Love it!
I am a Nurse of 40 yrs and find this little Omron to be extremely accurate and dependable. I bought this device from Amazon for a steal as it list in Walgreens and CVS fir 53 and 54 dollars. You have to remember that each wrist device from different companies are different. Some devices have you rest the arm on a table and some wrist devices tell you to bend arm at elbow across your heart like you are pledging allegiance to the flag, the latter is what you must do with this model Omron as instructed. It you don't your reading will be extremely OFF. Blood pressures can fluctuate 10 points on both top and bottom readings when taking more than one reading. Also you should rest 5 minutes before reading or at least switch arms. There is always a fluctuation in your results from one wrist to the next. The right wrist is usually higher than the left. If you use this device frequently you know that when you switch to the Right Wrist to turn the cuff around. The top of the shortest part of the device should be over the highest part of the wrist bone on the Radial Artery Thumb side facing the inside of the wrist. I got mine on Amazon so cheaply for an Omron made me wonder if it was refurbished but regardless it works Great! My only caution is if you have extremely fat wrist this cuff may not work for you.

Works great
Was really worried about buying this when I read through the reviews. There are a lot of complaints of inaccurate readings, but I bit the bullet and tried anyway. I needn't have worried though, it's exceptionally accurate, especially for a wrist model. It does take a bit of getting used to, getting the arm and hand positioning right, but once you do it's simple to use. I've found that you don't have to necessarily sit at a table to do it. It works equally well when I sit in a recliner with my feet on the floor and arm in the proper position on the arm of the chair. It really depends on chairs you have access to, as the important thing is making sure the machine is at heart level.

Great blood pressure cuff
I am a home health nurse and wanted an automated blood pressure cuff to throw in my nursing bag. The blood pressure cuff came in original packaging with instructions and batteries. The cuff is quiet and easy to use even for the beginner. It has easy to follow instructions and also a memory bank to help keep records of your readings. I have read reviews that state automated cuffs aren't always accurate but I verified this one with the old fashion hand pump blood pressure cuff and both readings were within one to two points. I highly recommend this cuff!

Accurate and Dependable!
This machine works perfectly. I have had zero problems with it. The OMRON brand is a trusted and good brand. The readings are very close to those taken with a manual cuff. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and my Dr wanted me to take my readings two to three times per day. This machine is super easy to use, read, and is very accurate. I highly recommend this to anyone who is having to follow their blood pressure numbers.

In summer easy to use because I hang out in tee shirt
Caveat: I am not an employee nor a relative of an employee of OMRON or Amazon.com. Nor a friend of any person working for those two companies. I don't know anybody who works for those companies. I have successfully use OMRON monitor arm cuffs for over 5 years. Am 77 year old male with congestive heart failure. Had stroke in 2010 and have used Omron HEM-712C arm blood pressure monitor since then. In summer easy to use because I hang out in tee shirt. But in winter I have to take off heavy sweat shirt or two to be able to use arm cuff. Just went to buy new arm cuff. Noticed that Omron had a wrist monitor. So bought one. Just got it. It was easy to install batteries, set date and time and with their easy to use Getting Started guide. Was able to get very accurate blood pressure and heart rate reading much quicker than with the arm monitor. Once the wrist monitor squeezes its cuff to a point above the systolic level it immediately displays results. That seems to be because it looks for the diastolic pressure as it squeezes the cuff. The arm monitor, after it reaches a point which is above the systolic pressure comes down slowly until it senses the diastolic pressure. That normally takes around 30 seconds. Then it displays results. I also like the screen layout saying Sys, Dia and Pulse/min. Nice touch. 'No more arm cuff testing for me.. The Omron BP629 is perfect for taking blood pressure/heart rate year round.. It is easy to use. Recommend it to anyone who, like me, has to check their vitals twice a day. Amazon had the best price and free shipping. I also recommend Amazon.com. At least check them out for any purchase even if the competition beats them. I only found one company that beat one of their prices in the past 4 years. Thanks for reading.

Accurate, best readings when placed by heart
Easy to use, place on wrist, tighten velcro strap, and turn on. Remember the best reading come when the the monitor are at heart level. The instructions say to lay on flat surface about chest height. However, my cardiologist recommends placing monitor on chest by the heart for most accurate reading. The results I obtain this way are within a few points as manual readings by his nurse. Comes with own hard plastic carrying case.

Knowing that my mom can easily keep track of her blood pressure gives me such ...
This is a lifesaver.... literally! Recently my mom suffered a stroke due to unregulated high blood pressure. She is 60 years old and very small. My parents live 3 1/2 hours away in a different state. Knowing that my mom can easily keep track of her blood pressure gives me such peace of mind. I even ordered one for myself. I've checked it against a hospital grade arm cuff style blood pressure monitor. It is only off by about 6/8 mmHg. So, if you struggle with a traditional arm cuff style of blood pressure monitors than this is a great dependable alternative for you.

Accurate & Easy To Use - Omron Is The Best
Got this for my 92 year-old mother. She's compared it's readings to what she gets at the doctor's office, and this is surprisingly accurate! Quite amazing for a wrist model, which in the past had been known for not being accurate. I've found Omron to be the most reliable and accurate brand of BP monitors. This is great, as it has allowed my mother to manage her BP and use her medicines as necessary, which has helped keep her out of the hospital. Reagrdless of whether you end up buying a wrist-style or arm-band style monitor, buy an Omron and you can't go wrong. My mother has used both styles, and they've both been just as accurate. I was always leery of the wrist style ones, but Omron seems to have gotten it right- and these are a lot more convenient to use, and easier, especially for the elderly.

Exactly what I needed!
This is perfect! I have a ton of health issues & need to track my blood pressure & heart rate for my cardiologist, especially in the spring & summer months and my bp cuff I have from Omron was fantastic but it’s cumbersome to travel with and bc my arms are so small it’s a pain the get the cuff on my properly. I have VERY small wrists (under 5” circumference) and this fit me perfectly which I was worried about. My boyfriend on the other hand has giant moose hands & large wrists and he was also able to comfortably use this reader. So don’t let the small cuff size fool you when you take it out of the case, it doesn’t adjust! It also comes with a very nice hard plastic case to keep the cuff in, and two AAA batteries are also included so you’re able to use it right away which is a plus. This definitely is going to make my life much easier!
