I used this to yank the original spindle bearings from a 1940's Buffalo Forge drill press. They're 17mm ID and I had to file a tiny amount from the legs...still plenty of meat remaining. After soaking in penetrating oil, the bearing came out with a few modest pulls with the OTC slide hammer. Don't panic when you see the puller coupling...it accepts both 5/8 and 3/4" puller threads.

Nice heft to this puller. For those that said it didn’t fit your standard puller because threads were too big, did you bother to look down in the threaded hole? It has a smaller set of threads further down that will work. I tested it on my Gearwrench slide hammer and my OEM Brand one, and it fit both with no issues.

I was rebuilding an old drill press from the 1950's and needed an inside bearing puller and this is the one I got. All thread NFT (National Fine Threads) so if you need to make an adapter just remember they are fine threads. I had to make an adapter because I didn't have a slide hammer that fit. I initially made it with a coarse thread not knowing it was a fine thread until I got it. Once I made the right adapter it popped those bearings right out no problem.

My pilot bearing had a 15mm Id so I ordered this as I thought I could get it to work. With a little grinding on the back side of the jaws and very little on the front side, I got the jaws so they would get inside the 15mm id. Pulled out the pilot bearing in no time.

I know that you could rent them at the autoparts stores. Every one that I tried to rent (which was 3 times) all of them were eorn and busted. Couldn't remove the bearing. Edges were rounded off on the tool. Bought it and it workd the very first time. Now I own it and know it will always be there in my tool box.

Built a long extension an attached puller to reach an inside bearing race. I attached a slide hammer to the unit and put a extreme amount of impact force to it. The unit handled in just fine.

Very sturdy. I had a hard time pounding my stubborn pilot bearing out of my Foxbody Mustang. I thought for sure this tool would break but it didn’t , and I finally got the bearing out.

This tool was a life saver! Used it with a slide hammer and was able to pull out my prop seals in seconds! Saved me a lot of time and money......marine stores wanted 3x-4x more for the same tool! Highly recommended for DIY seal replacements!!

I was working to replace the sills in my outboard lower unit and this puller was perfect for the job. Very good quality for a reasonable price. Mated perfectly with OEMTOOLS 27033 5-Pound Slide Hammer.

Works great. Crate motors come with pilot bearing installed but it's not needed for automatic transmission applications so it must be removed with this and the matching slide hammer.
