Great quality
I am 27 and decided to learn how to longboard. I am not as adventurous as my younger self so I decided to get protective gear. I got M runs a bit big I probably could of gotten the S but works great!

Excellent protective padding set for a beginner skateboarder
My wife and I purchased a skateboard for our small five year old son at Christmas and also decided to try this series of protective gear as well. This Triple 8 pack includes two knee pads, two elbow pads and two palm and wrist guards. The materials are mostly stitched nylon, plastic cups and velcro fasteners. I ordered the size appropriate for a five year old and the protective pads actually fit very well. They are also fairly easy to put on and take off and have already saved my son from one elbow scratch. Now if they would just make a butt pad as well :) All kidding aside, these are great little pads for the beginner skateboarder. If you child is in to skateboarding more seriously or is spending a great deal of time with it, I might go with something more rugged but for my small son's needs, this hits the spot. Five stars.

Roller Derby Beginner
I just started roller derby and didn't want to spend a ton on gear. I made a good choice with this set. We've done a ton of knee slides and knee tap drills, and my knees have felt zero pain. :)

Great Value
I am impressed with what I got for the price. I was worried about the look based on the pictures, but in person, they are nice and discreet. I probably will not use these all the time, but I have noticed it has helped me perform stand up slides more confidently as falls do not present as much of a threat. They are not as uncomfortable as I feared, and I am sure some more expensive slide on knee and elbow pads might be more comfortable, but this gets you the basic protection you need for a great price.

Excellent Value
Received box on two days as promised, properly packed. Tried the 3 sets and I feel confident they will do the job (protecting covered areas) Materials used are light, easy to wear,I am 140 lbs and medium built, they fit me well, purchased this items after falling down biking and sustained a painful strain/fracture on my right thumb. I am 70 y/o and cannot afford broken bones IF I can do something to help prevent it. I like the way the plastic append-um is placed on the wrist palmar face,it more likely will take the brunt on a fall with my hand extended and more likely will prevent a wrist fracture, notice I use "prevent" not sure anything is 100% secure.also have I had it on in my last fall more "likely"will have prevented my injury. As for the knees and elbows they are more straightforward on design and anatomical expectations, again more likely will do the job on a fall. Perhaps on a hard fall any of these may break,so? for less than $ 30.00 if I save an Emergency Room bill (many many hundred dollars) will be more than happy to replace the set.

Excellent quality
So far I’m happy with the fit and quality! I’ve used them a couple times during long skates and don’t see any issues at all. The wrist guard material has a see through mesh that some say may not last. I think that may be an issue for those aggressively skating, taking lots of falls but for me, I think the mesh will last a long time and provides breathability to the wrist guard.

Ride with confidence to build confidence!
Being late into the skating game and in my 30's with responsibilities, I'm really cautious nowadays. The set that's offered by Triple 8 is not only great in value and build, but gives me the sense of comfort and safety of learning how to cruise faster and faster with some safety.

size junior fits my 5 1/2 year old. nice pads as well
Size "Junior" fits my 5 1/2 year old well. I would NOT go with any other size for a small child as the "junior" size is the smallest this company offers. That said, if you have a 6 and below go with "junior" sizing. Nice product. My neighbor was bragging how they got a pads pack that ran $20 at walmart. They were a generic brand and were NOT as good quality as these. These are around the same price and are nice pads. I have a medium for me (an adult) but they are a more padded version made by triple 8 which costs more. Mine are better pads BUT you have to consider what a small child will be trying on a skateboard ramp and these are darn good for what a small child will be attempting.

Be safe please
Busted my a** going down a road and the Knee protector had a big dent on it. I could just imagine that being my knee so that right there made it more than worth the purchase. I still have knee pain but this took a great impact from me being stupid. Always wear protection. The elbow guards I find uncomfortable but the wrist guards look cool and definitely help.

Great Fit and Feeling Secur
(Shortboard surfer transitioning into longboard skateboarder) I'm 5'4, 117 pounds, and I purchased the small size. It fits really well and the quality is pretty good. I fear less about falling with this gear on. I am not planning to do hard core tricks, just cruise. Thus this gear is just right.
