silicone washer that came with this on the outside. Place the stainless steel washer that comes with this kit on the inside against the washer then the nut. Put an extra nut on the outside and then tighten. Use Teflon tape and add the spigot. It works fine and seals perfectly bit you will need an extra washer, 1/2" nipple, and extra but. If you get the Lowes Igloo cooler then this kit works as is. Take the hex nut nipple and put a washer on it to the hex nut, then put the o ring. Insert the nipple into the hole from the outside so the hex but presses against the washer to press against the oring. On the inside place the silicone washer on the nipple and them tighten the nut. Seals perfectly.

I purchased this for my SS brew kettle. Just drilled a 7/8 in. hole, inserted and tightened down. Works perfectly. I`m glad I found this because It sure saved me $$. My SS brew kettle I bought on sale for 30 bucks and this valve is 20 bucks so as I see it I saved about 50 bucks vs buying a kettle with this option already on it. Even if I bought the thermometer to go with this I'm still money ahead. Good product, solid and easy to install (use a step drill)

This is a very nice set which contains everything to connect a ball valve to a kettle. If you are looking to attach this to a cooler, then you will need a longer nipple. The one that is included works great for thin materials. I ended up buying another ball valve while at the hardware store getting a longer nipple. I used to parts from this build to complete the assembly on this 42 cup coffee urn.

This Valve is a great buy.. I had no issues installing it. Buying this complete Valve assembly was less expensive than buying the pieces separately online or from the local hardware store. The quality is excellent and it even has a 'lock off" to keep you from accidentally opening the valve.

Worked perfectly with my home depot orange 10 Gallon cooler as a mash tun conversion. It's a little too short but you can get the nut to catch the thread and screw just fine, it'll be better to buy a coupling to go with this if you're planning to attach a bazooka or something like that. I use this for mash in a bag.
