Santa knew that my husband's drill bits had been disappearing at an alarming rate, so this year he received a set of standard and metric drill bits. DeWalt is a name associated with quality tools. The 21-piece Titanium Drill Bit set was the perfect addition to my husband's toolbox. He was very impressed with the quality of the bits as well as the nice case, which provides him with ease of storage. When one thinks DeWalt, they should always think Quality.

These are high quality long lasting drill bits. I have a set of these I bought a year ago. I have a drill press and hand held drills/impact guns. I got them originally for my hand drill. After using them on numerous different materials, including steel, aluminum, cast iron, wood, and pvc...they a performers. They just don't get dull. The pilot tip is great to start off real slow they won't jump around on you. You do have to be cautious though when drilling steal. The pilot will go thru and if the material isn't clamped down securely it will grab and spin the material on you. Besides that, they are amazing bits. I have 2 sets of these now and I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to buy a 3rd and 4th set. Great bits for the money. I have no complaints at all.

I've had these for over a year now and I'm happy with them. Yes they are cheap, so don't have super high expectations for metal work. I use them for typical homeowner and light hobby work, probably 90% wood and 10% plastic aluminum or drywall. I have the larger similar set from harbor freight as well but all the smaller bits have broken and the largest sizes do not chuck into my old craftsman cordless drill. These seem less brittle (I've also made more of an effort to take care of them) and the large sizes taper down so they will fit in smaller chucks. The case is a perfect size and helps keep me organized which is something I have a hard time with. It's thick and has no openings so the bits stay protected in my tool bag. I really can't think of any negatives, if you need a set of light to medium duty bits, buy these!

i love these bits, they all start quickly when they're new, and cover all the main sizes one would need. work well in metal, or wood. Only problem is that the big ones arent sharpenable, and the little ones have a habit of snapping (but all bits do). i have yet to completely wear out one of the big bits, but i have snapped lots of little bits. luckily the kit come with 2 of each for most of the very small ones. I use these every day, at least a few times a day for work. after about 6 months, my set starts looking a little snaggle toothed from bits being lost and broken, and i just buy a new kit. you cant really purchase these individually. im on my 3rd set now, and will keep replacing them once or twice a year until the quality changes. for a homeowner, you cant go wrong with these, for working with every day, it might not be the best thing if you are CONSTANTLY using drill bits, but to drill 10-15 holes a day, you should have no problem using them for a few years.

I just received my DeWalt drill bit pack in the mail. It's nice to see that with the smaller bits there are two of them in case you break one of them. For those who complain that their drill bits dull too quickly. You can smell the very light coating of oil on them when you open them. Keep your drill bits soaked with oil when you use them to prevent and prolong from dulling the bits. Not only does the oil prevent rust but it also prolongs the dulling of the bits keeping them sharper longer.. Especially when you are running them through harder materials. They aren't extremely expensive bits but they are typical DeWalt at home do it yourselfer and Light Tradesman quality.. as many have said if you have a problem with the quality of them, buy a more expensive drill bit. These appear to be fine for what they're going to be used for with me.

It’s difficult for me to say I “love” a product like this, but I do: it has a great variety of bits and I like how they are organized with the size printed on the outside of the slot on the case: my tired eyes have a hard time reading the size as engraved on the side of the bit: jus tbe sure to put the bit back in its slot when you’re done or swapping out to another size! In addition to wood, you can use these to drill through plastic (I’ve used them on PVC) and thin galvanized metal with no problem. Looking at other reviews I guess I am one of the few who likes the case as it keeps them all organized and compact vs. laying around on a countertop in your shop, and the smaller size means you can quickly grab it and go: I keep a set in my truck as well as in the house. One thing I do with these Dewalt containers in order to tell the screw sets differentiated from the drill bit set (sold separately): grab a Sharpie and write “Drill Bits” on both sides, as I can’t tell you how many times I’ve grabbed the drill bit set when I meant to grab the screws and vice versa. I picked these up during an Amazon sale for just under $25, and as I type up this review they are listed at $27.65; it’s still a great deal as the same set is $34.99 at my local Home Depot.

Good drill bits but what I like best about this product is the way the bits go in and out of the slots in the box. I've had others where you have to press the bit into the hole and then struggle to pull it out next time. With this box you put the bit in at a bit of an angle and just press it so it's standing straight up. This system makes getting the bits in and out of the box very easy. Someone should have thought of this a long time ago.

These are NOT premier drill bits. Like most of modern day Dewalt stuff, they are made in China from Chinese steel. If you want the best, payseven times as much and purchase from a reputable American manufacturer. There are a few left. I did and am very happy with THOSE bits. But my review is for THESE bits. I give them five stars because they are very good bits for the money. I bought them for utility use when I do not want to use my good bits. I have been quite happy with them. Some people give less than five star reviews for these bits complaining that they are cheap Chinese junk. Well for crying out loud, it is a 21 bit set and only costs $23! What do these folks expect for $23?I I do not use these bits on ferrous metals. You can use them on metal, but they will soon need sharpening. I use them primarily on aluminum, wood and plastics. If you want premium bits for drilling metal, try the American made Triumph cobalt steel 15 bit set that will set you back $160. Or, for wood try the Lee Valley Tools carbide tipped brad point 7 bit set that will set you back $135. Both of these bit sets are premium tools. Just remember the tool rule: You get what you pay for. Good tools pay for themselves. I can't understand reviewers that buy a $10 tool, then complain because it is of lower quality than a $50 version.

Nice titanium bit set with doubles of some bits that might wear out. Also, the plastic case closed compactly and very securely. Nothing worse than dropping a bunch of drill bits, especially the smaller ones. I have no other DeWalt products as I'm an old man who is not rich ;-). (Joking - got them for $25 and worth every penny.) Saw the titanium tips and the spares and went for these recognizing DeWalt's reputation for quality at good prices. I ordered these the day after my adult son "burned" his fingertips holding drill bits in place fixing some kitchen items for his mom (my wife). Talk about feeling guilty for not having the right tool for the job, I mean his fingertips were beet red and the screw heads were burning hot from the hard wood we were using. Highly recommend this complete, well packaged set.

I got these on sale through Amazon during a special deal of the day type thing for $12.99. At this price, these are a steal, and I am very happy with the quality of them. I wish I had bought another set or two at that price. At the typical $30-ish price they still represent a good value.I feel that DeWalt has been gradually improving the quality and performance of their tools, as well as the variety. I've done some drilling in laminates with these and so far I have no complaints at all.
