This sketch pad is everything we have been looking for! My 9 year old loves to draw and I’ve been ordering these regularly to keep her learning! It’s way better than normal paper!

The only sketchbook I buy

I buy these in bulk now. The pages are perforated so if you let it all out and realize you hate who you are, you can cleanly tear pages out and pretend it never happened. Just kidding. But I do love perforated pages tearing out cleanly. These are also small so I don't feel as awkward carrying it around as I would an 9x12. Buy yourself one and get to work! Also, to my novices out there. I went to art school. Strathmore was the only sketch and drawing paper we were allowed to buy. It's good stuff.

I used this for a very long time, and love it!

I've been using strathmore sketchbooks since I was 9 years old. I always loved using them and continue to! When I first started in art school when I was 9 all my teachers had me got strathmore including now since I am in college. I love their values especially. They are other brands that are good, but not as good as strathmore in my opinion. I love all their papers!! I would definitely recommend for professional or beginner.

I was plesently surprised with the fact this sketch book was slightly bigger then the measurements said it is the absolute perfect size the front cover is a little flimsey but that's ok the back cover is made of hard cardboard the paper itself doesn't look too thin to ink but we will see

Tons of pages, good paper for sketching, pencil, marker, I have even used watercolor on this paper.

Nature journaling

Great size for taking on hikes and nature journaling. We use them with pencil, pen and watercolor. They work great for whatever we use on them. I will buy again.

Great for nature journals and sketching

I bought these for nature journals for my homeschooled children. This is the sketch book I used in my college art classes and those journals are still in good condition. They are sturdy and the pages are thick. We draw with pencil and not watercolor though so I don't know how well they work for that now though I have watercolors and ink in my college ones and assume they haven't changed. My 2 year old even has no problem turning the pages of his journal without tearing them.

Strathmore 60 Pound sketch pad

The remarkable thing about Amazon is the better you can describe what you want, the more likely that your order will be what you wanted! This is 60 Pound Paper. If you are using watercolors, I have since recollected, at least 90 Pound paper is what is needed so paper lies flat, etc etc, etc. That being said....I got what I ordered and for start up again, I am making do and living with my mistake. The paper is good quality for sketching. I wouldn't advise purchasing this for watercolor ;) ! Oh and the spine is sturdy and paper turns easily on the spine.
