My cat loves laying in her lush green Todd's Seeds bed of Cat Grass!

Great seeds. Speedy delivery!
Great seeds! I didn't really follow any instructions. Just get some dirt, fill a shallow dish (i find plant saucers perfect) And spread a thin layer on top. I water them with a spray bottle and cover with plastic wrap loosely and put under growlight- sunny window would work but not much sun in michigan. They sprout in a few days and you have a bunch of grass in 2 weeks. I've made two good sized bunches and working on third but only 1/4 of bag used!

Love it
This is my second time purchasing these seeds. They take around 5 days to start popping up, and they last around 4 weeks. The first time I used the whole bag and my cat could hardly eat even 10% of it, there was just too much. The second time, I used 2 tablespoons and a smaller pot and I plant a new pot every 3 to 4 weeks so the cat always has a fresh supply to nibble on. In the picture, the blue pot is the fresh grass - around 7 or 8 days old. And in the red pot, it's on it's way out - around 3 weeks.

Simple and easy to grow!
This was simple and easy... after I went to Todd's website and read the instructions. The photos are from my second attempt, which was much more successful than my first try. The grass sprouted much faster and is more lush than my first attempt. I planted the seeds on a Saturday and these photos were taken early AM on Wednesday! First, just rinse the seeds. You do not need to soak them, which is what I did in my first try. Second, use a lot of seeds if you want a lush pot of grass. I laid down a good layer of seeds so that they covered all the soil. Third, I covered the seeds with a thin layer of soil and then covered everything with a wet paper towel. And lastly, I placed the pot near a window, but not in direct sunlight and watered generously twice a day. I'm very happy with this wheat/cat grass and so is my "big boy"!

I bought her catnip - hated it. I grew 2 batches worth of organic ...
She LOVES it! I bought her catnip - hated it. I grew 2 batches worth of organic catnip - hated it even more! I decided to try wheat grass next. I'd heard good things and thought it wouldn't hurt to try. So glad I did because this might be the one and only thing she actually enjoys! Haha I followed the directions: washed and soaked the seeds for about 48 hours and then placed them in a pot with MiracleGro's Nature's Cure (Organic Potting Mix), which is 100% pet friendly soil. The seeds started to sprout only a day or two after plotting them and by day 4-5 I had a pot full of fully grown wheat grass!

Wow! Great seeds! My hamsters love it!
This is my first time buying and growing wheatgrass and this has been such a positive experience! After a lot of research, I decided to buy the one pound bag and grow about half of it in a tub for my five hamsters to enjoy. Well they are going crazy for this stuff so much so that I broke off little chunks and planted them in their cages. I was able to get the grass to grow in their bedding so I wouldn't have to worry about them eating soil or being hurt by something in the soil. I did soak them for about 24 hours beforehand because I wanted to make sure it would take. Then I got a plastic storage container and soaked some of their bedding (Kaytee Clean and Cozy) in water and made about a 1" thick layer on the bottom of the container. I sprayed water on the top so it was extra wet and then I planted the seeds as directed. They are doing great as you can see from the pictures and my hamsters are having a hay day with it. They like to eat the grass and dig up the roots so I can confidently say none of it is going to waste. I have a small bowl that I'm using to grow smaller portions for their cages and then the main container for them to walk on and hang out in. The other half of the seeds are hanging out in the bag until I need more. I'll probably just plant a small bowl of them next time so I grow only what I need. Overall, I am entirely satisfied with the seeds and will definitely buy again from this seller. I was thrilled with the customer service and very clear instructions provided online. I wish I could give these a million stars. Thank you Todd's Seeds!

Grows quickly
I do NOT have a green thumb, nor should I be generally trusted to care for a plant, but I bought these seeds for my cat, and gamely tried my hand at growing cat grass. The good news is: these seeds are literally foolproof, because they grew right away, with no effort from me. All I did was stick a single layer of seeds (less than a tablespoon) in a 4" pot filled with damp coconut fiber soil---then I loosely covered it with a 1/4 inch of additional fiber, and let it sit for a few days. I can see the tiny tendrils (creepily) snaking upwards out of the soil now. (I'm not a plant person, and frankly I do think plants are kind of creepy, so....) What was nice about this brand was that it puts your mind at ease right away. When you go to their website, there's an easy-to-read explanation from the owner that *specifically* says they've never once soaked the seeds before growing. That's a relief, since the soaking process is labor-intensive (soak 8 hours, drain, soak 8 hours, drain, soak 8 hours, drain.) Just for kicks, I tried the soaking method with a second round of seeds, and there isn't a ton of difference. The soaking makes the seeds start to germinate with these little tiny white tails (still creepy) and then you plant the sprouted seeds like normal. It's supposed to shave a day or two off the growing time, but I found that it works out to be the same, because what you gain in growing speed, you lost in the drawn out soaking process. So advice is just to go directly from seed to pot, skip the soaking. I like that they aren't packaged fancily--they're just in a no-nonsense plastic bag, which I transferred to a big tub for easier storage. A 1lb bag is probably a year's supply for my cat, but I'll happily repurchase this brand when we're done with this batch.

Todd's Wheatgrass Grew Fast and Thick
I used a review I found on the site with a few modifications. I filled a planter with planting soil about three inches from the rim. I sprinkled liberally with the seeds and added another inch and a half of dirt. I placed wetened paper towels over the top of the planter and placed in the cabinet under the sink of my guest bath. The next two (or three) days I re-wetened the paper towels and replaced. On the third or fourth day I was surprised to see that not only had the seeds sprouted but the grass was already a couple of inches high. The grass was 'yellow-ish' due to not having had sunlight. I watered and placed indoors in indirect sunlight. In a few hours the grass had already turned green! Now the planter is out on the screen-in lanai (I live in FL) where my cat enjoys nibbling on the grass whenever she is outside. Todd's seeds grew much faster (and thicker) than expected!

Excellent grass for kitties!!
My Ragdoll Loki loves this grass! I had been using the Cat-It Design Senses Grass Garden Kit but honestly she wasn't too interested in it, though she did nibble at it, plus the grass pushed the green "grate" up and that annoyed me to no end (especially for the price you pay for the seeds and the planter). I'm not much of a green thumb (I have been known to kill cactus), but thought I would take an old planter I had lying around and try my luck with these wheatgrass seeds. Wow! They grew so fast! The pictures I posted were taken six days after I first planted the seeds. I left the planter outside, watered the soil and seeds every day and thankfully the weather has cooperated as it has been gorgeous with lots of sun (as it almost always is in southern Arizona). I brought the planter inside this morning and let Loki sniff at it and she just devoured the grass! I am already planning on buying smaller planters as this one is way too big and I'm sure she won't finish it all, though I hardly used any seeds with this batch and still have a ton left. I have heard other people say say they have lots of tiny planters all over the place and I really like that idea instead of just one big planter. So I'm already looking forward to the next batch(es)!!

Easy to grow, good price
I'm a total brown thumb, but found this to be easy to grow: soak about 1/4 cup of seeds in coffee mug full of water in the morning, change water when I get home from work, then change again the next morning, then scatter the seeds over potting soil, and put a damp paper towel over them. Whenever the he paper towel starts to dry out, water it with a mug of water, then remove it after a couple of days once the seeds start sprouting. Gently water the seeds with half a mug of water twice a day. After about a week, the grass is several inches tall, and very lush. My finicky Shiba Inu finds it to be acceptable. You get a lot of seeds for the price.
