This is a fantastic fire pit. Skip all the bad reviews from the uppity prudes that expect the world but refuse to pay for it. It is a fully functional fire pit that gives off the ambiance that it was bought for. Once it has burned for a few hours and is down to embers I put an old grill grate inside for cooking late night munchies after having a few cold ones. hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages, nothing fancy but is satisfying and fun.

Working great. I took an old grate from an expired gas grill, put it over the top of this firepit and we can use this fireplace to cook outside (hotdogs, hamburgers, the sort) if we want. The little handle that is provided to lift the hot cover is a bit absurd (use a hot pad/oven mitt) but ... otherwise we've had no complaints with this outdoor fireplace.

Definitely a lot larger than I realized, probably because it's square. Set up was easy with a screwdriver and socket wrench. There are raised brackets for the wood to sit on so air can circulate under the fire. The cover is a nice, free addition, the poker/lid lifter not so much. Two things to note: While the bottom has mesh to trap embers from escaping, the top does not. I may add my own in the future. The feet are relatively sharp metal with no padding. They should probably be bent into an L so it doesn't mar the surface underneath. As this is on my concrete patio I don't care, but you might.

It's held up really well. I've used it very very often. I've had it for a few months. I'm super glad I purchased it. I don't know how well it holds up through the years but it's been so nice having this, that even if I had to replace it every other year, I'd still buy it. The kids love it for marshmallows and I love it when I have friends over for cigars and scotch during the winter. And it's a really good size. I've had large and small fires on it and this pit handles them well. I live in so.cal so our winters aren't terrible - nor are the elements here. So it should hold up better than somewhere where it snows and rains a lot.

Got this for my now husband on our first Christmas together. We love it! During the winter we always have a fire lit. The covering is okay, not the best. The only thing I'd suggest for future buyers, if it rains a lot where you live and this is going to be staying outside constantly, spray something on it to prevent rust. Our's is currently super rusty on the bottom and needs to be sanded and repainted with some rust-resistant spray so just save yourselves the trouble of doing it later and do it when you get it.

So, I was hesitant to order something like this online. I was thinking that it looks good on the screen, but would it look good on my patio. I am happy to say YES! I love this thing! First, it is SUPER easy to put together. All you have to do is fasten 10 screws with a simple phillips driver--I used my cordless impact, but you could easily do it by hand--and that it is. Super slick! I know that some folks think that they are "not handy," but with this you do not need to be. Secondly, it is a very good size for a campfire. It can easily accommodate six adults sitting around it with their favorite beverages. Let me put it this way--you know those bundles of firewood you can get from the gas station or grocery store? This will fit the whole bundle if you stack them in their correctly. If you don't want a huge fire, that is no problem either. Use as much or as little as you want, but if you are going to buy those bundles, I would recommend purchasing at least 2 of them if you want a fire to last the entire evening. The cover for this thing is GREAT! It is not the best material, and I don't know if it will last the test of time, but I will update on that if I need to. It is a form fitting cover that actually looks pretty darn sexy on the firepit when it is not in use. Plus, it cinches at the bottom for a tight fit that will keep the rain and snow out, which will help this thing last a LONG time without rust. Oh, speaking of rust--empty out the ashes when they cool to prevent rusting. The "poker" is pretty useless as a poker, but it is really slick for removing the the mesh cover when it is hot. That is what I use it for anyway. Other than that, it is somewhat useless. I ordered a log grabber from Amazon that I will link to below. Seems to do the job very nicely! All in all, I really think that this is a great product. Would I recommend it to a friend? Absolutely! Would I purchase it again? In a heartbeat. Initial take: Just used this for the first time last night - and love it so far. NOW .... it has to NOT rust and hold up over time. But initially, it's fantastic. Building it was super easy. I sprayed it with ultra high heat rustoleum - which will hopefully help! The look is great. Everything seems like good quality. I love the size - it's big enough that I didn't have to break branches down to small pieces to fit them in without them hanging over the edges. I almost went with a circular one, but I like that if you have a piece of wood going corner to corner, it can be pretty long. I'm also putting some seam sealer and weather sealant on the cover. It feels like its vinyl and may not last too long - especially out in the elements. But we'll see.

Really the perfect size fit pit. It's not very big, but its not also "small." There is a lot of value to the lid and also the cover. I would argue this is your best bang for your buck in terms of a sturdy fire pit with some accessories to keep it away from bad weather (rain, salt snow). Over time I will rust because its steel. I am concerned that the hardware will rot out with use, the screws that mount the base-plate to the basin of the pit should be stainless steel and they did not appear to be. That will be an issue if you get this thing really hot a number of times. Those issues are minor and do not take away from this being a great product and nice addition to any backyard. I have mine over a large bed of river rock.

Just got this yesterday. Not sure on the wear & tear of it...but it's really nice to look at! Seems to be made with high quality materials....I didn't have any issues setting it up. Really easy & beautiful on my new patio! My one issue I had was the box that it was shipped in. Packages have been stolen a lot in my neighborhood...and there was NO covering up what this was. Thankfully with the text message alert, I was able to run home and stick it inside. It is shipped in the actual packaging....with a huge picture and description of what it is. Wishing it was a little more discreet. Just a warning for those who might have a stolen parcel problem in their neighborhood.

Absolutely love this fire pit! Bought this a few months ago and use almost every night. We drilled a few holes at the bottom for better air flow. But other than that couldnt be happier with this! Comes with a great cover too! Very elegant looking as well. Highly recommend!!! Recieved lots of compliments.
