Fantastic price for genuine B&D battery
Perfect batteries for my B&D cordless blower and string trimmer. They are the real thing at a great price. On Amazon you can get two of these for less than you would pay for one at the big retail home centers. If you need more runtime for your Black & Decker cordless tools this is the way to go for sure. Very happy with my purchase.BLACK+DECKER LBXR20 20-Volt MAX Extended Run Time Lithium-Ion Cordless Tool Battery

Holds a charge far longer than a regular battery!
I bought a couple of Black and Decker tools. They came with a regular battery. I purchased this one as an additional one. It makes a huge difference compared to the other one. I can trim my hedge, switch it to the blower and then onto the weed wacker. It lasts so much longer. I'm so glad I bought it!

Batteries are so much lighter, more powerful, and tolerant of storage these days,
Expecting that the whole Matrix line will probably be dropped or become unavailable in a short time, I bought ever accessory I expected to need. replacing my giant old 18V set that had a sander, jigsaw, circular saw, and drill. More power than the old set, stores for months and still has a charge, and all fits into a decent sized tool bag instead of a giant case. Charged this spare battery up almost three months ago. tossed it in the bag. Went to do some work on the truck and the first battery was getting low. Even after sitting the pack was plenty full and provide the juice to hack thru some damaged bodywork. A battery that weight a third of my old 18v ones. Runs longer and stronger than those old batteries. If I let my old 18v ones sit for three months, I'd be lucky to get 5 minutes of work out of them.

Understanding Black & Decker 20V Lithium Batteries
First, I am not an expert on batteries. But, I do possess an investigative nature stemming from my line of work. So as of this writing, let me share my findings based upon my investigation into the Black & Decker 20v Lithium battery line. The newer LBXR20 is a 1.5 Ah battery. The LBXR2020 is a 2.0 Ah battery, and the LB2X4020-OPE is a 4.0 Ah battery (basically a piggy-backed LBXR2020). The first B&D 20v Lithium batteries (LB20 before 2012?) were, as far as I can tell, generally something less than 1.5 Ah with disappointing run time. Different B&D 20v tools will come with different 20v Lithium batteries. Example: I purchased a LST300 Weed Trimmer that had the LBXR20 1.5 Ah battery. Before I used it, I noticed a sale on the LCC300 Combo, which not only had the LST300 Trimmer, but also the Blower for the same money and had the LBXR2020 2.0 Ah battery. I returned the single Trimmer and bought the Combo. So, it would seem different single tools or combo packs will likely come with different 20v Lithium batteries, or multiples thereof. No 2 people will achieve the same battery usage per charge given the same task with the same tool(s). We walk/move at different speeds. Some people will prefer to have one battery that lasts twice as long, and others would prefer to have the flexibility of 2 batteries that have half the run time (one on the charger while using the other). Different strokes for different folks, and different use requirements. I have one LBXR20 battery and one LBXR2020 battery. I have a smaller rural yard in a planned community, with about 250 lineal feet of edging/trimming around the perimeter. I use the LBXR2020 battery for the trimmer and is more than adequate to complete the task in about 15 to 20 minutes of run time and the battery is not yet expired. I then put it on the charger and use the LBXR20 battery for the blower for about 15 minutes or so, and it is not depleted before I recharge. Lastly, if you have a large task to perform that will require a long run time and you don't want to have to stop and change batteries, then by all means I would get the LB2X4020-OPE 4.0 Ah battery. Hope this helps and by all means, this analysis is open to criticism, correction and comment.

I like the peace of mind from having this second battery
Had to get a second battery as backup for the one that came originally in the bundle that got me started with this 20 volt system. Every time I use any one of four tools already purchased, I think: one of best things I ever did. My original battery seems to last forever when used only on my drill, however fades quickly on hedge trimmer, saw, or weed trimmer. So second battery really needed. This extended version does seem to last much longer and on a fresh charge seems to run both trimmers more powerfully. Even though I balked at price when I purchased it, I feel glad I spent the money to get it. I like to know I will enough power to finish the tasks I start.

Amazon makes shopping so easy ! And they have great Represenitives to help.
Hello Fellow Fixers, I purchased the B&D vacuum & Drill Kit. It comes with 1 battery. So I ordered an extra battery which was the only one described as Extended Run Time. Well after using the battery I thought maybe it was defective and called B&D. They explained the battery and the types there are. Type 1 is the extended run time battery. The one I ordered was type four which was not extened run vtime. The vacuum uses much more power then the drill and it would drain the battery down quickly. So I then called Amazon. The ordered was almost 4 months past and I didn't think hey would help me. This is why I love to do all my online shopping with Amazon. They helped me with the battey problem and it is a beautiful evening. Thank you Andrew & Amazon, Sincerely, Fred

Must have for Matrix owners
I have the Matrix drill with the drill, impact, and trim saw attachments. Having another battery keeps me going as long as possible. The extended battery is definitely an improvement over the included Matrix kit battery. Like all lithium batteries/drills, they typically give little warned to when they are about to die, and once dead you need to swap batteries, no chugging along as slow speeds. The battery does seems to get quite warm, particularly while using the impact and saw attachments. I am concerned the system may over stress the batteries and decrease their life span. I continue to use the standard battery charger which unfortunately takes nearly 6 hours to fully charge this battery but I hope it will help maintain its health.

Does the job
I bought the set of tools by Black and Decker to include weed eater, blower, hedge trimmer, and extended length hedge trimmer. I needed one more battery. I love my set of cordless tools. They are powerful and are so much more convenient than dragging out a wire every time I want to do a trim.

Second battery for my B & D leaf blower
I love my lightweight leaf blower but, as others have noted, the battery does not last all that long. I'd say 30 to 40 minutes before it starts losing power. But it's perfect for me, being lightweight, and my yard/patio being small, and what with me having arthritis. So my solution was to buy a second battery. As soon as I'm done, I switch out the battery and put the used one in the charger and it's ready to go again. I have a lot of big trees around my yard and use this almost daily. I love it.

Great back up for large jobs.
Great stock replacement. The stock battery doesn't last long, so having this replacement allows me to get my whole driveway and patio done in one shot instead of finishing half and waiting a few hrs for the battery to charge to finish. Now I just switch out the dead one for the charged one and complete the job.
