Let`s get my video game experience out of the way: I`ve owned every single portable video game console starting from the Gameboy. Have I played the most important portable games from The Legend of Zelda XD to Peace Walker? Absolutely. I`ve pretty much played every important portable video game title ever created. Now let`s talk about this jewel named "Uncharted: Golden Abyss." First of all, it`s said that Peace Walker is the most amazing portable game created, but it can`t compare to this one in terms of action, gameplay and almost everything else. This game feels like the real thing. It does not feel crippled in any way. There are some hiccups, but remember this a launch tile, where developers get to know the console potential. However, this title feels like no other portable. Is it the Vita? If yes, I don`t wanna think about future games in terms of graphics because Golden Abyss looks like heaven. The title is over 20 hours of story and over 100 hours to get all trophies including the ones in the game and the PSN`s ones. Besides it will take a lot of work to collect every treasure. I guess there are over two hundred objects to collect if I am not mistaken. The game is huge from every perspective that you want to see it: graphics, exploration, gameplay and story. Probably Sony knew that it needed something this big and good to keep early adopters happy. If you happen to own a Vita, just buy this game and get ready play the most amazing portable video game experience ever created. This game puts every other portable video game to shame and rightfully so. It should keep you happy while you wait for Call of Duty and AC which are going to be awesome because of the Vita`s incredible potential.

I've never been able to sit down and play a portable game for more than a half-hour in one sitting, but that changed when I picked up Uncharted: Golden Abyss. There were times when I completely forgot I was playing a portable console, its that engrossing. This AAA title delivers on the level that it's PS3 brethren do, it's story is fantastic, Drake and Sully(who shows up halfway through the game) are as likable as ever, and the graphics are almost as good as the PS3. It feels just perfect, the little things like Drake's head turning the split-second before his body does, or the snarky comments the characters make to each other during gameplay constantly giving you that warm, fuzzy, I'm-Playing-an-Uncharted-Game feeling. When U:GA uses normal controls, it feels exactly like the home console version, not like a shrunk down port, even though the analogs are small, intui-aim makes aiming just as easy as it is at home. When touch controls are integrated, SCE Bend does a great job of making them feel like they belong in the game, there were only two instances where I'm not a huge fan: First, when you have to "wipe clean" artifacts, using the back touchpad to rotate them feels awkward, and second, you can never walk across a beam without drake stoping and it going into gyroscope balance mode, it happens at least five for six times. I'm not completely finished with the game (I'm on chapter 27 out of 34), but from what I've heard the campaign lasts 8-11 hours, that lines up with what I've played so far. U:GA has just as many cutscenes as it's home console counterparts as well, each and every one impeccably acted my Nolan North and Co. So is this game worth your $50? In a word: Yes, if you enjoy the uncharted series you will not want to miss this wonderful addition to Nathan Drake's ever-expanding chronicles. This game shows off the power of the vita in just the same way it showed off the power of the PS3.

For someone who is casual with the series and who recently 2017 jumped the vita wagon this game, omg guys, just impressed me in so many ways. I honestly feel that this game is worth buying a vita for, it's that freakin good. When I'm playing it I seriously forget I'm playing a portable game because of the level of depth and quality that has been put into it from the graphics, sound, gameplay and the amount of content in it is remarkable. Bottom line is it is worth your time and money. It's kind of sad that many people won't get to experience this Uncharted due to the Vitas weak popularity, real shame.

I'm a fairly new PS Vita owner and this is the best game I've played so far. I wouldn't say it's the sole reason to buy a Vita but it is a compelling option. The controls are easy to use and the game play is good just like the console version. I also like how it fully integrates the capabilities of the Vita (touch screen, gyroscope, etc.). At a low price point for the digital download it's worth picking up.

There are some very detailed walkthrough like reviews on here for this game, so I won't go into too much detail about the plot or the gameplay. Some of the touch screen elements are utilized well and make for fun gameplay even if they do get repetitive. Overall the gameplay feels like the previous iterations of the franchise although I think this game feels more like the Drakes Fortune than Drakes Deception. The voice acting is as great as always, the sound as well. Doesn't seem to have any new themes or overtures as far as music, and some of the distant backgrounds in the level design (particularly jungle levels) looks like a painted backdrop, I have no real gripes about this games and love It like all the other Uncharted games. This is definitely one of the best games I've played on a handheld device, certainly one of the best looking. If you are an Uncharted fan, you will wanna play this game.

Like most Uncharted games. A good story and a relatively relaxed play-through. This one uses some gimmicks for the PSP Vita, like making you swipe the front and rear screens for tasks at times and using the gyro to due balancing and even using the camera as a light sensor at times. These I find sometimes annoying. But it isn't terribly obtrusive to enjoying the game. The story isn't as good as Uncharted 2, which was my favorite, but it's still good. The voice acting, as usual, is excellent, and the fun factor is very high. I play it on the bus to work, about 20 minutes twice a day, and it's easy to put down and pick up, and the story is engaging. My bus trip is often over too soon now!

I have never played a game in this franchise, until my purchase of this PS Vita title. I am not a big fan of action/adventure games, but found myself pleasantly surprised by how much fun this game was to play. I particularly enjoyed the black market, and the collecting of bounty items throughout the game. I like the ability to replay different chapters even before completing the game fully. I did find myself getting stuck a few times during shootouts, but I am not a big fan of shooter games (and have played very few action games) so this is a very minor issue- that is more likely a result of the genre of the game than any fault with the difficulty of the game itself. Overall, I would recommend this game. It has: -good graphics, -quite a few items to collect, -the ability to trade items with other players through the Near app with Black Market, -a good plot with solid historical background (even the items you find come with small descriptions/exposition on their historical significance/background, which was a very nice touch), -good character development, and -utilizes not only the joystick but also touch controls, as well as the back touch control of the PS Vita.

Was sort of blown away by this game. It had all the right ingredients to make a great game. The graphics, I thought, were brilliant. I spent a lot of time just staring at the scenery. Truly beautiful. It was hard to imagine how this could be a handheld game. The story was interesting, the characters were great. The acting very thoughtful and genuine. And the gameplay best of all. Aside from all the jumping and swinging and shooting you need to do. There are also puzzles that need to be solved, collectibles you need to gather, and even variances in the type of gameplay you have. All of it keeps you interested right to the end. It really does show what the vita can do. And if we had more like this I feel it could still be a hit. However, the end had come. But that's ok because you can still get this in download form. Highly recommend this one for anyone who has a vita or needs a reason to get one.

This is still one of the best vita games out there! It has amazing graphics and gameplay.. I can only imagine how I would've looked had the dev made this further into the vitas life cycle knowing more about the hardware and development tricks. Either way it's a great game.. It's selling sealed on ebay for $30+ and Amazon has it for $17.99 and free shipping with prime.. You can't beat it!

I bought a PS Vita after years of playing multiplayer shooter games. Call it old age, slow reflexes, or just plain tired of getting killed all the time. I dug out my old PSP and started playing some of the games I had that I never finsihed like God of War and Metal Gear. I found them so much more relaxing than the multiplayer experience. Then I starting reading about the PS Vita. I decided to get one when they included the $50 GC with the purchase, also my wife wanted to get me a Father's Day gift. Anyway I bought Resistance and Uncharted. Resistance was okay but when I started playing Uncharted, I was hooked. This game is the ultimate game for the Vita. The graphics are awesome. The game play is captivating and as always with the Uncharted series, the story is phenominal and intriguing, playing like a mystery movie. If you have a Vita, you owe it to yourself to give this game a try. I am sure you will enjoy it. 6/19 Update - I have finished the game and except for a few parts where the third person view makes things hard to figure out the controls, this game is just plain awesome. The ending gives you the feeling you get when you watched a five star movie. Order it, play it, and enjoy! I have been gaming for many years and you will be very hard pressed to find a better game than this.
