I have a tremendous collection of different drops, all with 2" balls. My open car hauler is a 2 5/16, on my old truck I had previously used my load leveling hitch without the bars, but noticed the rear of my trailer was dragging with my new truck. It sits higher! This got the trailer level again (lower at the tongue), tows better, no dragging. I've ended up just leaving it installed for my 2" needs, only comes off when I need load leveling for big stuff.

Product is built better than a brick sh&*(*(*. Solid shank, beefy welds. After buying a new boat and trailer I needed a different height than my utility trailer that hauls by side by side. Should have done this a long time ago. Why tow two expensive toys around with a $30.00 Harbor Freight drop hitch and live in fear every time you hit a bump in the road. Yes it's heavy but separate the two pieces and it's easier. Can't go wrong here. I did spend the extra on the locks since I partk trailers at public places when using either. Price together still comes in best in its class.

The model I chose is way more than I will ever tow on a hitch, but it is nice and solid! I added a bolt and 2 nuts to replicate the threaded bolt hole the more expensive one arrives with to act as a jam nut. It works just as good.

Bought it to pull my 10' hydraulic dump trailer and smaller 32hp trackloader (2,200lbs trailer/ 3,500lb trackloader). Pulls it with ease, I drive it to and from a hunter property of mine 6hrs drive one way up steep tight turning roads. Never had any issues with it, adjustments are spot on to allow me to add the weight precisely how I prefer to load balance it (slight tongue heavy). For the price it hands down a no brainer. I wanted something that looked sexy then came to my senses with this, would buy 100 more times.

Very heavy duty adjustable mount. I think the truck will break before this mount would. Can't wait to give it a try. I am using on a Silverado 1500 and is likely more capacity than I will ever need, but at some point I will upgrade the vehicle. I also bought the Trimax TH43 lock set to lock the ball to the mount and the mount to the truck. Fits well (meaning the locks are long enough) and is also a available at a great price like this Curt mount. With the Curt 45900 you will have a very heavy duty mount that will likely last forever, just don't drop it on your foot - it is a very heavy piece of steel (25-30 lbs)!

I bought this hitch and received it the next day. I couldnt belive it..fast shipping for sure. Then I installed and I got rear ended by a ford taurus the following day. This hitch was litterally buried to the radiator in that car. When I peeled my truck off that ford, the opposite ball hanging down ripped their front bumper almost completely off. I inspected the hitch thoroughly and no damage at all to it. Simply awesome! Later that week I hooked to my travel trailer a towed with it 3500 miles without a single hitch...pun intended. This hitch is beefy, tough, designed well and built to the hilt. I wish they had a weight distribution and antisway hitch built like this...id buy it in a new york second. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who needs a rapid adjustable hitch with 2" & 2 5/16" balls without weight distribution. If you nave a 1 7/8" hitch Id look elsewhere.

I bought a Curt hitch for my duramax earlier this year and you couldn't beat the price quality or fit and finish. Same was the case with this ball mount. It seems Curt makes some heavy duty stuff for the money. Mine didn't come with the adjustment screw for rattle like some mentioned in their reviews. Instead it came with a rubber button pushed into the threaded holes so you could still go to the hardware store and buy a 1/2-13 bolt if the rubber ever failed but the rubber seems heavy duty. Also the rubber is easier to move from on bolt hole to the other without any tools and doesn't need to be adjusted depending on what holes you have the ball in. Only thing is that this thing screams steal me so the lock set offered may be a good investment if you aren't going to take it out when not in use. In my case my truck is pulling a trailer more often then not so I'm not going to worry about it. One side note I'd like to make is that Curt rates the tongue weight on their products which is handy and alot of extra piece of mind. I wasn't able to find a similar product with a rating for tongue weight which could be a problem considering I like to run a good bit of tongue weight on my dually.

This is an excellent hitch. Very heavy and stout. The picture does not do it justice, I was very pleased when I opened the box. Great price as well compared to others out there. Yeah it does rattle in the hitch if you are not towing anything but what insert doesn't?

This thing is heavy duty! I purchase this hitch because I frequently towed very close to the max on my other 7k standard reese hitch you can buy from anywhere. Immediately when you open the box you will notice this thing is three times the weight of a regular hitch, however it's not to heavy to maneuver or anything like that. Personally this is something I appreciated, this is a stupid thing to have fail on your rig if your towing anything. Something I noticed that I didn't really expect, before I put a mild lift on my truck was this liked to hit/scrape the ground if you were taking a steep driveway or left a driveway to fast. This was really unexpected since my then stock Ram 1500 sits rather high from the factory. I could of solved this problem by flipping it over but then it would of hit my tailgate instead of the pavement. I tow enough that I don't often take my hitch off the receiver. I will say that even after having it scrap the pavement for a few months before installing my lift kit there is barely a ding on it. One last thing to note is buy the CURT lock kit for it, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006MDH3KY/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_49. I had a different style lock before and it wasn't long enough to go through and lock the ball to the hitch. With the Curt set you get two locks with one key!

I really like this hitch setup. I pull a variety of different trailers between work and play but this hitch has me covered. It's super easy to adjust heights and covers a wide range as you can flip it up or down. I ordered a combo with 2" ball and 2-5/16 ball, and a 2-5/16 Pintel. They are also available in 2.5" hitch receiver. Support angle is short keeping the hitch close to receiver helping to reduce tongue weight and has 2 holes in receiver if you want or need it to come out further. The hitch costs but it is a well made product.
