Great for my unusual use

I bought this for a totally different reason that what it is for, and it's working great. I have a yorkie dog and they have hair that grows in their ear, and if you don't get it out, it can cause an ear infection. Most people pluck them out, but it is painful. What I am doing is snipping with scissors as close as possible, and then I use this nose hair trimmer to pull it up after, and it's working great and no pain for my dog.

...of your nose. First time user, long time picker... so I was worried about this thing pulling hairs. It does if you keep the cruddy Chinese battery that comes with it. Replace it immediately, then it spun much faster and works like a charm, No pulling, only clean cutting. No more feeling the tickle of hairs in the nostrils when I breathe. No more snipping or pulling the hairs by hand...Yes it hurt. No more hairs for your boogers to cling to. This thing is amazing. Best 11 bucks you could spend on your nose. Takes like 10 seconds to do both nostrils. You can hear it cutting them and it’s so smooth afterward. There are more hairs in there than you think even if you don't have a lot hanging out of your blowhole. I don't have hairy ears though I'd imagine this would work just as well in your ears. Highly recommend this Panasonic ER GN30K. JUST REPLACE THE AA BATTERY WITH A BRAND NEW NAME BRAND ALKALINE AA RIGHT AWAY. TRUST ME IT WILL RUN SO MUCH BETTER AND WON’T CATCH ON YOUR HAIRS.

Couldn't be happier. I know my nose feels the same way.

I put off buying one of these for years. However after getting tired of pulling a hair every other day, I decided to give this a try. After 6 months of use, I can say that this device has already paid for itself in terms of how much of a difference it makes in my ability to breathe. I didn't realize how much hair was tucked away in my nose until I used this thing for the first time. I actually felt a difference in how much air was making it through my nose after my first use. Just like with shaving this has become a part of my weekly grooming ritual. My nose couldn't be happier that I don't have to pluck my nose hairs anymore. On average, I use them for approximately 3-5 minutes during a session. The tip does get warm, but not to the point where I feel like I'm going to burn myself. If you suffer with overgrowing nose hair, you owe it to yourself to try this product. Your nose will thank you for it.

Amazing Deal

I bought this trimmer after my barber started asking me if I wanted my ear hair trimmed. He wasn't joking around, he was actually offering it as a service. I hadn't noticed my ear hair because it was light in color, but more recently it's been growing more and more. I always used scissors, which is foolish and a waste of time. I was doing it all wrong. For everyone else who is doing it all wrong, STOP. Go out and buy this trimmer. Someone else has made this product so that you no longer have to stick scissors up your nose and into your years. Throw your scissors away, and buy this trimmer. It costs the same as two bottles of hipster microbrew. For the price, I wasn't expecting much. I was actually surprised to see a brand name trimmer being sold at this price so I jumped on it. The trimmer itself is nothing fancy, but I was quite impressed by the build quality and how everything snapped together nicely. The battery compartment has a nice tight seal with a rubber o-ring to prevent water from getting inside. You don't have to worry about a splash of water causing the trimmer to rust or otherwise malfunction. As for the functionality; it does what it says, at a brilliant price, with respectable efficiency. My only worry was that a trimmer would yank/pull hairs out of my nose, but I am glad to say that there is no pulling, and there is no yanking of hairs. The hairs are cut without the slightest hint of pulling. You basically feel nothing. You only know it is working because you can hair the offending hairs being sliced with the utmost efficiency. Now that I have this thing, I'd like to use it on other people. Hard to avoid the temptation. I see people on the subway and bus, and I want to stick this trimmer into their ears. You will too.

Works flawlessly!

I'm not one to review or write much about a product, especially a nose/ear hair trimmer... but, I've gone through a few of these over the years, and well, as I age, this device becomes a more central part of my grooming. This one is the best one I've owned yet - quiet, easy to clean, and most importantly, it does the trick!

Exactly what I needed to get rid of tickling nose hairs so I can use my CPAP mask.

Easy to use and works very well. The barrel that houses the blade does get warm after extended use, but not hot and doesn't effect performance. I was able to use this on my eyebrows, upper lip, and then both nostrils one after the other with no issue and no tugging or pain. Very easy to get all the hairs in my nose at whatever angle thanks to the top and side blades. I use a CPAP mask at night and nose hairs tickle because of the pressurized air, making my nose itch constantly and makes it difficult to wear the mask. This will help immensely and provide some much needed relief.

GOOD VALUE, GOOD PERFORMANCE

I've been using this trimmer for over a year now, and it still works perfectly. It's easy to use, easy to clean (comes with a very handy little cleaning brush), and the single battery lasts through many hairs. > Through all my years of schools, colleges, and military training, I don't recall ever being told about the coming explosion of hair growth in one's nose and ears when you survive to be 70+. Is this our reward for avoiding bullets and drunk drivers? Good grief!

a must have for every man

I am not a person that cares much about physical appearance, but I have to admit that sometimes things go out of control and growing facial hair makes me feel I am turning into a ware wolf. Therefore I have used items like this in the past. Amongst the 3-4 similar devices I have gone through, this is the absolute best. Here is why: 1- A strong brand name (Panasonic) with a high reputation of quality items. 2- Very affordable: At the time I bought it I paid $12.5 (with free prime shipping)and this is even less than many cheap plastic toys. To me it is a real good deal 3-Very simple but effective design: All you need is an AA battery , no cords, no adapters are needed... 4-Does the job well. I use it to trim my ear and nose hair and it does it perfect in less than a minute with no pain. 5- Very easy to clean. It is an electrical device but those compartments are well sealed inside. All you need is to switch it to wet mode (shown with a water tap sign) and put it under the water. It gets rid of all trimmed hair instantly. 6- It is a good quality item that has worked great after 18 months of weekly use. Normally, I like mentioning about the negative aspects of the items I review as well. However I can not find a good one in this case. May be one thing to mention is that it comes without protective casing or bags which I can not complain for the price. Besides, it can stand upright so can be put in a bathroom cabinet easily so it is not a big deal at all. Final words go to the price fluctuations on amazon website... I have seen its price skyrocketed to $23+shipping since I bought it. At the time of writing the review it is only available from third party vendors and that is probably the reason behind this unfair price increase. I think it will eventually fall down to the original price of $12-13 whenever it becomes available directly through amazon. so I suggest keeping an eye on the price before ordering it.

Great dedicated trimmer with AA battery design

I debated long and hard about whether to replace my old broken multi-trim tool with another multi-trim or with a dedicated trimmer like this. In fact debated waaay toooo long for <$20 purchase. Any this is a good call. A bargain, it works very well with both the schnozz and ears and is even okay trimming over the ears to postpone the barber for another week. Not quite good enough to feel good about the same on the back of the neck. An underrated feature: I really like that it uses a regular AA battery (rechargeable in my case). It means I haven't had to add yet another charger to my arsenal and bathroom cabinet, worry about it getting lost or broken, and I won't have to worry about special disposal when it dies.

should have bought this thing 5 years ago.

works like a charm. as long as this thing lasts several years it will maintain a 5 star review. sorry men, at some point in time you have to start trimming those nose hairs. I used scissors for several years... which works ok, other than it's time consuming and on occasion the scissors might pull a hair, and then your eyes start to water OUCH! well this thing solves all of that.... very quick... no accidental pulling of the hairs. pop the cap, flip the switch, run the tip around the edge of the nose, clip clip clip, turn it off. pop the head off, flush it backwards with some tap water, flip the wash switch on the unit to wash. flush it with tap water. then i leave mine apart to let it dry, reassemble the next time im in the bathroom. i have bragged about this thing to friends.. i'll likely sell a few by word of mouth.
