This is the one you had for years in your office at work that never gave out. I recommend it completely. Heats up fast, cleans easily. I have used mine for water mostly, but I have heated canned soup in it and with prompt cleaning it came through fine. A bit large for travel, but it sure would be handy for a business trip, and probably save money with quick heatable meals and hot drinks. Recommended.

This electric kettle design has to date back to the 1980's, and is still being made by sunbeam. Of course they offer newer electric kettles - the cordless type that are all you can find now at local stores, and I have tried those, but for me this old design is long lasting and fool proof. There is a lot of pressure on companies now in our capitalist society to continually update products so whatever you do own will always be obsolete, but I say.. .... if it aint broke dont fix it

I use this to boil water for coffee, tea or noodles. Sometimes, I take it to work. The microwave at work is usually dirty or in use. :)

Bought one of these for my dorm room when I went to college and it was great for boiling water, pasta, whatever I needed to heat. It then followed me to each apartment. That one died after over ten year of loyal service and I was very pleased to see that the same model was still offered.

This is a tea kettle / hot water kettle. It works very fast. Love it, not much more to say.

love this pot! it works great! its really fast to boil water. we used it on our last camping trip .

These have always worked for me. I boil water every morning for tea. They end up lasting me about 5 years.

Great product. Heats very fast. We use this every morning for a quick cup of tea and whenever a recipe calls for a measurement of "hot" water. It's so much faster than using my tea kettle on the stove

The Sunbeam Hot Pot was delivered promptly and was the same pot I have used for several years. I have no negative comments about the product.
