These are one of the products that I feel are essentially in cloth diapering. They allow for the effective and firm closure of prefold diapers for maximum absorption and minimal leakage. The initial investment may seem a little high but with durability that should last at a minimum of several months with constant use they are actually incredibly cost effective. With the use of snappis you could effectively reduce your diaper budget from approximately 600 dollars (25-30 we'll known pocket/AIO) to around 300 with an efficient number of well known covers and pre folds. Suddenly 15 dollars seems more than worth it. To give a fair and complete review I've tried to outline some pros and the biggest disadvantages I see with this product. Pros: They stretch to the babies sides to secure the diaper firmly in place preventing any type of shifting of the diaper. Their grips grab the diaper well without any risk of unintentionally sticking your little one with a needle point, and most importantly they can be secured quickly and easily to a wiggling child. They're smooth elastic poses no risk to the cover that you choose, and it is incredibly durable. They're very easy to clean with soap and water and dry quickly. Their elastic edges are not connected to the teeth of the snappi, which is especially nice when removing the snappis from a particularly wet/soiled diaper. Simply grab the edges of the elastic pull back and the teeth will disengage the diaper easily. When not in use the elastic can easily be tucked under the teeth of the snappi to prevent any unintentional pokes when reaching into the box you store them in. They come in vibrant colors that do not fade. Their durability keeps the colors looking nice without showing a lot of wear. Prep: When you first receive your snappi's you have to stretch them for a couple minutes. Hold the middle of the snappi and take turns pulling each of the sides out from the middle. You'll feel the elastic start to soften and gain a little more elasticity. Without this step they won't stretch as well and may be a little tight/uncomfortable for your little one while being broken in. Con: Although very durable, they are a little expensive and I haven't found any other use for them once I no longer need them for diapering. This wasn't a large enough con to lose a star in the rating because I've bought two packages of these so far at full price and the amount of use I get out of them I still feel like they're worth the money.

I have been using the snappi for a week now. I went from pocket diapers to flats and am using flour sack towels. The snappi grips really well and has nice stretch to keep the diaper on. My 8 week old is a very heavy wetter and even when the FST is completely saturated, it still grips. I love how it's flat so when my son is doing tummy time it doesn't add to his already bulky front diaper. They also have little tabs over the grip claw so you don't hurt your fingers when placing them on the diaper. I've heard of these breaking after a time and I honestly don't see that happening unless I'm strectching them more than is necessary. I also believe these will still fit well when he gets bigger so the one size is a plus. The only thing I would say would be nice is if they could come in bright colors. Obviously this is a personal preference from a mom of three little ones that can be scatterbrained and misplace a snappi as soon I set it down, kind of thing. ;-) There isn't any garauntee I would be able to find it even if it had a beeper on it though.

I have not had my baby yet so this is a preliminary review. I received the Snappis today and decided to try them with the Gerber prefold diapers I bought at Babies R Us this weekend. I practiced on a stuffed animal and these Snappis really work in clipping the diaper on and holding it together. I gave the stuffed animal to my daughter and she was running around with it and he Snappi was still in place. The only thing to watch out for are that these things are SHARP! It hurt pretty bad when I unsuspectingly grabbed it out of the package. Baby is due early August, so if I have any issues with these I will update my review.

Exactly what I was looking for. I couldn't find these in retail stores anywhere and the specialty baby stores were charging more than twice as much as here. These work better than the old safety pins. These are a lot safer to use; won't prick yourself or your baby with safety pins. Safety pins also bend and can break, but not these. I've used them for one child and plan on using them with my next. I used these with cheap Gerber brand prefolds until my baby was big enough to wear AIOs. I accidentally washed one that was still attached to a prefold and it didn't damage it at all. The only thing I wish could be different are the color options. The only color options available to me were blue, green, and white. While it worked well for a boy, I wish I could of gotten all white or had different colors to choose from in case my next child is a girl.

We use these in conjunction with the prefold diapers we use on our baby—we use the newspaper fold which works for our kid's needs. She is now a toddler, so we've upgraded to the "Toddler size" snappis (size 2), but these were a staple for more than 12 months of Cloth Diapering, and the toddler sized ones are now in our arsenal. Super easy to use, and you may only think you need 2 or 3, but 5 is actually perfect for our needs—we keep one in the diaper bag, two in rotation, and two as backups in case of breakage. Note that while we did use them for longer than 6 months (the package says to replace after 6 months of use), and I would say that they do need to be replaced eventually, but I did not keep a calendar of when our snappis finally snapped. We noticed that they all had some sort of structural failure some arbitrary time after the 6 month mark, but because we rotated ours instead of going hard on one at a time, they all broke around the same time.

I received these Snappi's a few weeks ago. I am fairly new to cloth diapering and had a friend recommend them. I love that they are so easy to use. You just clip one side down then the middle one and finally the other end. They are pretty flexible and very forgiving if you mess up and have to take it off There are little "teeth" that attach to the cloth and then a flap over the teeth for you to pull on and take them off. These seem so much better than the old school safety pins. I did get the 5 pack because they should be wiped down or washed after each use.

Snappis are amazing!! I'm new to the cloth diapering world and wanted to try every style of diaper to see what I liked best for my baby. So I bought these to hold together my flour sack towels and they work perfect. They stay in place even when the fst is soaked!! The pack of 3 is perfect because they are on the small side so I could see how they would get lost easily so having extras is great. For the price and the quality you couldn't get any better then the Snappis. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in the more "old school" style cloth diapering system.

I love these! I had read some reviews that weren't very positive. They have been durable for a couple of months, thus far, and they have many uses. I also use them to hold swaddle blankets more tightly. They are easy to use instead of diaper pins so no worries about baby getting stuck with pins. I have been very satisfied with this product.

My twins will be here any day now and this was a last minute find for me. We are doing cloth diapers and have everything including diaper pins. As a first time mom the pin scares me. What is if comes undone and pokes the babies??? I found these and figured what the heck, Ill give them a shot. They...are...AMAZING! They are soft, somewhat stretchy and strong as heck! They fit snug into the cloth and stay until removed. I used them on a friends baby and we were both blown away. I will be buying more and even my friend is considering cloth diapering because of these bad boys! Her little man kept his diaper on all day! Changed him and the fasteners gave us no fuss to take off and went on with zero fuss. He touches it but isnt able to take it off. These things are amazing!

Absolutely love these! I and my husband grew up diapering our younger siblings (go big Catholic families!) Our moms used pins on their prefolds. We bought pins for our first baby and these Snappis as well. And I honestly never once have used the pins. These are so fast and easy. I think they damage the cloth less than sticking a pin clear through it. We use Gerber (don't buy them, sadly I did, they have terrible water retention properties) which have a looser weave than my other prefolds. I wish I knew what the other diapers are (tagless garage sale find), they are great and about the same weave as a t-shirt but the Snappis still attach well. Still using the same 5 I had purchased 8 months ago and honestly don't think I have even hardly used 2 of them. I put them right back on the new diaper with no rest in between unless a super mess makes it too dirty to use.
