Nice small blender that works!

So far, so good. Reading through other reviews came me tips on how to prolong the life of this little blender - THEY ARE RIGHT. When used correctly, this little guy is a monster! I always make sure 50% of the bottle is liquid, fill the rest + ice, blend for short bursts with some shaking in between. Less than 2 min, I have my morning protein shake, nice and chilly! Small foorprint means it can stay on the counter, the blade lid is super easy to clean out. Hopefully I'll get several good years of use out of this little guy (Oster is a great brand - i have a 20+ yr old blender of there's at home!) [ will update in time if issues appear]

Wonderful Blender

I don't write reviews.... Who has time with the number of items I order from Amazon, but I had to write a review of this Oster blender. I LOVE it. I make a couple of smoothies a day and it is awesome. I was going to get one more expensive and then I read the reviews on this one. Wasn't a lot of money so if I was disappointed, no big deal. The power is great. My granddaughter used it also and ended up buying her own for at home. (She bought pink). Best money I ever spent.

So fast, and no clumps!

I got this blender because I wanted to start making myself a smoothie each morning to get in my fruit/vegetables for the day more easily. It's compact, holds just enough ingredients for a large single-serve, and works great. I usually put in a banana, frozen fruit, coconut milk, and protein powder. it blends very quickly and without any clumps. I have a very expensive full-sized blender that isn't that fast! Best part is that I can just flip, unscrew the blender, and pop on the lid for quick travel out the door to work after. It's made my life easier in the mornings and having a real breakfast has helped my energy level. I'm very pleased.

Must Have!

This is the 2nd one I have bought I bought my first one at Wal-Mart for a similar price a few years ago and still holds up great. I have purchased the bottle separately (it's comes with one). My husband and I make shakes daily, and this makes it way easier! I recently bought it again to have at work for my meal replacement shake. It's easy to store in my desk and take 5 mins to make my shake and put up. Everyone should own one!

For this price range, you won't get a better personal blender!

For this price range, this personal blender packs a pretty decent punch! If you are looking for a simple blender to make your daily smoothies, this blender works really well. I put it to the test using frozen fruits, ice, seeds and nut butters, and it did an amazing job blending each of those items. As long as I added enough liquid, I had no problems. The blender base and cup are very easy to store and clean - HUGE PLUS when you live in a small space. I really like the fact that I'm able to blend and go. The cover could have been designed a little better (it seems to leave a slight "ring" around the lip after you sip, and you have to be extra careful it is closed securely), but for the price, I am completely satisfied with this product.

With so many options, this is a good one

My mom's blender exploded an I'd thought I'd buy her a new one. She only uses it for smoothies so I went for a personal blender but was overwhelmed with the options. I wanted something under $50, but the problem is there's no clear cut "best" blender based solely off reviews ratings (except in the $100+ option). The more expensive units don't necessarily have higher ratings, and I didn't want to pay more for something that's not going to last any more than the cheaper ones. I settled on this one and it was a good choice. Blends frozen berries well and with a very smooth consistency. She doesn't use ice in hers. I've read reviews that it's common for most personal blenders to burn up (smoke) if overworked (ice) so I bought the 4year warranty for $5. Paying 20 bucks for a blender that actually lasts 4 years is a great bargain these days when nothing is made very well, regardless of the price - so I'm happy. She loves the bottle, replacement bottles are affordable, blender is easy to use and intuitive, small & doesn't take up tons of counter space.

Chronicles of My Blender Experience

Chronicles of my blender experience: I've owned a blender for as long as I can remember. I love smoothies and shakes. And I tend to cling to a blender when I've gorged on food 9 times too many and need to focus on clean eating for a while (i.e. diet). I've always had a giant one enough to make smoothies for 4-6 as it's used for the family. It's always been a hassle to clean around the blade. And taking a smoothie with me requires an extra step of pouring it into another bottle. If I just want to make a small smoothie for myself, it seemed like a lot of work. So I bought another individual small blenders a few years ago. The product was so underwhelming that I forgot the brand. It looked like my big blender but miniature size and I can make an individual smoothie with it. It died on me within a few months. I then went try the BlenderBottle, which was a craze at the time and I see everyone with one. Personally, I didn't like it. It's just a plastic bottle with a metal ball. The bottle wasn't high quality and always felt flimsy to me. The metal ball was no magic ball and didn't do anything in terms of blending. Even a simple powder and almond milk tasted super clumpy. So in a week, it was demoted to obscurity... I don't even remember where it went. Maybe storage in the garage. I've went back to my big blender since then but don't use it as much as I want to. I recently stumbled upon this blender and decided to purchase. I've had this blender for about 10 days so far and now can't see myself without it. It's super convenient and perfect for those needing a smoothie or shake on the go. And the blade is small and easy to clean. It takes me a few minutes to make a smoothie and I'm out the door.It's also the perfect blender for one. I like that there are individual bottles for sale so the whole family can have individual bottles to use. Since I received mine, I've been using it to make a smoothie right before I head out the door. It's also perfect for going to the gym. I like the shape of this as it's thin and tall and saves me space on the kitchen counter. It sits nicely nice to my giant blender and doesn't take up much space. The bottle also looks durable and easy to carry around. Highly recommended!

Excellent addition to van/RV living

I love this little blender. I purchased it for use in my camper van because I love getting extra healthy fruits and veggies in via smoothie. The simplicity and compact size of this blender is what won me over and it has proven to be a solid choice. It has enough power to blend fully frozen fruits with ease; I have not tried anything using ice but I imagine it would have a similar result - a smooth and fine puree. There is only one button - pulse - so I have to exact control over the process but that's fine with me. I don't need a big base with lots of fancy features, just a simple low wattage blender that easily blends frozen fruits and seems like it will stand the test of time. To boot it's fairly easy to clean - just don't leave the rubber/plastic top covered with smoothie for too long or it may dry into some hard-to-reach crevices. This has been a great addition to my van and added lots of easy and accessible calories to my diet. Hooray!
