Just what I wanted!

I was so nervous initially when I ordered this bookcase. While researching, I noticed allot of people have had issues with damaged packages when buying large items. Needless to say when it was delivered, we nervously prepared for the worst but luckily everything was fine. We basically worried for nothing. The shelf looks EXACTLY as pictured and appears high quality despite the really low price. PROS: -easy to put together (took my BF about 30 min by himself in-between doing other things) -comes with all the screws you need (This item DOES NOT come with that mini screw tool some furniture items often throw in. Make sure you have tools) -looks very pretty yet not too feminine (It's located in a neutral guest room) -classy but modern shelf for most decor needs -lots of shelf space (5 levels) -lots of room to displaying items of varying heights -sturdy and well made CONS: - I wish this came with the wood color sticky tabs. I don't know if I'm describing it correctly but if you look at the photos, you can see where the screws are on the sides. My BF said we have to get some from home depot and cover the screw spots so it looks a bit "cleaner" in terms of aesthetics.

Beatiful Unit and Great Quality for a Great Price

This shelf arrived packaged very well and I saw no visible defects or scratches, so right off the bat I was happy. The unit is a beautiful espresso color and the material is good quality, it looks more expensive then it was. My mother and I put it together in about 20 minutes and it is relatively easy. Had she not been there to help it would've taken a bit longer because the boards probably would've been hard to align to the sides of the unit without someone else holding it for me while I screwed them in with the Allen wrench. I do want to note that the shelves themselves do have a side that to me was obviously the bottom because it is not as smooth as the top side. The directions don't note that and I only noticed as I had attached the first shelf and was running my hand across it. That was the only issue we ran into, but very glad we noticed it right off the bat!

and I'm really happy about the space provided

Got this and put it together by myself yesterday, it's really lovely! A few things though: 1) The top and bottom halves sit well, but it's clear where the separation is. 2) There are no 'cover' plugs for the screws on the outside. Not a big deal, but noticeable depending on where this is placed in the home. 3) One of the screws used in the joiner plates for the two halves broke off during installation. Luckily I keep some extra IKEA screws on hand, so I had to drill a small hole (as half the old screw had broken off and stuck inside) and install it that way. It means one of the metal plates is slightly skewed, but the main thing is that it holds the two halves together on that side. 4) this shelf holds a lot, and I'm really happy about the space provided. It looks great in my living room and has helped me tidy up the space!

PLEASE READ, PROPERTY STAGER!!!

My job is to set up Airbnb‘s and stage properties for sale. I use this product for every job. For the price, it is literally the best product on Amazon, Walmart, Target or any other inexpensive big box store. I’ve never used the wall attachment and this item has never fallen over. I’ve used it to display glassware, books, DVDs and everything in between. If you have a three-year-old who’s going to grab onto the side of it and shake it, yes it will rock back-and-forth, it’s $59. If you’re going to use it in your living room as extra storage please use common sense and put the heaviest items on the bottom two shelves. That stops it from rocking. I don’t normally write reviews but I’m just so grateful to have something simple, nice looking and inexpensive that is so easy to purchase/assemble. I also feel compelled to include, every single review that complained about the holes not lining up etc., this is a user error, the first time I tried to put it together, I had a few pieces backwards and pegs didn’t fit or appeared to be in the wrong place, as well as holes. This is just people not reading the instructions carefully. As for the color issue, I’ve only ever purchased in white so I can’t be certain but I will continue to buy this shelf as long as it’s available.

Love it!

Love it. Wrote a previous negative review thinking the screws didn’t fit well but I bought a second shelf to match the first and I am embarrassed to say, the issue with the first was user error :/ With that said, I had to update my review to let everyone know I love these shelves! Sturdy and stylish. Definitely recommend them!

This shelf was way better than expected

This shelf was way better than expected! The wood is beautiful quality and color! It took about 15 minutes to put together with no issues at all! I had originally purchased one similar from Pier One for $250, I didn't realize I would need two and did not want to pay $250 for another so I have been on the hunt for an identical one ever since! The one on the right is the Pier One shelf and the one on the left is the Amazon one! And they look basically identical! Very happy!

Bookshelf as expected.

Item came in great condition. Assembled my self in 20 mins. Dark color is fine. Only issue was that the shelf is in 2 segments, top and bottom and is a little flimsy when moving to room. It is also a nice tall shelf! Ordering a second one for another room!

Perfect for my planters!

Beautiful and sturdy! I'm using this for growing herbs in the window, and it really works well with the tiers of different lengths -- a little bit more sunlight for each level. My 23.5" planters squeeze in perfectly. The shelves can definitely support a good amount of weight, which I was concerned about before buying. Would absolutely buy again, and I just might!

What a deal!

I love this book shelf. It was everything I wanted (one small nitpick, more on that later), and cost far less than anything else I could find locally. It came super duper fast, was easy to assemble with everything you need to do so (allen wrench, screws and wall mounts), and looks great where I have it in use. It holds a lot and is very stylish. The small nitpick is I wish the bolts you can see from the sides of the unit were either in a darker color (like black for instance), or there were small stickers to place over them so the different tone weren't so obnoxiously noticeable. I'm very pleased with my purchase though and wouldn't hesitate to order another one.

The perfect shelf for my plants!

Pros: The color is as pictured. It is tall, with plenty of space on each shelf. It feels sturdier than most shelving units on the market. It is lightweight, easy to move around after assembly. (Once my plants were on it, that was a whole different story). Doesn't take up a lot of floor space, a good fit for my small apartment. Sleak design looks really classy. I get compliments on it when people come over. The bottom shelf is elevated enough that you can easily get a vacuum or robot vacuum under it to clean. Cons: I personally had to assemble it with another person helping. It was easier with two people, would have probably taken longer by myself. You can see the screws on the side (you might be able to paint them?). I personally like the color contrast and vibe it gives it, but some people might not. The two halves during assemble weren't properly prepped to go seamlessly together (see last photo). The plate used to secure the two together is crooked, something I could not fix. I personally can overlook the cons because in the end I really love this shelf.
