Blown away
This is the toughest scope I have ever owned and I'm saying this after two years of hard and I mean hard use. I bought it thinking it would end up in the back of the safe or on one of my old deer guns. It's currently sittting on a precision ar10 I use for Leo swat applications. I have taken it out to 900 yards many many times and back to zero with no issues, still driving tacs at 100. I've put 100's if not 1,000's of match grade .308's downrange and zero issues. It was even dropped down a shaft at a not so graceful moment, figured it was history, that was months ago. Still no issues. I hope I didn't get a fluke good one because I will be ordering another one soon!

great fit on DPMS 308
Very nice scope for my DPMS Oracle 308. easy to zero and sight in. Parallax adjustment is huge plus for me. has a clear image at all magnification levels and different distances. I put hi profile scope rings on it but. I like the fact wind-age and elevation adjustments are lockable, another nice feature. Pretty good mid level scope in my opinion. As a casual shooter out to 200 yards it is a great scope. The reticle color adjustment is something that isn't that important to me, nice feature. Update: The hi profile scope rings are a good addition for me, more comfortable while sighting in target. Personal preference, it also gives more room to get to charging handle. Update July 29 2016: Zeroing scope was extremely easy, 4 three shot groups and I was in the black the rest of the day. Once I locked the adjustments down it holds zero even after 200 rounds of 308. Not that I'm a great shot but this scope is a great scope, I basically shot the center out of the target. I must correct my statement about color reticle. The red is blurry to me but the green is crisp and clear. I have astigmatism pretty bad so maybe that's why I don't really know. I am really pleased with this purchase. Both color reticles are clear to my sons 20-30 year old eyes. I also had to call customer support at leapers for missing items in package, they shipped them to me in a couple three days. Happy customer. 24 March 2017: Scope is great performer, well over 1000 .308 rounds, still holding zero, still clear and crisp image.

PTR 91 .308 tested and approved
It'll take the recoil of a PTR 91 .308, but you'll need to get high profile rings to clear the rear drum sight. I'd recommend the UTG Max Strength LE Grade Quick Detach High Profile. I've only put 60 rounds through it and its holding up. Some weight comes with the size, but it doesn't weigh anything when the bipod is out. It has a very clear sight picture too. The rear flip up cover slides off easy when you go to flip it, but with my hat on, I like that cover off anyway. It's not for military purposes, so I went with the cheap brand this time, and I'm very happy I did. I hope to do a 1000 round review in a year or two.

If your looking for a fun scope for 5
The sole reason this is receiving 5 stars is because of the value of it as a whole package. If your looking for a fun scope for 5.56/.223 or something in the neighborhood this is a great go to. The glass is fairly clear, better than most in it's price range but not great by any means but your getting a scope that is 3-12x, holds zero on a 5.56 and can almost shoot MOA groups. I put down a 4 shot group at about 1.35" @ 100 yards. The reticle is a bit thick but very usable and the lighting is brighter than it needs to be. The focus knob on the left side is actually great and makes it easy no matter if your at 15 yards or 180 yards to focus quickly. Bottom line is this is a great scope if you are on a budget but need something pretty accurate, buy it you won't be disappointed. Also comes with a battery, scope rings everything necessary.

Great Scope and Stupendous Product Support
I purchased this item after allot of research. I am a 70 year old new air gun owner on a fixed income. The optics are clear and the features are exceptional for a scope at this price point. I did, however manage to break the front lens cover while mounting the scope. I was unable to find a replacement, even though I spent some time searching the internet. I went to the UTG website (leapers.com) and it was not listed. I emailed UTG (Leapers) and requested their assistance in locating the part so that I might purchase it. They shipped me one at no charge. That's just good business.

and we love them, so I bought the UTG 3-12X44 30mm
We have two UTG 3X9 BugBuster's, and we love them, so I bought the UTG 3-12X44 30mm, As I told my wife now I have to buy another rifle for the 3X9 I too off my M&P, because I love my new UTG 3-12X44 30mm!!! As with all UTG products I have bought, I have never been let down buy their quality. I want go into every thing about the scope, because it is all listed on this page. Just saying if you want a great scope, for a fraction of the price of other high end scopes, just get one, because we love our UTG scopes. FYI, I put in some pictures to compare the 3X9 to 3X12 in size ratio.

Awesome Scope!
I've put this on a MVP patrol to replace a nikon P-223 Nikon 8496 P-223 3x32 Matte BDC Carbine which is an awesome scope, but I wanted something that was compact and could reach out there a bit further for my old eyes, that didn't cost a fortune and this fit the bill. After I got it zeroed in, I've put 50 rounds through it over the past 2 days and it ROCKS. Clarity is great. I haven't messed with the illumination much but it works well, the provided mounts stay tight. I will update as time progresses about the longevity of the scope but for now I am impressed!

Better than expected
I have put 450 round of 5.56 on three trips and it has held zero. I was skeptical for this price range but this scope is better than expected! First off there is a video on setting true zero on scope before you mount to the gun-DO THIS! Mine was WAY off, I have no idea how they could have made it that far off but I am sure glad I checked it before mounting! As for angled crosshairs in other reviews, mine are fine. First I mounted the scope-the mounts are cheap but seam sturdy. It feels good, has a relatively close eye relief and turrets adjust very easily and have good feedback for clicks. I have a 30-06 with a $600 cabelas scope and this one feels better, has mildots and zooms in further! The illumination is cool i guess but I find myself not using it because in daylight I cannot tell when it is on or off. Shot 200 rounds after initial zeroing, left scope mounted and put gun back in the safe. I opened the safe every other day and tapped/smacked the gun and scope to simulate carrying/using the gun. took back to range after 2 weeks and it fired on target! I then took of the scope(using quick detach mounts) and checked the iron sights I installed just before the scope. After checking these I remounted the scope, it fired about 1.25 inches low(at 100 yards). I took off and remounted the quick detach again and it stayed on the low impact point so I adjusted the scope to rezero. I then put it back in the safe and kept hitting it every few days, shot it again and it was on target. I removed and attached the scope and it was about 1-2 inches low at 100 yards.....I do not expect these cheapo mounts to hold zero but staying within 2 moa is incredible!

You need one of these scopes........
What immediately impressed me when unboxing this scope, was it's weight.! It gave me the impression that all metal parts were used and, that it was solidly built.! It's easy to optically center following the vids provided on their site. When taking it out to the range, it was pretty right on for accuracy.! The field of view is great as is the clarity.! Edge to edge sharpness and, once you've zeroed in the scope, you can lock the adjustments. I'm using this one on an FN PS90, and have no problem using it for CQC..! This is the 9th UTG scope I've purchased........ I have them on Olympic Arms AR 223 and their AR 7.62,... Mossberg & Remington 308's, KelTec 9mm carbine, Ruger 22lr Race Rifle, Excel Arms 22WMR rifle and a S&W M&P15-22 .22 lr.! For the $$ spent, I haven't found any scope that matches or surpasses its ability.! I am one happy customer with the quality of these scopes.!

A very good scope for the price
This has become my go-to scope for airguns. It is very compact, clear, and tough as nails! I have several springers that are really tough on scopes, but my UTG Swat scopes have really withstood the torture of riding on my NP guns for over a year with no problems. Also of note is the illuminated reticle, which I really don't use much. The few times I have felt like I needed it, however, I found it very easy to use. I don't have any real "high-end" scopes, so I can't speak as to the clarity of the glass compared to them. As a user of lower-end stuff, I can say that this scope's glass is very clear and bright, with only the slightest distortion around the edges of the lens.
