Perfect for 2-5 year olds

I purchased this set for my 2.5 year old and she LOVES it! It's just adorable and has cute little green flower plates underneath each cup. It's a perfect starter tea set. My only complaint is that there are a lot of pieces (just like any tea set) thus it gets old picking it all up often but that's simply life with kids :).

This is a Christmas gift for my granddaughter, so she hasn't gotten it yet, but I know she will love it. The size is perfect, and the pieces can actually be used, i.e., filled with milk or juice. Children like to actually use their tea sets and many I looked at were not made for real use. I have also found that you usually can't go wrong with things made by "Melissa & Doug".

Buy this, you won't be sorry!

My 2 year old daughter cannot put this set down. For the last 3 days she has obsessively played with the set. She has to take a nap with one of the cups and has to take some of the set into the bath. It is a gorgeous set and I already love the Melissa and Doug toys (their customer service is phenomenal BTW) and I was drawn to the set over others because the decorations are painted on- essential for my sticker peeling off obsessed child. The set is so much more beautiful than the pictures do it justice. This will be one of the few toys I probably save for life (for my kids' kids :-)) my daughter doesn't really "take care" of her toys yet since she just turned two, but with this set she has to have it all out together and everything in its place- she is definitely taking pride in this toy!

Time for tea

My daughter absolutely loves this. I had originally purchased this to be a Christmas present and was going to hide it with the other gifts I have already gotten her, but when she got sick and was out of school almost 2 weeks, I decided to give it to her early to help perk her up. I didn’t want her to just sleeping and watching tv while home sick. I wanted her to be able to use her imagination and we have had lots of fun tea parties together since.

She has enjoyed it so much

I bought this a year ago for my granddaughter who was 1 1/2 years old at the time. She has enjoyed it so much... always serving us "tea". So I bought it for a dear friend's granddaughter hoping she will enjoy it as much as my granddaughter. It is safe to put water and juice in it which is a big plus... and it is adorable!

Cute and well made!

This teapot is super cute! It's perfect size for my 2 and 6 year old. It's pretty well made, not cheap plastic. One of the reviews says that the saucers aren't usable and the cups don't sit on them, but I don't have this problem at all. They sit fine on the saucers, when they're full or empty. Overall super happy with this set!

I'm very satisfied with my purshased. This tea set is perfect for very little girls I can't believe how nice looking it's and how very resistant it's the material use to make this tea set; (quite strong) my daugther trow one of the cup against the hard wood floor, I was afraid that was the end of that cup, but nothing happen to the tea cup. I love all the details. I love that we can use water, juice or milk on it; the real stuff and my kids wouldn't be poison. My boys are looking forward to have a tea party with their baby sister if I let them use soda instead of milk and real cookies of course. I can't way for our family tea party. I can see Many tea party adventures in my daughter future. I'm very happy! Great product at great price.

Great fun purchase!

This is a great tea set. We used the Simply Raspberry Lemonade (pink) and the teapot held about half of the container. That's quite a lot. The sugar bowl held raspberries that we added to our tea. The creamer was used for younger sister to pour tea as well. The plates (saucers) we used to hold our Snickerdoodle cookies. Saucers are about the size of my palm. It is not dishwasher safe and the inside of the pots have a lot of crevices, so wash after using. Very cute. Both kids loved, but my son did say "why is it pink?" He is the one who wanted a tea party. I guess they should make a green gender neutral one (or I should look for one). Great purchase.

Can’t Beat Melissa & Doug

Someone had bought my 4 & 3 year old a cute glass tea set. While it was pretty, I kept waiting for the day when one of them would accidentally break one of them. Sure enough, that day came soon enough, so I got on amazon to find a plastic set. When I found this Melissa & Doug set, I was beyond excited. I love all things Melissa and Doug. My 4 year old had been upset that her little sister had broke one of the pieces and now mommy was getting rid of all of them. But when mommy hid the new tea set in plain sight for her to find, she was thrilled to bring it to me and asked me to open it right away.
