Was going to just buy a new shower head with a hose and was so happy when I found this hose replacement

Wish we would have thought to buy this sooner. Our OEM hose was plastic and cracked causing water to leak everywhere. Was going to just buy a new shower head with a hose and was so happy when I found this hose replacement. It is heavy duty stainless steel and really like the 8' length when we bathe our dogs and cleaning the tub/shower area. Doesn't get much better. Just bought another one for a friend who underwent foot surgery - she says she doesn't know how she would have been able to shower without it as it extends far enough for her to use.

So far, so good.

I was a little skeptical because of all the bad reviews, but I really need a hose that is longer than the five footer that came with my shower head, so I took a chance. It screws onto the head perfectly with no leaks. The only negative I have found so far is that the end piece is slightly smaller than the one that came with the head, so it's a little sloppy sitting in the cradle. But even though it's a little sloppy, it's still secure enough that I'm not concerned about it falling out, so I still give it five stars. If I encounter any of the problems that others have mentioned in their negative reviews, I'll update my review accordingly, but for now I couldn't be more pleased. UPDATE: It's been nearly three full years, and this hose is still going strong. I still haven't had a single bit of trouble with it. I would highly recommend it for anyone needing a long hose for their shower.

Works perfectly

I needed to add a new hand held shower, and the hose needed to be long enough so it could be used from the shower's seat. The one that came with the shower head wasn't long enough. I saw this and it was the exact length I needed. Now it's long enough for my elderly mom to use while seated. Plus I'm able to rest the shower head on a hook I attached to my shower's towel bar. Everything is now within easy reach. Installation was simple and straight forward. I highly recommend.

28 months and still working

I install mine on Jan 1, 2017 and I have use it at least once a day and still working as of 04_24_2019. The photos with one star that I saw is clear that most was install incorrectly. You must let the whole hose turn as you tighten the shower hose, if not it will brake as some photos show. Not a thing wrong with this shower hose it's the installer 100%

It’s not silver/chrome color, Love the length.

Got my order in time and well packaged. It took my while to to install since I’ve been busy this few weeks. I had lil time to install this weekend before I had the clean my bathroom. It worked great. It long and can lay down the shower while on pause mode. Not like my old one it would hanging and if I would forget to put it on pause mode and the water would go everywhere. It also helps me when I’m bathing my 4yr old son. The only think I was hoping that would be a in silver or chrome color but it turn out to be a satin color. It not that noticeable but I love the length.

Real Stainless Steel - Not Steel Looking Plastic Wrap

WOW - A superior product that actually is and does what it is advertised as and to do. So many of these "stainless steel" hose replacements are or refer to the screw on fitting ONLY as being stainless steel, while the "hose" itself is just a silver plastic wrapped around an inner rubber hose. This hose has stainless steel fittings, and flexible steel- I "think" wrapped around a reinforced rubber lining (based on other reviewers input - though not in the detail information on the product) - I just can not see this one failing. The extra length for which I was looking for is as advertised - a real winner. I removed my previous plastic hose applied some Teflon tape to my shower connector threads, and just hand tightened this one into place. No leaks, none, zero. I find no restricted water flow at all. Pros: Each stainless steel fitting is a cone shaped connector, this helps in re-leaving the stress point where the tube bends coming out of the fitting. Most other products have a longer cone shaped fitting on one end, and a stainless steel nut on the other not giving much bend strain relief at all. One end (the end you should attach to the shower head wand) has a recessed rubber O-ring, this is the part that fits into the shower wand holder and acts to hold the wand in place at a given angle or rotation. Without this, unless you have a tight fit the shower head wand will not stay in a placed position but move to the lowest center of gravity point. Cons: None that I can find or have found, though pricing on this tend to fluctuate a bit (not a product issue however) I purchased this in the $13 range, after receiving it and finding the quality I went to order another (same day as I received it) and found the seller was different, and the price was closer to $18. If and when it goes back down I will purchase the next one. Word to the wise, if you find this in the $13 range and need several, order them all at the same time. I would recommend this product to others, and will purchase another for my other shower.

Shower hose 80" stainless steel

Works like a charm, fit exactly, reaches far. I can take a bath and rinse off with the shower head when done. I can wash my dog now with lots of hose to get her all clean. I can use it as a beday(forgot how to spell it) if I wanted to. If you pop out the water restrictor you can get good water pressure if you don't think it is giving you enough. Love it and I didn't have to go to stupid Walmart, woohoo!!!

lightweight, good length

Lightweight, really flexible, sealed well, without leaks. I put a shut-off before the hose, makes it easy to stop, lather up, and go. I installed it for my 98 year old mother, who has to sit in a shower chair...the light weight, and extra length makes it easier for her. Don't put the shut- off at the spray end. Far superior to the hose that came with our Waterpik

We purchased our first in November of 2018 and liked it so much we purchased another for our second bath in December of 2018. In both instances the purchase price was $9.89. In our home both of these hoses were replacements for the hoses that came with the Waterpik XAS-649T PowerPulse Massage 6-Mode Hand Held Shower Head, 2.0 GPM, Brushed Nickel. This hose is plenty long for reaching down low enough to wash pets and children and is heavy enough to hang naturally and not twist or kink. It is not however, so heavy as to tug on the hand held shower head while in use or so long as to get in the way. We haven't encountered any quality or durability issues after having used these daily for the past 6 months and will update this review should that ever be the case. The 1/2" size ends are standard, but I wish the cone shaped end of these handheld hose were beefier to better fill the mount that came with our brand shower head. There's a little play when holstered but not so much as to make it unstable or otherwise problematic. We like this replacement hose and glad to have made our purchases.

hello, if you are in need of a great handheld shower hose, this is the one. it goes on easily, tightens well, does not have any leaks, and flexes to keep the hose straight down the wall. it does not kink or twist out of shape like some of the stock high end factory hoses. it hangs down with the weight and extends to all points in the shower. the problem that can show up with years of use is the build up of water particles and soap film in the grooves, but that can be remedied. this flexible hose replaces a stock factory one piece hose that popped out of its fitting. we have used this style of hose in the same length for several years without any mishaps. it should last a lot longer than the one piece stock hose. an excellent product and delivery.
