I really do not understand the bad reviews of this device

I really do not understand the bad reviews of this device. My only complaint is that it doesn't do the work for me automatically. Seriously people, what are you trying to cut? Yeah the blades spin backwards. So what. It works without issue and has cut my edging time by over half. Worth every penny.

This has exceeded our expectations. I ordered this for my husband who was a critic of most edgers. This has exceeded his expectations. He gets the edging done in a short time.

Worth the price.

I use this to edge my yard every two weeks. Nice surprise is that I've used it five times and it started up all five times. The key is to play with the throttle sometimes. Sometimes not at all but once it starts up it runs fine Cuts well.

Easy to assemble and set up and started right up

This edger is just the right size for the size of my lawn. I found it easy to set up. I have lots of power and hand tools but I didn't need any of them to assemble or set up the edger. I've only used it once so far but it worked fine. Although it has a primer bulb, I also used the choke and it started right up. I just wish the choke lever was easier to access.

A Win!

This guy is tough. Years of unkept lawn/patio/sidewalk. I thought it'd be tough and we'd need to do it three or four times. Went through the overgrown mess like it was nothing. Very happy.

Took a gamble, no issues here!

Just got this in the mail today, followed the instructions, added the oil and new gas, pumped the rubber button 20 times, and it started right up on the 3rd pull. I let it warmed up for 30 to 60 seconds, and it edged my driveway quite well. Seems that I had more than enough power. I was skeptical when I bought this, due to the mix reviews, but so far so good. There was a review I read, stating that it doesn't edge well, but I beg to differ. Feel free to take a look at my photo to show how well it did first try. I did set the depth gauge back 3 from the deep edge cut, so it wouldn't tear up my semi wet lawn. Looks like I can finally throw my other electric cord edger away! I'll be curious to see the life span of this tool. I'll update if anything changes, but so far so good.

Excellent buy

Great buy. I have a small lot and it works awesome. Pretty powerful and very easy to start. Usually 3-4 pulls. Works well for cutting new edges of maintaining existing ones. Can’t go wrong with this, especially considering how pricey many of the alternatives are. Takes some getting used to, to operate this well, but once you get the hang of it, great machine!
