Perfect fit but heat seems 20F cooler coming from the vents
Perfect fit for 1996 dodge ram. I suggest cutting the tubes on the OEM one to remove and cut these tubes for easier install. I used heater hose and clamps to hold them together afterwards. Mo meed to remove the entire dash on this truck using this method. Took me less than 30 minutes this way. These dashes are already very brittle so the less removal the better. I used expanding foam to fill in the spot in the firewall from cutting away the insulation material. I will say the OEM one lasted 257k miles and my idle heat was around 150F but with this one I'm seeing about 125F. Original one the pipe cracked inside the engine bay when replacing a hose the core itself wasn't leaking but I knew it would at some point because well it's a dodge lol.

Well so far so good. Read for install tips
Bought this in October of 2018 for my leaking 2001Ram 1500, it’s now February 2019 and has not sprung a leak thus far. There is a YouTube video showing the removal installation of this, but unfortunately some models of the Ram 1500 it is necessary to ALSO loosen some things on the firewall as well to get the new one in. That video don’t mention it. I don’t remember the video now on YouTube, but there is a big black thing with like 8 screws holding it to the firewall right next to the heater core. Loosen this and you will then have the clearance to move the suitcase under the dash far enough to r&r it. Edit: It’s Memorial Day 2019 still working fine, no leaks

Great buy very happy
I bought my buddies 2500 and it had no heat in 5 years but now it’s blowing really good heat. Great value for the money for sure. Nobody wants to drive a vehicle when it’s 30 degrees outside with no heat. My boy is my mechanic it took about 2 hours and it was his first time doing one. So far so good! Update after a week on install it is still blowing hot but I need to replace my blower motor and resistor. I would recommend checking this while you have the dashboard pulled or just go ahead and replace the blower motor for maximum use of the heater core to blow out consistent heat since it’s getting cold every where.

Perfect fit! Better than O.E.M.
Perfect fit! Got this for my 2001 dodge Ram.I would suggest watching some YouTube videos on the procedure for replacing this.Just so you know what you're in for. It's not an real easy job. It took me 4 hours. But a hell of a lot cheaper than a garage. Hundreds less. This is a nice little unit. Unlike O.E.M. the lines swivel, which is essential to get this thing in.This will likely outlast my truck.

Worth every penny and the time to do it yourself
I was able to disconnect the two tubes from the new heater core, drop it into place and then re-bend aluminum stops to hold the tubes back into the core. You must be very careful not to damage the O rings on the tubing. I’m a licensed plumber and deal with stuff like this all the time. You can bend the aluminum couplings back open and the two pipes will come out of the heater core and this makes it really easy to drop it into place and then reattach the piping. Good luck

I have heat now!
Wasn't that bad to replace on my 01 Dodge ram. Initially I thought I was going to have to pull the whole dash but learned about unbolting it and hinging away from the firewall. These swivel pipes made that method possible. I checked them for leaks prior to install by plugging one pipe with my finger and blowing air in the other pipe. Make sure to check before pulling your dash!!!

Easy install!
I had read that others had a hard time installing. All I had to do was rotate the lines down fully . Slipped right in. Took longer to remove old than to install new. All clamps and hardware fit perfectly! Works great no leaks! Saved several hundred dollars vs having a repair shop do it. Defrost baby!

You can replace your own heater core with this unit.
well it's been almost a year and i'm still satisfied with this product. The swiveling tubes are the cure for not having to rip your entire truck apart just to replace the heater core.I used/lost zero antifreeze and less than a foot of heater hose. It took me almost four hours to R&R this part (I'm slow) . i'm sure I'd be done in two hours now that i've done it once.

Best product for the price
Great product, fit good. Really makes a huge difference in a 20 year old truck. I couldn’t believe how hot the heater blew and the truck seems to run a tad cooler. And honestly; it’ll probably outlive the life of the truck. I didn’t want to remove the dash so i had someone do it, mechanic said no issues. 97 ram 1500.
