I ordered this for my husband. We have a printer that ceased working properly. We went out and bought another one to replace it. My husband picked this cleaning kit for me to order in hopes of repairing the old printer and setting it up in the basement. Last weekend he used this kit and restored our old printer to a fully functioning state by following the directions in the kit. If your printer is acting up, I recommend trying this product to see if it can return your printer to working status again. It beats buying a new one!

My clogged Epson XP-950 was in such a bad shape that attempting to use the printer's head cleaning utility just made it worse. Every time I tried to clean using the printer utility another color stopped printing. For reference I am using genuine Epson ink cartridges. In came this head cleaning kit. I removed the ink cartridges and wrapped them in plastic wrap so they won't dry out or leak. Inserted a folded paper towel under the print head and using the syringe I dripped 2 ml of the warmed up cleaner in each print head pad (this printer doesn't have nozzles). I moved the head along the paper towel few times and then let it sit like this until next day. Next day I removed the paper towel which at this point was completely soaked with ink, reinstalled the ink cartridges and ran a test print. Prints like new!

I have 4 HP OfficeJet Pro printers models 8600, 8610, 8620, all of which use the same print head. The print heads hold the ink cartridges and move side to side while printing. On one of the 8610 printers the cyan would not print all. These print heads are easy to remove from the printer. I injected heated fluid through all 4 colors/nozzles and I did allow the print head to soak for about an hour. It now prints perfectly! I doubt I used a quarter of the fluid so there is plenty left if I ever need to do one of the other printers. There is recycled ink at a great price for this series of HP printers. I hated to buy a new printer and most likely find out recycled cartridges were not available for it.

Local service tech said that the printer was not worth having them diagnose, repair, or clean the printhead. Said new unit was better value. This $33.00 kit saved my printer. Directions were easy to follow and the job was less messy than I thought it might be. Well worth the price to rescue an otherwise fully functioning All-in-One Printer. I will use this unit more often now because it is far less expensive than using my color laser printer. Printhead Hospital has saved me the cost of a new printer.

Great product! I got it in hopes of restoring an HP3520 that was idle for over a year without cartridges. It was very crusty at the start and no black print at all. Three days later (letting the solution soak overnight) the printer works like new, even photographs. I have several other ink jet printers in similar condition and will be cleaning those later, provided I can still get cartridges for them. Thanks Andrew and team!

I rarely do product reviews as there are generally so many that it would be irrelevant. In this case, this product deserves five stars. I first tried the product on a Canon i80 portable printer that had not been used for more than a year. Canon no longer supports the i80, so I could not buy a new printhead. The Printhead Hospital kit cleaned out the printhead on the second try - after I followed directions. Then, I thought I would try to resurrect my Epson R1800 printer that had not been used for a long time. This time, I followed directions, heating the solution in boiling water and attaching the plastic tube directly to the 'nozzle' on the printhead. This was tougher to clean, and I used a full (small) bottle of fluid, but l finally won. The printhead is clean and back in service. I highly recommend this product.

If you are like me you buy a printer thinking you'll get years of use out of it. Then it stops printing reliably, leaving bands of white throughout the page. Using the printer's utility only helps for a short time. You look at replacements and realize that's going to hurt. So I tried cleaning the heads. Which made things worse actually (I made the mistake of using water and alcohol) At this point I was ready to junk the printer and buy a new one, when I found this cleaning kit. I thought $25 or 10 times as much for a new printer? I have all these ink cartridges that won't fit into anything modern (funny how that works?) so I opted to try to get further use out of it by trying the printer hospital. Well I am here to tell you, that despite my bonehead move to use alcohol, one shot of their product did the trick: I have run a printhead cleaning for days! Bravo to this company! My only request is that the directions could use a video. I was guessing what adaptor to use with my HP printer. The smaller green one I guessed on did the trick though. I recommend this if you rail at the obsolescence of printer lifetimes and supplies.

I used the Print Head Cleaning Kit in an attempt to resurrect my poor print quality of my Epson WF-3540. This print head cleaning kit worked very effectively on my color print heads. My black print head however, did not come back to life. I suspect that it was somehow damaged as no matter how many times I cleaned the print head, the "nozzle check" pattern always remained identical for the black print, yet the color print heads showed improvement after each time I flushed the heads until they were perfect. I contacted the seller and explained what I was seeing and they stood by their word on support. The kit has detailed instructions, is very easy to use and even comes with gloves to keep the ink off of your hands when messing with the insides. If your print heads are clogged - USE THIS PRODUCT!!

Purchased this with some trepidation, but thought I would give it a chance to save My HP Photosmart printer. Saw the video on YouTube and decided with the guarantee that if it did not solve the problem I would get a percentage of my money back. I saw that there were a lot of skeptical reviews on Amazon, hence my trepidation. I followed the included instructions and watched the video linked in the instructions. This worked. The $28.00 saved me the cost of buying a new printer. Much to my chagrin I threw away an HP printer that had the same problem a few months ago not knowing that there was a way to fix the problem. I did make one mistake, I put more than the recommended fluid through the port which flooded the printer. There is no need to do more than the recommended amount.

The shipping was fast and the kit is very complete with a clear set of instructions printed on a thick cardboard sheet. I had a bad clog on the cyan printhead that 25 cleaning cycles would not dislodge. I followed the instructions and within an hour my Brother large format printer was back in action.
