I feed the wild birds pretty much year round, even when natural foods like bugs and berries are plentiful. In spring these foods are readily available, but parent songbirds are feeding young then and can use supplements we put out for them. When songbird's usual foods are more scarce in fall and winter, they rely on the kindness of people who feed birds to offer them protein and the other nutrients in seed. I like Wagner's...I've tried many brands, and it's NOT full of "filler seed" like milo. I recommend it!

Our wild birds love this bird food and eat up every bit of it I put out every day. We live in an apartment and are not allowed to hang anything or attach anything to our balcony railings so I sprinkle a cup of the seed directly on deck. The birds seems to hear the seeds hit the floor and show up immediately for breakfast. They then sit on the railings to chirp and sing. I have to wipe down the railings frequently... but I love watching the birds right outside of my sliders so I don't care!

I am a naturalist and horticulturist and this has been approved by the wildlife in my yard. I try to maintain a native and polinator attesting garden. The bag is large and well priced. Don’t get fixed on brand names and the highly marketed, overpriced bird food brands out there. Birds don’t care about the brand, it’s the seeds in the mix that are to be noted.

WOW! This sees was a bargain. Too bad I can’t find that bargain again. I’ve never had seed attract so many colorful song birds. I also get blood red Cardinals, large blue birds, barn swallows, turtle doves, Robins, and many more. I bought shepherds hooks to hang the seed. But Amazon had a window feeder. Again WOW! My tinted windows give them a sense they alone but from inside we can watch these beautiful creatures of God in their up close Glory. It makes for great live Cat and some breeds of dogs a 24 hour entertainment viewing. It’s fun just watching your pets. Caution. Adhear the feeder far and high enough from chipmunks. They will try jumping up to the feeder too. That too is funny to watch.

Interesting, this is the same brand of seeds I was buying from the local store. I have these and the sunflower seeds setup on the "Subscribe and Save" plan that Amazon offers. I love that these are delivered to my step and I don't have to lug them home from the local store. And with a little tweaking of the quantity per month, I have more seeds when they run out.

My 5 baby quails (smaller than chicken egg sized babies) went crazy over this stuff. I've only had them a few days, but in the pet store and their first day home they huddled very still and did not move much and would only peck at food sparsely (they ate like birds- haha). The next afternoon I switched the feed to this. I put some (much more than they seemed to eat in a day) in shallow dishes and scattered two or three handfuls across their cage. They have not stopped chirping, and running back and forth and hopping all over pecking up little seeds. To my surprise, in just a few hours both dishes were bare empty. They already look fatter and more energetic. Great buy! Oh, my bunny and guinea pigs love bird seed, too!

Birds in Southern Maryland love this mix. We are going through over 60 pounds a month in 3 feeders. We’ve had no problems with packaging or quality. We now subscribe to this, so it is automatically shipped each month. Great variety of birds.

I started feeding the birds at my house last summer. Apparently, they told two friends and they told two friends and so on and so on....now my bird feeders look like a bird airport! I've got all sorts of birds hanging out now; and this feed does just fine. With the amount of food they are going through, price is a concern; and this was a decent value. I buy several bags a month. If I recall correctly, they are Subscribe & Save too, which is a plus. I may be spending more on feeding the birds than I originally planned; but they've gotten me hooked; so I'll keep on ordering this food.

I like having birds in my front yard, feasting on seeds to survive our cold winter nights. I place my feeders high up so stray cats can't get to them, and fill the feeders with this brand. Nothing gets wasted, and all kinds of local birds, from sparrows and finches to thrashers, cardinals and wrens stop by to feed. This bag is mostly milo and millet with some sunflowers, and I supplement the variety with bags of oily black sunflowers and mix them in this. The bag is not resealable, though, so everything gets dumped into a larger tin can for easy storage.

Fantastic product! All of the seed gets eaten!! This has brought so many different birds to our yard! We have a family of doves, tons of sparrows, robins, mockingbirds, woodpeckers, and a bunch I can’t identify. I’m just very pleased that all of the seeds get eaten. I’ve bought different birdseed in the past and ended up sweeping up lots of seeds that got passed over by the birds. Not the case with Wagner’s!
