Works like a charm!
UPDATE: Feb. 17, 2015. I have used this Crock-Pot a dozen times since writing my review ... and it gets better and better! I've made casseroles, breakfast dishes, beans, roast, ribs, Mexican food dishes - all just great (including the chicken/rice recipe with the rice cooked in the Crock-Pot)! The stoneware liner is easy to clean and food is NOT sticking to the sides or bottom. Warmer feature is super and it does not appear to be too hot. I found that when a cooking time range is given, such as 6-8 hours, I should probably go with the low or middle part of the range. For someone who actually HATES to cook, I'm becoming a regular Betty Crocker, and even experimenting, because cooking is SO easy with this appliance. I'm SO glad I made this purchase! Now ... back to your regular programming with the original review ... ---------------- I have an old Crock-Pot and it still works, but is too small for a roast, etc. So I got this one for two reasons: 1) bigger, 2) can program the time and temperature setting. I've only used it twice and, at this point, I am extremely satisfied. Should things change, I most definitely will update. The programmable feature is really nice because you can set the cooking temperature on LOW or HIGH and set the cooking time in 30-minute increments all the way up to 20 hours. Some other "programmable" slow cookers have a few time/temp combination options but they are quite limited - this one gives you total control. Once the programmed cooking time is finished, the Crock-Pot automatically turns to "warm." The controls are touch (instead of turn dials) and very user-friendly. The user manual is small, but complete, and includes a couple recipes. My first dish: Breakfast Casserole (photo attached). Very tasty and the Crock-Pot worked perfectly. There was some extra browning around the edges so I probably need to adjust the cook time a bit ... and you'll have to do that with any slow cooker. Second dish: Hot Sausage Stew. Again, the appliance worked perfectly and the "warm" feature is great because the food finished cooking before I was ready to eat. Keep in mind: you may consider the "warm" temp to be hotter than you expect but that's because of government regulations, not the Crock-Pot. This Crock-Pot holds a LOT of food! I'm cooking for just me so I put some in the fridge and the rest in smaller containers in the freezer. And since I truly hate to cook, this is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen but still have good food to eat. The food I prepared didn't stick to the stoneware and it was super easy to clean. Just hot, soapy water and rinse. You can also put the stoneware and the glass lid in the dishwasher. I will probably never use the "carry" function but I did try the locked lid and the rubber seal is tight and should make it easy to take your dish to the potluck, etc. Just don't lock the lid while you're cooking! Bottom line: the ability to truly program the cooking time/temp ... and the "warm" function ... make this my top kitchen appliance (right along side my George Foreman grill). I'm actually looking for slow cooker recipes to try - and I can't believe I'm doing that! My old Crock-Pot is at least 15 years old and that's why I chose this brand. Because of the "computer" that allows the programming, I know the chances of it lasting that long are probably slim because the fancier you get, the more chances you have of something going wrong. But the price is right and, so far, I'm very happy with my purchase. Amazon shipping was fast and the slow cooker was packed in its original box with plenty of protection.

Great crock pot
My last programmable crock pot broke so I needed a replacement. I found this one and it met all my needs and then some. I love that I can pick the amount of time it is on high or low temperature. The fact that the timer counts down is also a plus. That way I can see how much cook time is left. Once the timer hits zero it switches to warm so my food isn't over cooked. The lid also has a nice seal on it that works great. I don't have any use for the travel locking setup but it's a nice added feature for just in case. The handles on this crock pot seem heavy duty and much stronger than some of the average crock pots. For me the item shipped in the regular box you would buy at the store. It arrived in perfect condition without any damage done to it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a programmable crock pot.

So convenient
I loved everything about this product. I place frozen chicken breasts in it before leaving for work, with a can of cream of mushroom soup and came home to cooked dinner. Love it and so does my family.

So I use it like that now
I broke my top to my Rival crock pot and couldn't replace it. So I figured I'd go ahead and get a new one, ugh. I first used it to make tortilla soup and noticed it wasn't quite as large as my previous item. My hubby suggested I try the top on my old crock pot and guess what it fit! So I use it like that now. As far as this item goes it works fine. Then when I got ready to take the stone ware out it was kind of hard to do without extra material on the sides to grip it. Maybe I'm just partial to my old Rival crock pot (that has this feature for easy removal) and being picky. I still think this is a good product, that'll get the job done. If you're in need of a crock pot this one is fine.

Best Crockpot Ever!
I love this crockpot! I own one and bought this for my daughter. Great size, the timer is such a plus, just set the time and once it's done, it goes to warm automatically. No need to worry if you're late getting home. I also love the locks on the top of the crockpot! You can take it in the car and not worry about spills, the top stays on and you carry it using the handles on the side. It's easy to clean because you take the pot out when you're done, wash it then put it back to store it. So many reasons to love this crockpot! Best crockpot every and I've owned a lot over the years! I definitely recommend this crockpot!

love this item
Ok, the story behind this purchase was a birthday present, which is the second one that Randy gave me this year. I was minding my own business, lol, cleaning up and I moved the crockpot for so-called safety reason. Pow!! I placed it on an uneven shelf and the crockpot came crashing down. So, I purchased another one, number three. I said all of that because I love this cookware. You place your meat in it or a stew, chicken whatever you want even rice. Set it and forget it. And once it is complete cooking it will switch automatically to warm. I have made bread pudding, cakes (leave the top off). I just experiment with this crockpot like a mad chemist. Enjoy the Pot.

I hate crockpots...
My girlfriend loves this crock-pot, and I'm actually pleased that for the features that are included, it's fairly inexpensive. Well, basically, I'm simply saying that it's worth the money. And granted, I hate crock-pots, slow cookers, and the like - I just feel that appliances such as these take the fun out of cooking. So, if you have no time during your day and a busy schedule, or maybe you're just lazy and need to purchase a reasonable slow-cooker, I believe this is the item for you. Clearly I have nothing else to do aside from practice a little prose... Durability: Don't drop it. Versatility: Includes some nice features for timing, etc. Easy to clean: Indeed. I've cleaned this item several times.

Best crockpot out there. Programmable from Hi or Low cooking for hours, and then just goes to "warm"..
This is my 3rd of this type. The first was programable, but didn't have a locking lid. Used that for several years until I took it to a neighbors party and some drunk guest dropped and broke the lid. The neighbor then bought me one like this with a locking lid, but without the programmable part. Works fine, but now, with this one, i have the best of both worlds. I absolutely LOVE how the locking lid keeps liquids from spilling out around my counter in the middle of the night (or day)as I'm slow cooking some pork shoulder, chicken, stew, etc. Also, how easy it is to just put it on low for several hours and then, when it's done it doesn't just turn off, rendering my meal cold, but goes into "warm" mode. Really, REALLY love this. I have about 7 or 8 different crockpots on my pantry shelf, and this is not only the best, but I'm thinking I'll be getting rid of all the others at the next garage sale. Since, obviously, I don't use them anymore.

Not sure what else you need from a slow cooker!
WHY WOULD NO ONE TELL ME THE MAGIC OF SLOW COOKERS RIGHT WHEN THEY BECAME A THING!? Seriously this thing is a busy person's savior or in my case, a lazy person's dream! This one is plenty large enough and incredibly easy to use. I mean really look at the buttons on this thing, if you can't figure that out, you have other things to sort out rather than look at slow cookers. Reviews say this one runs a bit hotter than most, but I've followed a handful of recipes and their cook times seem to be accurate. I really love that this model will automatically switch to keep warm after the timer you set expires. That last part is crucial for me because I work 10+ hour shifts and most recipes even on low are about 8 hours. That keep warm feature makes sure my food isn't burnt, but still warm when I get home.

Great product, great deal!
Love my Crockpot! This is so easy to use and convenient. I've even taken it to a Thanksgiving dinner and had no issues with spilling with the car ride. Only thing I wished is that there was an app where you could turn it on and control the settings from wherever you are since most recipes cook for 6 hrs or less and I'm usually at work for 8 or more. Yes, it will switch to warm, but depending on what your cooking and how it's laying in the pot, it could overcook. However, all my food has come out tasty and other than that, no complaints.
