Fan works great in our tiny living room! Light is kind of dim which is great for just hanging out, but will need a second light source if trying to do anything that needs attention to detail. Also, it has been very quiet, many other reviews say it can be noisy so I was happy mine is not.

Pros: Easy to install Reverseable fan blades Moves a lot of air Quiet Lightweight Cons: Wobbles when pushing air (not when pulling) As long as you know basic house wiring, this is an extremely easy fan to install. The wires are extra-long (I wound up trimming 2 feet of wire), which could be useful depending on where/how you're hanging it. I have this installed in the bedroom of a small 1-br apartment (a little over 500sq/ft), and it is powerful enough to create a mild cross-current, so I'm extremely happy with the performance. In addition, it is far more quiet than the box fan I have, so I have no worries about having it run overnight. Takes G16 light bulbs, so there really isn't enough room in there to install remote-controlled LED bulbs. So what you get is a handsome, effective ceiling fan that is hard to beat for the price.

Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous to order this after seeing some of the other reviews mentioning inconsistent quality and a loudly-running motor. Let's face it. No fan is going to be silent for this price, but it's definitely not loud by any means. It has a nice gentle whir (on all three speeds) and moves the air quite well. The 40w bulbs are a bit of a bust - not the brightest - but if you swap them out to CFLs you're fine since they use a lower wattage and put out WAY more light (40w incandescent = less than 10w CFL typically). It's an easy fix. I can't say if it was easy to install or not as the maintenance people at my condo did it for me, but I didn't get a letter indicating their disgust and annoyance with it so I'm sure it went up without a hitch. No shakiness or anything, so either they did an excellent job or else the people who complained about this in the reviews did something wrong. My guess is a combination of both. All in all, this is a great fan for the price. Looks great, works great, IS great. I'd definitely recommend it and would buy it again in a heartbeat.

This 42” fan is perfect for my smaller guest bedroom (Definitely wouldn’t use this size in a large room). I didn’t realize the blades were reversible- I bought it thinking I’d use the ‘pine’ color, but ended up using the charcoal side. Installation was easy. Other reviews have mentioned it’s noisy, but I don’t think so. There is a subtle hum— I personally like it for sleeping. Not the brightest light, but enough for a small room. Light cover seems sturdy— don’t think it’s going anywhere. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase for the price I paid!

i love this ceiling fan. A beautiful modern looking fan. My husband and father installed it together so it was very simple to do between the two of them. It took them maybe 30 minutes (but we had to even paint the ceiling a tad because this fans base was a little smaller than the last). The cord had to be trimmed but that wasn’t a problem. No wobbling at all whatsoever. I honestly have not messed with the remote/dimming because i like the full brightness in these dark winter days. Overall i love this fan.

These are good. They don't put out a ton of air, but for what they are they work well. TIP: these probably won't provide enough light for you. But just buy a hundred watt LED candelabra bulb which won't provide too much heat for these, and use that instead of the included bulb.

This is a great little fan and I've bought two of them for my small second floor bedrooms, both between 120 and 140 square feet. I like that the blades are reversible for different decor. I went with the darker, wengue wood side. The fan itself puts out a good amount of air, and the light seems adequate for a bedroom. I have very 80's textured ceiling so I like that when the light is on it de-emphasizes the texture since it hangs lower than a traditional light fixture. My one complaint is how much the whole thing swings when you pull the light and fan chains, but can be alleviated somewhat by holding the glass with one hand while you pull the chain with the other. Many fans have the ball style mount these days so it's not anything that out of the ordinary. There is a mild hum from the motor while the fan is running, but again, that's very common to electric motors. When you have the fan on high the sound of air moving is much louder than the hum in my opinion. I was on the fence about the 3 blades, as I prefer a 5 blade fan. After living with it for a while it doesn't bother me at all. For the price this fan is definitely a fantastic value. If you go to the big box stores you'll pay twice as much for the same or worse quality. It's also difficult to find these more modern designs for a reasonable price in stores.

first, I had this fan in 24hours which made me super happy. I love the dark metallic metal look on this fan. We haven't tried the light yet because it isn't too necessary in the room we put it in but the frosted glass will help to defuse some of the light when we do purchase upgraded bulbs. The instructions could have been a little more helpful, they were long and lacking where needed for 1st time installers but we eventually got it up. The biggest issue was making everything fit into the old electrical box with short wires luckily we still had the old screws because these were not going to work in our current electrical box. A few DIY troubleshooting items and we had it up in a couple hours.

great fan. this is my 4th ceiling fan installation, so i guess i'm sort of a pro, and this thing went up pretty quickly. the mounting hardware is pretty standard for any "downrod" type fan. pros: - moves a good amount of air - the 2 candelabra bulbs are brighter than i expected (but could still be a little brighter) - pull chains have a "medallion" (disc) on the end, with a design so you know which is for the light and which is for the fan speed cons: - could be a little quieter, this is probably the loudest of all my ceiling fans. but this is relative, it's installed in the bedroom, so it's not so loud as to be a problem. - blades attach to the "top" of the motor housing, so they have to be attached, prior to mounting the motor. as such, they do tend to sort of get in the way as you're connecting the wires and securing the mount housing

Excellent ceiling fan. Disregard fire claims as that was an old revision of this fan. If for some reason you receive a unit with a bulb rated more than 40 watts, just purchase a 40 watts bulb or the LED bulb of your choice. It was not the unit itself but the bulb included. Anything else in this fan is just perfect including the price. Don't purchase this unit to third party vendors just fromAmazon or Prime vendors.
