Even though it tells you the dimensions, I was expecting it to be a bit bigger and deeper. Based on all the photos of 4 to 5 year olds holding the lunch bag. I got this for my 2 year old. It was a purchase to replace another lunch bag so having it be bigger was most important to me. But it is good quality and cute. Not sure of the insulation quality yet.

We are now the proud owners of two sets of matching Wildkin school bags! Our first set was the Bright Stripes 17” Megapak backpack, Overnighter Duffel Bag, 7x10 Flat Lunch Box and Nap Mat (4 pieces in total) for my daughter to use for kindergarten. The matching bright striped pattern made it easy for me and her teachers to quickly and easily identify all her stuff. This was the number one reason I purchased this and it definitely serves its purpose. Wildkin has so many types of matching school bags for kiddos I had no problem finding exactly what I wanted. Backpack was the perfect size for my little one. She fit her lunchbox, water bottle, jacket, homework folder and any crafts she was bringing home from school into her back pack. Lunch box was well insulated, the perfect size for our bento plus an ice pack, and withstood being thrown in washing machine on a regular basis. Duffel was just the right size for my 6yo’s swim clothes, shoes and towel. Nap mat was adequate, but eventually became stiff and bumpy after being washed every week. Minor issue but honestly my kid didn’t complain. The entire set survived kindergarten without any problems whatsoever. No complaints. I would have kept our original set except I realized after kindergarten that I needed a bigger lunchbox to fit her snacks and I couldn’t find the double compartment lunchbox in Bright Stripes anymore (old style) and I’m too OCD not to have a complete matching set. We chose the Rainbow Hearts pattern (so cute!) and again purchased the same 17” Megapak Backpack, Overnighter Duffel, this time we skipped the Nap Mat and changed to the Two Compartment Lunch Bag. I really like the Two compartment Lunch bag because it’s bigger. Bento lunch goes in the bottom zipped compartment, snacks in the top container. The dimensions are not the same as our original lunchbox so I’ve had to be creative with our bento set. Overall very happy with our purchases every year! Thinking this last set will last us a while.

Just got this for my daughter during the holiday. She needed a new lunch bag to fit her bentgo lunch box. This is a perfect! although we began using it today I can tell this is quality made and will get many uses. Also, Fits two ice packs and a drink! Has two additional pocket areas, inside and out, that can hold extras!

I love this! I wanted something similar to the pottery barn lunch boxes but for much less of a price. This is amazing. It's bigger than pottery barn's and has a zipper outside pocket plus the mesh inside pocket. It fits my lunch organizers with EXTRA SPACE! I had an ice pack in the mesh pocket, lunch organizer plus an individual bag of goldfish and it zipped without problem. I highly recommend this.

This lunch box is bright and very roomy! My daughter loves it and I can fit a small packit size freezer container inside without issue. The zipper seems to be holding up well. If I find something on the outside I use a damp cloth and it cleans the bag up nicely. I would recommend this lunch box to anyone that asked. We had previously purchased some Frozen bags and lunch boxes which did not last half of a school year. My children are in preschool 3 days and the other is in kindergarten 5 days a week. The point is the bags and lunchboxes weren't getting handled roughly. This lunchbox is still in such good condition that my daughter will be able to use it again next year if she so chooses.

I love these Wildkin Lunch boxes! They are the perfect size to fit a real water bottle or thermos, sandwich, chips, apples, etc. or a plastic lunch box container. I also bought the EasyLunchboxes 3-Compartment Bento Lunch Box Containers, Set of 4, Classic and the Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers Slim Penguin Lunch Ice Packs, Multicolored, Set of 4 and they work perfectly together. After 3/4 of a year of school these are still in great shape. I bought the Big Dot Aqua and the Butterfly Garden and they are both adorable. Would but again!

12/1/16 Just received this today to go with our newly purchased bentgo box. The bag looks well made and was able to fit a small Honest juice box inside, and in the outside zippered pouch. I attached photos of what it looked like in both scenarios. Will update once my preschooler uses it more and how well it holds up. I am now on the hunt for a water bottle that will fit in place of the juice box.

Got 2 of these along with the matching backpacks, (pink and light blue). These lunchboxes are well made, the only down side is the material on the outside of the lunchbox is hard to clean. My kids throw them on the ground at school and I can't get the dirt marks off. But the inside cleans easily which it most important. I can fit a sandwich, several snacks, a whole apple and a 16oz water bottle inside.

I had to purchase this after buying a "yumbox" and a "bentgo" box for my children's lunches. Our old pottery barn lunch boxes were not big enough. I will go right to this one in the future! There are many cute designs to choose from and they are the perfect size for compartment style lunch boxes (like the bento boxes). My daughter loves it more than the PB ones that were double the cost. My only complaint is there is no outside drink holder. There is one on the inside, but i like an additional one on the outside. This didn't sway my 5star rating though. I like most of what WILDKIN has to offer. (I also own one of their nap mats and love it)

My daughter will use this for kindergarten this year and we are both excited! The pink leopard print is adorable, easily wipeable inside and out, and plenty of room without being huge and bulky. We also ordered the Bentgo ice packs and 2 fit perfectly in the bottom of this lunchbox. We already use the Easy Lunch Box containers, and they fit as well on top of the ice packs - I will update this review later this Fall once we are using it daily.
