Hate ironing?

First of all, I hate ironing. I bought this item in hopes of making my ironing easier and hopefully more enjoyable. I have to say I am very happy with my purchase. I can't say that I love ironing, but it seems i get my ironing done quicker and the pleats in my pants are crisper than with my regular iron. When pressing shirts I position the shirt, put the lid down, press the steam button, lift the lid back up and presto that part of the shirt is wrinkle free. I reposition the shirt and repeat the process. I don't have to keep moving an iron back and forth, just lower the lid and then I am done. The Ironing Steam Press includes a few "free" items but I didn't receive the water container used for filling the water tank. It's not necessary, but it would be nice to have.

Great machine

Works very well, I love the integrated sleeve board. I pressed 14 pairs of trousers in 30 minutes to test it out. I agree with a previous review that you have to hang on to the handle when you open it or it jumps up on the table. Also, that the opening is tight when positioning clothes towards the back - I burned my knuckles.

What a great compact garmet press

What a great compact garmet press. I make table runners that require well defined creases, this machine does that and more. I received very specific instructions on the steam option. The setting needs to be on cotton or linen for the steam option to engage. Make sure you raise the handle slightly when using the steam option.

Well built and sturdy

I was worried I would pay a lot of money and get something shaky and cheap. This unit is well designed and sturdy under use. I don't often write a review, but because I had these concerns, thought I'd quell any fears someone else might share.

Practice makes it perfect

I liked it a lot...just need practice especially with sleeve attachment. Makes quick work of pants

Large press surface is a big plus

I bought this to replace a similar press that I had for many years. The surface is much larger which makes the pressing more efficient. The improved steam with choice of function is nice, it was only manual on the old press. Nice it came with an extra pad as they do wear out. I am a little concerned about supply of new pads. The heat and functionality of this is similar to my old press. To speak to the old reviews, yes you have to watch where you put your hands so as not to burn them but not a negative as you adapt.

This thing is amazing. We use it at least one a week for slacks and dress shirts. It takes some practice but it is definitely worth it. Packaging was fine and it arrived as promised.

Dry pressing for fusing interfacing

Love this machine. It is easy to use and gets the job done perfectly. We are using it to fuse interfacing on polyester fabric and use the cotton setting which is hot enough and safe to use with the interfacing fabric. We did have trouble turning it on using our fingers but use our fingernail now or the back of a pen and lightly tap the on/off button and it is working perfectly. David was very nice and helpful and was ready to replace the machine for us when I was having trouble turning it on. I have not used it to steam press yet because we need it for fusing, but I can't wait to try it.

Great machine, great customer service

This is a fantastic board. You do need to purchase the stand. But, the combination stand and board are unbeatable and a must have if you do any ironing at all. Quick to set up, quick to heat and operate, and quick to break down and put away. I was missing the bolts with the stand and informed the seller. He was in constant contact with me to ensure I received the bolts and followed up with me personally to check to see if I was happy with the product. One cannot ask for better customer service. The best thing I like, wow, what a great, sharp crease on my pants.

excellent

Bought the large model and it is excellent, heats up quickly and really gets the job done fast. The large model let's me put a good crease in to pants as well. Highly recommended, glad I didn't go with a cheaper unit.
