Not really much to say. This is the cartridge that fits my filter. They keep the water clean and my fish aren't dead.

I like getting these in bulk. They are often out of the larger pack but this works great for me. I have 7 large goldfish in one tank and they are messy. I have two pumps which I change every 4 weeks or so, depending on conditions. I've found I can actually take them out and rinse them off after the first week or two as it's just a build up and the filter is not really bad. This adds a little extra usage for me. I would recommend them.

This is the cartridge that is specifically made for use by the aqueon filter of its size. I have found that it really is the best one to use. I purchased a generic cartridge that claimed to be the same quality, but a better price. It wasn't same quality. In this case, and most cases, the cartridge made by the manufacturer is going to be best. Don't be fooled by the generic. They will cost you more in the end. Either by frequent changes, or poor filtration and loss of fish due to stress

Great price for the filters. It comes with a starter filter. This is a good filter. I have a 15 gallon and this supports up to 20 gallon. This is my second one. First still works but the latch on the pump portion comes loose and I broke the down spout. This new filter actually looks better. It has a spot for a new specialty pad area you can choose with 3 different filters, ammonia reducer, carbon or phosphate remove. It also as an indicator light to let you know the filter pad needs to be changed. Great price. Takes medium filters.

These cartridges keep my fish tank very clean. The only negative comment is that you cannot buy them where you assemble the cartridge yourself like Tetra has. The per cartridge price is higher because it is preassembled versus Tetra but you get what you pay for and these are excellent.

Can't beat the price by buying through Amazon. These would cost 2 -3X this price if I were to buy at the local pet stores. We have 3 fish tanks, 2 of them (25 gallon and 10 gallon) use Aqueon filters, so we buy these regularly. As far as filters go, they do a great job, we change them out 1X per month (minimum) and the water stays clear and free of smells for the most part. This is longer than recommended on the product, but it seems to work just fine. The only thing that would make this better would be offering them in the "Subscribe and Save" program.

I'm using this filter on a tank with a red-eared slider, so there's considerably more waste production than what you find in most aquariums. I have to say it's impressed me. When using the Aqueon vs the ReptoFilter rated for the same gallon coverage, there is absolutely no contest. The tank with the ReptoFilter becomes cloudy, and I clean the filter. In a few days, it happens again. By the time the Aqueon needs to be changed, the ReptoFilter has been cleaned until it was falling apart and then replaced! They do cost a bit more if you use the Bio Bag Unassembled version of the ReptoFilter; however, it's more than worth the price when you realize the Aqueon will last 2 to 4 times as long! It's been over a month since the last time I changed the Aqueon filter, and the water in that slider's tank is crystal clear with no algae buildup.

I have been using the Aqueon Filter Cartridges for several years now. I have found not to mess with success when I have healthy fish and a balanced aquarium. I attribute the longevity of my fish to their healthy environment created, in part, by the Aqueon filters. So easy to use! Sure you can make your own, but this is a breeze! I use the Subscribe and Save option here at Amazon for the best price around!

Works as advertised. One tip i have is to not throw away a cartilage after one use, just rinse it out under tap (I know it'll kill the beneficial bacteria but there should be a bio holster that you are putting the cartilage into, that already holds plenty of beneficial bacteria) and then plunge the cleaned cartilage into conditioned water to rinse out the tap. Then you can just put it right back into the water filter and it'll be good as new. I re-use one cartilage many times until I feel like I abused the heck out of one cartilage and it's finally due for a new one.

I tried to buy the 3 pack from my local pet store where I always buy them, they no longer carry the 3 pack and I didn't want to buy a 12 pack, so I looked elsewhere to purchase them. I am very glad I did, because these are the exact same ones I usually buy and at a much better price. I will definitely buy again.
