Good, thick, double-sided paper

Bought this two-pack for my toddler son to use with crayons. The pads are of thick paper and both sides can be used. My only complaint is that the pages aren't perforated to tear from the book neatly. But overall very happy with the purchase.

Big and Sturdy

I noticed that my daughter started showing interest in drawing. She is four. I went on here to find a decent drawing book and couldn't be happier. This book is sturdy and bigger than I expected. She absolutely loves it. I will return for another when she fills this one up!

great for preschool art portfolio

My preschool daughter loves these particular pads. It's nice that she can get her own clean sheet just by turning the page. It's also a nice way to store her work -- I just have to save the pad rather than 50 loose pages... We have bought many of these and will keep buying them. The only thing is that you kind of can't rip a page out to frame, etc, because of the spiral edges. (I suppose you COULD cut the edges...) Great pad...

Perfect Gift for the Grands

I like to gift my grandkids with art supplies and this pad is a nice generous size pad with decent weight paper, heavier than the copy paper they use when there are no other choices. They use it for their paint and marker creations. and it holds up well. It is also very reasonably priced for those of us grandparents on limited budgets.

High quality paper and easy to use in the house or on the go - and on BOTH sides of the paper (yeah for the environment)

We bought these to avoid having single sheets of drawing paper all over the house. Now, our toddler just picks up the sketch pad and brings it to where ever drawing is required incl. out of the house. And we have a nice portfolio of her old drawings in one place. She even likes to revisit her old drawings herself, so this is great. Because its a pad with a spiral in the top, we can also draw side by side, and we ensures that both sides of each paper is used. She would not accept this with single sheet paper, but in this sketch pad, its almost natural to her because it gives her a 'book feeling'. Highly recommended

Great For Kids!

Highly recommend these sketch pads for kids! The paper is thick enough to hold up to painting and very durable when it comes to erasing. Will definitely order more of these. They shipped quickly and arrived in great condition.

Great for kids

The best thing about this pad of paper is that it lies flat. The paper is bright white and doesn't bleed through when using markers. We use this for my son to draw pictures as well as practice writing/reading letters and words. The only drawback is that it doesn't rip evenly, so be prepared for perforated edges if you are hanging drawings on the fridge! We actually prefer to keep everything together to look back through, as opposed to a bunch of loose papers, so it works for us.

These are the best sketch pads for children I have ever used. The paper is good quality, and thick enough to resist bleeding through to the next page with every type marker my eight-year-old granddaughter and I have used. We use a pad fully opened, so we can sit side by side on the sofa together, each with our own page, and do drawing challenges. The ring binding allows for the pages to lay flat. The pages can easily be removed for fridge art, or to clean up the pad and save the best work as an album when full. I can't overstate the quality of these pads, in both thickness and versatility with mixed media. The pads are not just for children, I enjoy using them for my own amateur work as well.

Perfect sketch pad for the kiddos

I purchased 4 of these Melissa and Doug sketch pads for our grandchildren. I was very happy with the weight of the paper and the fact that the spiral is at the top of the sketch pad. As a lefty it can be a pain in the neck to try and sketch when that annoying spiral is on the side of where you are trying to draw. The pads are a great price.

A Big Hit

My granddaughter had requested drawing paper for Christmas, and I selected this Melissa and Doug product. Little did I know that this would actually be a jump-up-and-down gift for her, but she was totally thrilled. Even better, later when she drew her first picture, using water-based color markers, she was thrilled to find out the colors didn't bleed through onto the next page. I can highly recommend this product!
