I have wanted one of these Christmas Pyramids ever since I had seen one on vacation to Germany many years ago. I had looked at "authentic" German made pyramids at the Christkindlmarket in Chicago for a couple years and could not believe how much they cost; least expensive going for about $200, and very small. Figuring I could find an adequate product online, I began to research. I was shocked at how costly they on Amazon and other websites. When I came across this pyramid I figured I would be wasting my money and would receive an inferior product. But to my surprise, it was perfect! It was everything I had wanted, and more. The pyramid is manufactured in Germany. The directions were pretty self explanatory. Someone with any mechanical tendency should be able to assemble this product. The only thing that made me think was the disc that sets on the bottom which allows the rod in the center to spin effortlessly. This pyramid will hopefully be a family tradition for years to come. And if for some reason it were to break, it will not be too costly to replace it. By the way... make sure you get the candle for a pyramid. Not sure you can buy them at your local store.

perfect. lovely - just as we expected. Smaller than one we gifted a few years ago to granddaughter's family (their favorite Christmas memory from past) - but perfect for us (retiree's with nostalgic memories of those same holidays). Affordable Christmas elegance that works as advertised.

Nostalgic Gift Nirvana

This was a perfect gift for my mother, who had one of these when she was younger. Over the years it fell apart, and she could never find a new one. This thing arrived in great condition, works well, and is great. The only issue we have is that the candles for this are nearly impossible to find....

Being from German descent, I had to have one of these for Christmas. I haven't used it yet as I bought it after Christmas in 2017 but I can't wait!

Nice gift

What a gift! Easy to assemble and very decorative. The paddles stay put, that was my worry so problem with that. Candles are very expensive and burn in less than 40 minutes down. I am sure I will find some local ones some time in future.

Wonderful to give as gifts- and to keep!

I ordered two of these and have been painting them (with acrylics) to give as gifts. Because they come 90% assembled for you (and yes, there are a few glue blobs here and there that I can't chisel off) it's difficult to paint the figurines or inside moving parts of the pyramid. However, that isn't necessary as they do come painted and it's been incredibly easy to paint over the plain wood of the rest of the pyramid. I've fully assembled these and lit the candles and they work beautifully and look great. Every one who's seen the final products has been very impressed. I give these my highest recommendations as gifts to give- to others or yourself.

Brought back childhood memories for Grandma

Well designed product other than slightly loose candle holders. Not in danger of falling, but insecure enough that I wiggle the candles in a little more firmly when on a flat surface. Overall fragile, yet beautiful. I’m so glad we bought this!
