I'm a keyboard player in a band, and when I purchased a new keyboard stand, I realized that the stand I purchased is limited in accessories - like a laptop stand. When I saw the Mobotron computer stand, I knew it would be the perfect solution! My next problem was trying to find a way to mount it onto the actual stand. I then saw the Adjustable Mounting Clamps. I actually ordered 2 sets, just in case, but this product is SOLID! I was concerned about the stability until I mounted it, and WOW(!)... Totally stable. Great product!

I've had this in my new Nissan Frontier for a year now, it works great. I got the stabilizer & recommend you do the same. Its strong metal, one you get it into a perfect spot, just leave the middle clamp halfway closed and you can pull / push it over your lap when you are ready to use your laptop without fiddling with the adjustment clamps anymore. I researched alot of mounts, this one was a perfect choice. Anything cheaper is not worth buying.

I purchased the MS-526 because I have several Amateur Radio rigs that I just couldn't foresee fitting very well in my '02 4Runner. Didn't want to do any "fabrication" to the dash area so the Mobotron mount seemed like the only way to go. I have a President HR2600 and a Yaesu FT-2900R stacked on top of each other. The mount is loaded down to a little over maximum capacity but it handles most bumps just fine. Adhere to the weight limit, or else you risk having the mount topple over and dump your expensive electronics on the floor! Utilize the various clamp downs on top of the tray table to secure your devices! The support arms for the tray table are very solid. Each joint has teeth that lock into each other, and levers to clamp it all together tightly. I have full faith that the mount will be able to handle anything thrown at it. You won't be able to make big adjustments to it on the fly. You'll have to pull over for that. The tray table is the only part that you can safely move around fast. (I don't condone taking your focus off vehicle operation.) The tray table material feels a little more cheaply made than the rest of the mount. The plastic seems thick enough though, and will do it's job to hold up your devices. The table has a lot of securing options with the adjustable little swing arms. As you can see in the pictures, I was able to safely attach two ham radios on the top deck with a little bit of ingenuity! The adjustable arms have thumb screws to tighten each arm down. Make sure they're screwed in tight, or else they'll vibrate off. Lastly, the table is mounted to the support arms by a thick metal post that inserts into the bottom of the table, and is tightened to the post by a metal adjustment rod. You can loosen the the adjustment rod to rotate the whole table 180 degrees, however the table sits on top of the post so tight that I find it difficult to turn. With the rod loosened, you can also tilt the table to the side left or right. Overall, very happy with this purchase. If you want the option of having the telescoping support, I'd go with this one. If not, buy the cheaper one!

This mount is a quick and easy install, what takes a little time is adjusting it to your vehicle and to suit your personal needs. I could not access my seat track bolt, so I used the adapter to mount it on the end of the seat rail as suggested. It took @ 15 min. to get the base attached good and tight and who knows how long to move and adjust the whole thing to where I wanted it. This mount is quite flexible as to where you can place it. I was surprised that as stout as it's made that it still bounced a little bit when the car was moving but I haven't seen one yet that doesn't. I bought the optional brace but haven't decided yet if I'm going to use it. What I did do is adjust the mount where the last elbow rests on top of the center console and put a small piece of foam under it so as not to allow any wear. VERY stable now! I love the way the bottom and side retainers adjust to keep the computer in place; I can assure you it's not going anywhere. There is an option of buying additional fixtures to hold your screen in place but my HP notebook doesn't need it. THE ABSOLUTE BEST PART is how quickly I can remove the entire mount with one release lever and in one piece without disturbing the position I set it in. Monday morning I can put it back, in literally 10 seconds and I'm ready to go. Worth your money!

This device is awesome! I put this on the passenger side of my Subaru Outback to use with my Acer Aspire One (Z5G). With a load of other items in the car as well, I can put the laptop where I need it and lock it down. If I need to move the computer, it is as easy as moving a couple of clamps and your done. The only thing I don't like about it is the options you have if you need to remove the computer. First option is to rove the pivot assembly for the platform which makes the laptop bulky. Second is to remove the four screws under the platform which is used to house the USB fan. If you loose any of those screws it is going to be difficult to replace them. I am planning on building a locking slide plate assembly which will make my particular mounting extremely user friendly. CAUTION: This system is very easy to remove quickly from your vehicle. If you plan to make it a permanent installation consider changing out a bunch of knob screws with security screws as well as changing out the clamp assemblies to nuts and bolts to make it harder to disassemble. NOTE: if you have a vibration issue I recommend getting the extension support.

Blown away with the quality!! I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually, and needed to have my MacBook accessible for viewing excel sheets, e-mails, etc. on the go. I bought this along with the telescoping support brace and from the time ordered, to the time Amazon had it in my hands was less than 24 hours, WOW! As far as the quality goes, I am very impressed. There is a huge range as far as adjustments to get it just the way I wanted it, along with fitting the laptop in the tray. I have a heavy truck, and that means stiff suspension. It does shake a bit when going over bumpy roads, but nowhere near unbearable. Another thing that may help some people, is that I was worried the bass (3 JL Audio 10" subs) would shake my laptop's internals. For some reason, everything in my truck shapes, EXCEPT for this mount which I was very pleased with. For the price of this thing, the set-up being so easy, and the add-on items depending on what you need, this is definitely worth the purchase!

I bought this for my husband who is a telephone tech. He was getting a pain in his neck and upper back from looking over in the passenger seat at his laptop. So I found him this great laptop holder. He loves it and I can't believe we didn't buy him one sooner. It's very sturdy in his Toyota Tacoma truck and moves easily when a passenger get in.

Phenomenal product. My husband is more mechanically inclined than I am so he was able to install it in a snap. We did have to use some larger bolts that we had due to the seat not having it’s bolt far enough forward to mount the stand to but it was an easy fix. The flexibility of multiple adjustment points makes this perfect for my on the go job and I am able to have a completely mobile office.

Thank you Mobotron. This has been the best laptop stand that I have found for our sales fleet. This stand is easy to mount, easy to breakdown (collapses down out of site) and remove from vehicle. The base is solid, the laptop tray is good quality. No drilling required.

A little flimsy when fully extended. Make sure you are mounting to a solid base. If you are using a heavy computer buy their additional brace. It makes a big difference. I found out the hard way. But massively adjustable and will fit almost anything. I am typing on it now. Easily adjustable to be used from the driver or passenger seat of my ambulance. Good value for the price. I would buy it again.
