Excellent value. Sturdy. Suitable through elementary school, even beyond.

Sturdy. Individuals ranging up to 220 pounds have sat on the stool and it has not wobbled nor bent. Kelly green, handsome color. Gave this to a 4 foot tall about 40 pound 5 yr old 8 months ago for Christmas (with parental approval, :D ). His mother played trumpet from Elementary school through high school. First chair. Said it sounds fully adequate for a student through Elementary School and quite likely even through Middle School, even beyond. It has held up very well through many hours of practice. The sticks have not broken. But he also knows to treat everything with respect. The bass drum pedal does not make any noise and it swings easily. The cymbals are maaaaybe a bit brassy to a connoisseur, but who cares. He wants it for practice; he's not performing in a professional band. All the drums have good sound From The Snare to the base. And as mentioned at the top, his mom, dad, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents have also enjoyed sitting at these drums.

Great Drum Set!

The drums came in good condition and set up was very easy. I've read through all the reviews, and I feel like I should point out a few things that people said negatively about these drums. . . 1. They are not a "high end drum set," however, they are AWESOME for a kid! My 4 year old and 6 year old love them! The quality is much nicer than a "toy." This is a great starter drum set for kids. 2. I also read in some of the negative reviews that the instructions were difficult or non-existant. While the instructions were brief, the kit went together very easily. Once you start putting it together, you get the gist of how to do it all. The instructions do not say anything about tuning the drum set, but there are plenty of videos on YouTube to help you do that. So, the only negatives are that they are not "High End" and that the assembly instructions were not that great. Both of those were very minor. The quality of this drum set is still excellent, and the assembly was still very easy. I would budget 90 minutes for assembly. It took me about 20-30 minutes just to unbox everything and lay it all out. After that, assembly was easy-peasy! So far, my kids love them. If you are looking for an entry level drum set, BUY THESE!

Love them. Great kids set.

I read A lot of reviews on this set and its slightly smaller counterpart. They were all over the place. After assembly i think these are awesome! The instructions sheet could be better but with a brief examination of all parts its obvious what goes where. All the metal pieces were solid and all parts were there. Its actually fun putting on the skins and cranking them down. Don't be alarmed by the appearance of the drum tops when you open box. Mine looked like crap. When you tighten them up they smooth out. For the price this will be an amazing toy for a toddler. Much better than the potato chip cans of my youth. Shipping was super fast with prime. 10/10

Like everyone else... I got this for my kids. They love it. it was a little tough to set up... instructions? I eventually looked up "5 piece drum kit small" and saw a video that was made by a different manufacture but the kit was exactly the same. Easy to follow the step by step instructions.. This kit sounds pretty good for it being this small; we actually play along with a guitar and bass and the sound cuts through pretty well.

Nice little kit

Obviously the five star rating is relative to what this product is, an inexpensive drum kit for begginers. Don't expect pro quality stuff. That being said, it's a great value for the money. All the parts were included. If you've ever had experience putting drums together, it'll take you no time at all to assemble it. The fit and finish is nice, the wood is of higher quality than I expected. The high hat and kick pedals use a fabric strap instead of a chain, which is sort of cheesy, but it works and can always be replaced later. My five year old loves it, plays every day and is learning very quickly. But the kit is decent enough that I won't have to buy him a new one for at least a couple of years. If you've got a little one who wants to drum but you are worried about dumping a ton of money into something they may abandon or trar apart, this kit is your solution.

Perfect for my little girl

We love this set. I looked at lots of reviews. This set was easy to assemble. Has a great "real drum" sound. She had so much fun playing all the different drums and symbols. Definitely not a toy. The symbols have a little bit of a thin sound. If the sound of the symbols is important to you then you need to get a more expensive set. This set was perfect for our family.

Bought this for my 12y/o daughter who interested in the drums. She has a smaller bedroom and it fits in there great. Great starter set for a young kid who is interested. It is a smaller set, but my hiusband who is 5'11" can sit down and play it. It is definitly not a professional set, but will help your kid practice or decide that they really don't want to play the drums, and you didn't waste a fortune.

This is nice little drum set and I'm very happy with it overall. It wasn't too bad to put together in the instructions were pretty clear although I have no idea how to tune a drum set. It looks really nice and has held up while over the past year even though my four-year-old beats on it constantly. It is a little bit on the small side and I probably wouldn't recommend it for anyone older than seven or eight but for anyone younger than that age I would highly recommend it. Seems to sound pretty good and I've had no issues. Overall I'm happy with this product.

Better than I expected! My daughter loves it..

This drum set came as expected and described with all of the needed parts and accessories. I saw some negative feedback from some users out there who seem to expect a lot from a "Kids" drum set... I am a music therapist and bought these for my 2 year old daughter... the sound and quality is quite good, especially for the PRICE.. If you are expecting a "Top of the line" Tama, Yamaha, or Ludewig set then look elsewhere, this is as stated a kids set... hence the low price, but again if you buy it with the right expectations that it is for a kid, then you will be as happy as I am... the sound, etc are perfectly fine when tuned correctly... I read some people complaining that the instructions were not clean.. Do what I did.... Look on youtube for a video of putting these or a similar set like it together... it worked perfectly for me.. here is one so you do not have to go crazy! Enjoy the Set! Worth the money. Sound quality

Drum kit it is!! We got this for our 4 year old that loves to rock out. He busted his cheapie set that was $60 from the big box toy store. This is not even a comparison to what he did have. These are real drums and cymbals. Comes with the drum sticks and a stool too. Assembly took my husband about an hour and patience with no help. We are beyond happy with this purchase. Everything is adjustable and is custom for my son due to the ability to loosen or tighten as needed. Our future drummer also lives his new drums. He gravitates to them and it is improving his motor skills as well. Our hearing and house will never be the same but our hearts and home are full with seeing him so happy to play. Thank you for such an outstanding product for toddlers. Many times parents are ripped off when it comes to quality even if there is a $$$ price. Not with this set. This will last him and grow with him for a couple of years while he learns. Sound investment and worth the price.
