I smile when I mop...
Yes. It's true. I have had this mop for over a week, I use it at least twice a day, and I still smile when I use it. This mop is the most incredible thing to clean floors! I have theRubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop Kit, FG1M1600GRYRD and this review might as well be for both products, as they are equally amazing. I have a house will all wood floors - including kitchen, both bathrooms, and all the bedrooms. We also have a flagstone patio that has loads of sand. Sand and wood floors are not friends. At least twice a day, I use the dry mop head. I used the Swiffer Wet Jet before buying this mop, and the Reveal is much more heavy-duty. No flexing of the pole when you scrub with it. The mop head also pivots in all directions, and is incredibly thin. With both the dry and wet mop heads, I can get under the edges of my fridge, stove, sofa, etc. It also pivots well enough to reach under my coffee table, and pedestal kitchen table, and sweep cleanly around the feet. The pivot is smooth and easy, and I can work quickly across larger areas of floor, swinging the mop around at each end and coming back for the next stroke. The dry mop head is microfiber, and has those 2" loops all around the edges to catch flyaways. The microfiber does a magnificent job of picking things up. I've had to work to remove triscuits crumbs and a toothpick shard! When the mop starts pushing too much, I usually push the "chunks" into a pile in the corner, then quickly twist the mop back and forth to shake off the dirt. Then I use a whisk broom and dust pan to sweep up the pile. I can honestly say that after just using the dry mop, I walk barefooted across my floors and I do not feel any grit!! Try getting that clean with a bristle broom!! Now for the spray-mop part. This kit comes with 3 microfiber wet-mop heads. The idea is that once the microfiber picks up enough debris, it can't hold anymore. Rather than stop to rinse the head, you can just grab a clean one then toss them all in the wash. I HAVE NEVER USED ONE UP!!! Since I use the dry mop first, my wet mop is only barely dingy after moping my ENTIRE HOUSE!! Yes, all 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen and hall - I never have to get a new wet mop head because 95% of the dirt was picked up by the dry mop. But, any dust that might have been left behind gets grabbed by the microfiber and my floors are shiny and grit free. Also, the kit comes with 2 bottles to fill with your favorite floor cleaner. I use Murphey's Wood Oil Soap, and my house smells clean and fresh all day. If I had linoleum or tile, I could fill the other bottle with regular floor cleaner, although I have read that Murphey's is great for everything from wood, to vinyl, to counters and mirrors! There is no particular place on the bottle for a "label" so I just wrote on the front of the bottle with a sharpie. The bottles also have convenient lines on the side for how much water/cleaner to put in - no measuring! There are only a few cons to this product. For the dry mop head - if you hit a wet spot, it tends to grab the floor and drag a bit. Just a function of the microfibers, I think. Also, when you rip off the dry mop head to shake it out, be sure you do it outside - the dust will fly! For the mop itself, the trigger to dispense the floor cleaner tends to stick. When I squeeze it all the way, it doesn't want to release to get another spray. A quick squeeze fixes it. A very small annoyance in my book. In my opinion, this is the perfect mop. One tool for dry and wet, on-board cleaner, fantastic at picking up large and small pieces. I am telling all my friends with wood floors to steer clear of those disposable "easy" mops and go for this one!!

I love this mop!
I'm a professional cleaner and purchased this mop along with a dry mop attachment (sold separately) for myself to try it out for my cleaning business. I've worked with a ton of commercial floor-cleaning equipment and this is the BEST I've ever used. Saves from having to tote around extra equipment and tools, uses up less storage space and provides more economical use of cleaners AND the mop heads (scrubby, dry and wet) are washable! I sweep and mop my kitchen, hallway and bathroom in five minutes! I love this mop!

Makes me look forward to mopping!
This thing is AWESOME! I want to get one for all my friends! The handle is longer and has a cushion so very comfortable to use. The mop head is thicker and wider than Swiffer I get my whole downstairs clean I half the time than a Swiffer or a regular mop. The spray dispenses the perfect amount of water with a wide angle and about 1.5 feet in front of the mop. I love that there are no batteries, the mop scrubber is washable, and I can put my OWN solution in the bottle. My Mrs.Meyers cleaning solution plus water is perfect for this thing. No being forced to buy expensive brand name cleaning solutions. You can use whatever you want, Pinesol, vinegar, Lysol, anything mixed with the water so it’s very versatile. My only regret is that I didn’t know about this sooner! I can’t believe how fast I just mopped my laminate floors!

so good. I would definitely recommend this Rubbermaid Spray Mop
I've only used this Rubbermaid Spray Mop twice but I'm thinking I chose the right one. At first I found the mop to be too dry to adequately wash my kitchen floor but soon got the hang of it. The mop becomes wet but not exceedingly wet so that your floor takes a half hour to dry. I found the fact that I mix my own cleaning solution to be a big plus. I actually had enough solution to wash my floor a second time after it had completely dried. I had no issue with the spray not spraying correctly or not spraying at all. I did make a point of making sure the hole where the solution is sprayed from is totally cleaned and open before letting everything dry out. I also hand washed my mop head and it dried within several hours. So far, so good. I would definitely recommend this Rubbermaid Spray Mop.

Love this mop!
Based off my first use I am going to give this five stars. I already love this mop. I purchased this to replace a 2.5 years old Swiffer Wet Jet. If this mop only last half as long, I will feel like I got my money's worth (only $25)! I've included size comparison photos, so you can see the size of The Reveal vs Swiffer Wet Jet. The Reveal mop is light weight and a great length for met at 5'6". The Reveal allows for longer strokes and the cleaning base is substantially larger than the Swiffer Wet Jet, so you're covering more area by length and width than you would with the SWJ. The reusable cleaning cloths are great. They are not as abrasive as the disposable SWJ pads, so if you have any "stuck on" stuff you may have to put a little extra elbow grease into it. There are no batteries, instead you use a pump action trigger (similar to a spray bottle) to spray the cleaner. The sprayer sprays a really good distance. I noticed that if you do not want it to spray as far or wide, you can hold the mop arm more upright. The Rubermaid Reveal is also so much quieter than the SWJ (an added bonus when you have a sleeping toddler). The bottles that hold solution are a decent size. I was able to mop nearly all of my home (master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, play room, front and back mud rooms and laundry room) with one bottle of solution and one cleaning pad. The cleaning pad wasn't even sopping wet by the time I was done. My cleaning time was cut down by 20 minutes! This was a great purchase and I would definitely recommend! My set came with the mop (no assembly required), two solution bottles and three reusable cleaning pads.

Great Puchase.
I absolutely love the Rubbermaid mop. I have of course used traditional mops, and I previously purchased a Swiffer mop set. Regular mops clean well, but are clunky, tedious, and tend to get gunky fairly quickly; not to mention finding replacement heads that fit your model. The Swiffer was useful for a quick spruce up, but not for a really good deep clean. I often had to use several sheets to get an entire floor (this is the older model without the spray attachment), and again, buying replacement cleaning sheets was a bit tedious and pricey. Also, the catches for the sheets were really not that dependable. I bought this kit, and I seriously love it. I even mop more because it makes it so easy to clean up. It comes with two mop heads, but I've actually just reused one over and over by spraying it off after use in the sink (I bought this kit early this year, and just now have removed the first head for washing.) I see unlimited re-usability since the mops are washable, and the kit I purchased came with two heads. I also use a vinegar water solution (1:2 or 1:3 depending on preference) that I know cleans and will pick up dirt, and leave the floors with a bright luster. Highly recommend for apartments and small multi-room areas.

I've never been so thrilled to clean the floors. :)
Last week my mop broke. I was upset. (we're in the middle of potty training. a mop is essential!) It broke right where the metal met the plastic on the pole. I was actually quite angry for a bit, thinking what a hunk of junk, i'll never buy another one... WAIT a second, I thought... Then I realized that I had bought it- a Rubbermaid Reveal mop- in 2013. That mop had lasted just over 3 years, and while that's not a great deal of time I couldn't imagine a sponge mop or a Swiffer mop lasting any longer. Then I realized how much I really did LOVE the mop (which is why I was so mad in the first place) and that if I bought a new one I would already have some extra mop pads and an extra soap/water bottle. So I logged on to Amazon and purchased a new one right away. When I got it I was quite thrilled at the new version. There are a few updates. For one, the place where my old mop broke in two seems to have been reinforced deeper inside of the plastic mold in this version. The swivel head has so much more freedom of movement. and i think my favorite thing is that THIS HAS A SCRUBBY PAD ON THE FRONT. It's wonderful. I love the washable pads, they attach with velcro-like adhesion, and can go right into the washer with the towels. I also bought an extra microfiber dusting pad which works wonders on my hardwood floors. The bottle that comes with it is easy to use- just fill it with your preferred floor cleaner and water, screw the top back on, pop it in and go. I like that you don't really have to buy special cleaner or anything and the washable pads are so much better than disposable. When I got the new mop I did worry that the difference in bottle design would mean I couldn't use the old one as well, but i was pleasantly surprised. So now I can keep my wood floor polish in one and my pinesol in the other! I'm pretty tickled with it. Who knew someone could get so worked up and excited over a mop, right?

Great build, and wonderful results!
I have wood floors, and the builder told us to only use a product called GLITZA to maintain the finish. After a natural disaster required replacing the floor, the local flooring guy said he'd never recommend anything other than GLITZA. Well, I've tried every mop known to man in an effort to get one I liked for my hardwood *AND* vinyl floors. This mop ended all searches! I was amazed, after I dust mopped, then vacuumed my HW floors, I used this mop w/my GLITZA dilution in the bottle. The amount of "stuff" this mop picked up was amazing! We've had horrible air quality here in the NW due to smoke from forest fires. No AC, so that stuff gets in your house b/c you have the windows open in the summer heat. The dust mop, the vacuum - neither helped with that residue, but this mop sure picked it up! The pad doesn't slip off, it's easy to put on/take off, it washes like a dream! I even cleaned my walls this weekend (smoke residue from the air) and it worked like a champ! The quality of the mop build is wonderful! The seal between the bottle and the mop is fabulous - no drips/no leaks! It sprays a very fine mist, so there's really no chance of over-spraying your cleaning fluid unless you get trigger happy and spray spray spray spray - and even then, it's hard to create a drippy mess on the floor. I keep one of the two bottles w/wood floor cleaner, the other has a diluted mix of Mrs. Meyers organic all purpose cleaner. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with this product, it's easy to use, comfortable on the hands/back (and I'm 6' tall). It's a spendy mop, but worth every single penny!

Versatile and easy to use for wood floors
Well designed, appears sturdy enough and the "Velcro-like" fastening on the mop face is actually stronger than Velcro and a whole lot easier to use than the Swiffer "stuff it in four holes" system. Pleased so far. The product does not stress enough that it can be used for both dry and wet mopping using different pads (dry pads are less than 4$ Apiece and less than 3$ if you buy an 8-pack, and they can be laundered and reused), so this is a one-stop tool for hardwood floors. I am using Murphy's Oil soap in a separate spray bottle rather than the included clip on bottles since some reviewers have noted the trigger sprayer may degrade over time and I can make my own sprayer anytime.

Perfect mop!
I have about 1,500 square feet to mop. I also have two kids under 5, and a dog. So I do a lot of mopping. I love this mop for a few reasons: 1. The microfiber pad gets the floors really clean, sticks to the mop well, and is super easy to clean in the washing machine. 2. There is a scrubber on the head of the mop for tough spots that works great. 3. No batteries!!! 4. The sprayer is super easy to squeeze and sprays just the right amount onto the floor and covers a wide area in front of the mop. 5. Does not get the floors soaking wet so there’s hardly any “drying time”. 6. Light weight, easy to maneuver between and around things. 7. One bottole of cleaning solution (of your choice) has lasted me approximately 4,000 sq/ft!
