I live in Tucson Arizona and my birds LOVE this! I have sparrows, quails, doves, woodpeckers and curved-bill thrashers, and they all go for this like crazy! I love sitting at the desk and watching the birds come and go all day long! I"ve been feeding this Wagner's Southwestern blend for about 8 months now. There's never any waste, they eat it all up!

We are working on bag #6 now and the birds really love this birdseed. We used to get all magpies and big blackbirds and now we get so many new and different birds, many very little pretty ones too. We enjoy watching the birds now. We also get a few squirrels and rabbits, but mostly birds. It's nice to get birds for your region and we have Southwest Regional Blend. GREAT product!

This has worked out very well for me. There's a variety of seeds that are highly appealing to a range of birds. Even though I don't live in the Southwest, birds don't seem to have any problems eating a "Southwest" blend. Unfortunately, the squirrels also find it appealing, but that's the case with pretty much any seed mix. The cost is very reasonable. It is more expensive than the bargain brands, but those are mostly filler seed that not even the squirrels will go for. This has a good mix of quality seeds that appear to be fresh (no insects or mold present in multiple bags that I've used). While the 20 pound bag costs a bit more per pound that the 40 pounders, the smaller bags are much easier to deal with. All in all, a good performing seed mix. No complaints.

It is hard to say that I love this bird seed blend but I can say that the birds love it. Live in the country and have a large array of birds coming and going in and out of my yard. Purchased this as it is mixed for the southwest bird population. Have a variety of feeders and all are used with this seed. Some birds are permanent residents and some are migrating through the area. Am happy with the results as there are no leftovers - any falling on the ground are also scooped up. Love to watch the birds and their antics. Will purchase again.

I got really tired of cheap bird seed that was a high percentage of millet(??) when the birds in our area won't eat millet. It would end up being wasted and proved to really not be a savings at all. This bird seed is perfect for the wild birds in the north Texas area. There is plenty of sunflower seeds and corn for the larger birds but lots of smaller seeds for the smaller birds. I am very popular with cardinals, doves, sparrows, finches and many other birds in the area. (I'm not too good on bird recognition but I love watching and feeding them.) This is a little more expensive than some of the cheaper seed at the discount stores but it is really worth it!

Have been using another brand for almost year, switched to Wagner's about a month ago and I can't believe how many more birds are visiting my backyard. I now have to refill my feeder every three days compared to a week to ten days. I live in South San Diego County. I highly recommend this seed if you live in my area.

My birds in the greater Tucson area enjoy this seed. They eat the entire contents and it saves me money on sunflower seeds. I am happy with the price and the results.

I've got doves, woodpeckers, cardinals, sparrows, quail and some other birds I don't know the names for, and they all love this brand. I use those metal mesh balls and hang where I can see them... the smaller birds who can cling get seeds and then some fall to the ground and the bigger birds (i.e. mourning doves, quail) peck on the ground. I watch them while I ride my stationary bike which makes it more entertaining. I must add, the good people at Amazon have gone the extra mile for me. I was out of seed and asked if they could expedite my order and low and behold I got this the next day (today) since my car is broken.

These birdseeds brings all the birds to the yard, and they're like, it's better than yours, darn right it's better than yours.............. Ok, on a serious note, these birdseeds do in fact bring all the birds to the yard and it's a chirping soap opera! I was listening through the window yesterday and 2 sparrows were having a heated argument. Apparently they're mates and have been on the outs since last spring's hatchlings turned out to look more like the neighbor's rooster than their sparrow dad. I know! I can't even picture it either! So their argument escalated quickly and the next thing i know, the female sparrow had a toothpick in her beak and was trying to attack her mate. I was like Whoa! Where in the world did she get that toothpick?! So anyway, I needed to act quickly so I started to run outside but ran straight into the patio door. BOOM!. Apparently I cleaned it so good, I couldn't even tell it was closed! I bounced off the door and onto the kitchen floor. The sound was so loud that it startled the birds and they flew away.
