Absolutely love it. It's good quality. I actually bought it so I could paint and draw while watching TV and it works great for that. My cat likes that there is a spot for him to lay. 😂

I think improvements have been made since the first reviews were posted. The quality is fantastic and the inner drawer dimensions are larger. My brand new mess o' #2 pencils fits perfectly in addition to a bunch of my various pens and notepad and eyeglass wipes Excellent! Great price for a well-made quality product. Frankly, I was hesitant to see what I got after reading some of the reviews here, but this is fabulous. This thing is tight - no wiggles, no looseness, all hardware is straight, true and tight, no loose joints, no sharp edges. 1) The finish is flawless - no scratches, dings or flaws in the wood surface anywhere (and I checked this thing over like a dermatologist looking for skin cancer) 2) I'm a fat gal (225 lbs) and this clears my charmingingly chubby thighs while on the bed with zero problem, even room to move my knees up and down for circulation. I can even cross my ankles without disturbing this table. Yes, I have really fat thighs and 3) The drawer inner dimensions are 5.3125" front to back x 7.4375 side to side x 1 inch deep 4) There is an adjustable angle part of the tabletop of 4 angles in addition to flat 5) The flip-up side has a nice wood bar to stop your book/tablet/laptop from sliding off into your lap when the surface is inclined 6) The immobile portion of the tabletop measures 7.5 x 13.25 front to back 7) Every single piece of the wood is stained! Yes, even the underside! The only thing close to a downside is that this is so purty and well made that I can't bear to paint and decoupage it, lol! *sarcasm* BOTTOM LINE: This Lap Desk is FABULOUS!

I had extremely low expectations given the price at $18 but I'm very happy with my purchase

The desk came in fully assembled and ready to rock straight out of the box. I had extremely low expectations given the price at $18 but I'm very happy with my purchase. It's sturdy and the dark walnut finish is simple but looks lovely. The lap desk works well and I didn't see any scratches or surface flaws on the product. The drawer slides pretty easily open and close so be wary if you use it store loose items and try to move it around on its side as the drawer will slide open but I'm not using it for permanent storage. My desk's primary function is as my personal lap writing desk for journal writing and crafting in bed. At its current price it serves its purpose very well. I'm a relatively average sized 5'3'' woman so it fits well over my lap but if you are larger or have considerably thicker thighs you may wish to consider one with extendable legs to fit over your lap.

Great laptop desk!

Truthfully, I was almost afraid to open the box to see what was inside, after reading some of the reviews. But to my utter amazement and pleasure, what I found was the exact thing that I have been looking for. No loose screws, scratches or marks. Sets flat on a surface with the legs extended and does not wobble. Beautiful wood! The color is awesome. It also sits perfectly on my lap or on the seat of my chair with the legs extended. Maybe some of these reviews are from people who would like you to buy it from another seller. But I love it. So far so good! If that changes in the future, I will do an edit to let you know. But for now, I'm just enjoying it to work on my diamond art projects. Thank you for the wonderful lap desk and thank you Prime for the quick shipping!

Nursing Student - Best Amazon purchase yet -100 stars

I love this! The style and color of the finish are great, matches my living room, so it's not an eyesore if I simply fold it and stash between the couch and end table. As a nursing student, I study around the clock. I'd propped items on makeshift supports in my lap for the last two years - effective except the pens, highlighters and correction tape were constantly falling off the end table or my laptop as I took notes. I finally decided to look at lap desks, which I'd not considered due to space and style and just not wanting more STUFF when I have a desk. When I looked into them, I was shocked at the pricing and discouraged by the appearances until I saw this item. It's not overly large, but it can hold my large laptop as well as a notebook or iPad on the side... and has a little drawer on the side to store pens... I love using this to hold a laptop or iPad with the on the AND very convenient SMALL SIDE DRAWER. The legs do not adjust in height but I don't mind that at all. I'm not a tiny person, I have plenty of room for my legs. Also useful to safely prop up laptop/iPad to watch videos, lectures, movies, presentations allowing me the freedom to move around my house while I continue to review or learn -- while I'm folding laundry for example. Another use? TV TABLE. Super convenient, exceptionally useful, great value, nice looking, sturdy - this is one of the top ten Items I suggest for a college student of any age.

Better quality than expected - love this laptop stand!

After reading some of the reviews where people mentioned low quality, I was pleasantly surprised at the solidness and sturdiness of this tray. It came in perfect condition and works like a charm. There is plenty of legroom. I have back and neck issues so I wanted something to get the laptop at eye level. I wasn't sure the tilted panel would be comfortable, but since the hinges on my laptop screen have a wide range, it actually works perfectly. No more "tech neck"! The drawer doesn't stay shut, so you have to be careful when carrying the tray. Sometimes the pressure of my leg underneath the tray pushed it out. I think that's because the legs of the tray slip down past the edges of the cushion on my couch so my legs hit the bottom of the tray. Other than that minor detail, I love it! In fact, I just ordered a second one for my son because he threatened to steal mine!

Exactly as described, Beautiful Finish and Quality

Item shipped right on time and was shipped in manufacturer's packaging inside Amazon box. Was packed well so no damage was received. It looks exactly like the image, in fact, the qualify and finish exceeds the expectations I had. It has enough weight to it to feel sturdy and like it is made of quality materials, yet light enough to make it easy to transport from room to room or change positions with while using. The only disappointment I had personally was that I would prefer it to be a little taller, slightly because I would prefer more leg room (my thighs are larger than average), but mostly because i end up having to hunch over to see the screen on the laptop. The top does lift for incline but my laptops broken hinge makes this not a solution. Overall, more than happy with purchase and would buy from this seller or manufacturer again. For the price, compared to similar or even lesser products, this was the best deal online.

I didn't read the reviews prior to purchasing this lap desk and was pretty nervous about it after I went back a couple of hours later to read them. Let's be honest...the reviews are pretty bad and honestly...i was expecting the worst and was anticipating a big hassle about returning it. It arrived on time and when I handled the box I was already worried, it rattled...was it supposed to rattle?? Was it already broken?? Were the reviews true?? So I carefully peeled apart the packaging, peeking at the lap desk like a dad would look at a dirty diaper and I was pleasantly surprised! The thing that was rattling was the drawer so nothing to worry about there! It was in perfect condition! No scratches! Do dings! No inperfections whatsoever ! So I'm actually happy I didn't read the reviews prior to purchasing this awesome lap desk! I'm physically disabled so I can't sit at a desk (or in my case craft table) for very long before I start to really hurt, so I like that I can have my desk come with me to my bed so I can rest. Pros. Everything! It has several heights you can change the angle of the desk thing to and it has a drawer! Cons. I wish the drawer had a latch or something so it wouldn't pop open whenever it gets tilted to the right. But other than that it's perfect !

Great for working at home

Like many people, I am now working at home in a small space. Only place to work in quiet is my bedroom on the bed. This is perfect for that. This desk works great with both 13” and 15” laptops. It’s also a good height for zoom meetings - easy to create a hands free and flattering angle. The table is low but my legs fit. Someone larger may have an issue. As others noted, the drawer is so small it is useless but it stays shut fine for me. It is more awkward to open though. I didnt notice any “chemical smell” when mine arrived and it was assembled and easy to fold open and closed. It’s also reasonably stable. All in all it fits my needs and is pretty low cost.

Useful table to work on bed

I bought this almost a year ago to help with my work. I have a study room and a study table but sometimes it gets really boring to work in the study room all the time. So I sometimes end up working in my bedroom on the bed. Now I work a lot on computers and, balancing it on the lap was getting tedious. Enter this table. This really is a good buy. Its sturdy, pretty roomy for legs, it has a flexible top so you can use it any way you like. You can also put it on your existing study table to make a standing table. Plus it’s easy to fold away and keep and does not take up much room. The only complain is the drawer at the side. It’s kind of flimsy and really does not serves its purpose as it keeps opening. But otherwise, it’s a really good buy.
