My dentist recommended this toothpaste
My dentist recommended this toothpaste. It will feel funny to people who are used to their whole mouth foaming up because this does not have the Sodium Lauryl Sulfate in its ingredient deck. What you get is a slight minty feel at the end and a thumbs up on your next checkup! I follow up with their mouth rinse that is an excellent product as well. If you suffer from canker sores, switch to this toothpaste ASAP! I was a long time sufferer but have not had any breakouts since using this toothpaste. I hope this helps you too!

light mint flavor
My dentist recommended this toothpaste because I have receding gums. It is a great toothpaste, and the mint is milder than most of the other ones on the market. I wish they would make one without any flavor. I will search for a toothpaste without the mint. Mint messes up breakfast, or any other food you eat after you brush your teeth. This one doesn't burn your mouth though.

If you get Canker Sores, buy this toothpaste. Change your life.
I (and others in my family) have been life-long canker sore suffers. I knew that certain things exacerbated them (eating spicy/vinegar foods, when I'm getting a cold, when I bite my cheep, when I sleep, when I breathe...), but only learned of the SLS allergy a few years ago. This toothpaste has been a game changer. I went from pretty much constantly having at least one canker sore, to getting maybe a few a year. You barely need to use any toothpaste, and one tube lasts me for a long time - so long that I have to cancel my "subscribe and save" orders for months at a time before I need a new tube.

Helps with dry mouth and cleans well
I am close to the completion of my first tube, and this toothpaste has helped quite a bit with my symptoms of dry mouth. It also seems that my teeth became brighter after just a couple of weeks of use, a pleasant surprise. I recently purchased a second tube -- this is now my toothpaste of choice. Without the SLS to create lots of foam, you have to keep your mouth a bit more closed when brushing, but I am more than happy to accept this for the lack of SLS's drying effects. The paste creates good foam and cleans very well; you just have to understand that it is somewhat different from an SLS-based toothpaste.

BEST DENTAL HEALTH PRODUCTS ON THE PLANET!!!!
BEST toothpaste in the WORLD! I can say that from a professional standpoint since I have been a dental hygienist since 1984 and have used these products since the early 1990's. The inventor of this product was the doctor who wrote my "Periodontal" college textbook. I have used this in clinical practice over decades and have seen miraculous improvements in my patient's periodontal condition. It's because of the compound, chlorine dioxide, in the product, but I'm not going to go into a detailed explanation...just believe me on this and try this product. Don't buy into the hype that dentists promote with all the other big name brands and most of all...Listerine (that name makes my skin crawl) All those companies go into dental offices and give them samples to "push" onto their patients. They hold contests to see who can do the most promotions...it's all about money, not about YOUR periodontal health. I actually got fired from a prestigious office in NYC because I would not conform to the "product politics" of their practice! I have been recommending CloSys products since I saw the results my patients had with it. THAT's what helping people is about, not about selling stuff. Anyway, if you have bleeding gums, if you have a history of periodontal pockets or surgery, if you have bad breath or if you have a healthy mouth and just want to keep it that way, USE THESE CLOSYS PRODUCTS!!!!! A few other recommendations...the Oral B Braun small round oscillating electric brush is also the best one on the market. If you use that in conjunction with Closys products, your gum health WILL improve! One thing I always told my patients is floss first, then brush at least 2 minutes and when you use Closys toothpaste, do not rinse out afterwards. Just spit. The longer the product is in contact with your gum tissue, the better. If you have kids using this or if you have concern about it, buy the "non-fluoride" version of this product. I hope people find this helpful.

Great for coffee stains
I have been using Closis toothpaste consistently for several years now with occasionally trying other brands, but I keep coming back to Closys. The toothpaste works great at removing coffee stains on teeth, and I make sure to use it specifically after drinking coffee or tea. I have found that if you use a small dab on your finger and rub stubborn stains they mostly come off without a visit to the dentist. Additionally, if you prefer not to appear like a rabid animal foaming at the mouth while brushing your teeth, Closys is a very low foaming toothpaste to try. I purchased this product on Amazon and did NOT receive any discount on the purchase. This review is my own honest opinion and unbiased by any promotional value.

Worth every penny
Solid 5 stars. I have been telling everyone I know about this toothpaste. The mouthwash is good too, but I had to budget and just get the paste. I tried this in a trial pack and couldn't wait to order a full-sized tube. This stuff WORKS. At first, it seems as though it's not doing anything because it's so mild and I was tempted to use too much paste. Even with the tiny trial size tube, I got great results using just a little bit. After a couple of days, this helped with my issues of dry mouth and morning "dragon breath". I'm not saying that you will be free of morning breath, but mine sure is a lot better. This part sounds weird, but I swear it happens: I am supposed to be drinking more water (for health reasons) and I notice that water tastes better since I've been using this toothpaste. How random, but it's true! The other thing that I want to mention is that, no matter how tempted, you do NOT have to use very much of this paste. This stuff isn't cheap and I really would not have bought the full-sized tube if it didn't work so good with just a very little bit. It really only takes a couple dots of this on my brush to do the job. In the past, I have tried natural kinds of toothpaste, Biotene, ACT, a couple of natural brands, and a couple of other 'boutique' brands to help with dry mouth and bad breath. Some of my medications make the problem worse. This toothpaste is one I plan to stick with. From my pics, you can see that the 7-oz tube is a good size. The trial tube is one that I used for over two weeks because I was trying to stretch it out.

BEST PURCHASE OF THE YEAR - Cured my chronic canker sores
Bought this for chronic canker sores. I used to get them when I was a teenager and they stopped in my 20s. Over the past year (now 31), I began getting them so frequently that I had at least one if not multiple almost all of the time. Made it super painful to eat. I could not eat without using some sort of oral analgesic (e.g. lidocaine) and had about 10 vials of Oragel or Kanka in my home/car/office all the time. It was getting so miserable I would have tried anything. Started using this toothpaste about 6 months ago and I've literally had ZERO canker sores since. Truly a god send. Never using another toothpaste. I'd give this stuff 100 stars if I could. I also like the mild flavor. Much less intense that conventional toothpastes. Also, I tried the mouthwash with it but that stuff didn't do much for me. The toothpaste alone was plenty.

Very gentle and thorough cleaning.
A few months ago, I decided to switch to a sulfate-free toothpaste to keep the corners of my mouth from splitting so often. This toothpaste takes some getting used to since it doesn't have the foaminess you're accustomed to from commercial brands, but using this, combined with the rinse (which tastes like water), has made a positive difference in my oral hygiene. My mouth and gums aren't irritated, my mouth feels fresh without being overwhelmingly minty, and my dental hygienist has noticed a decrease in stains during my cleanings. I definitely recommend.

Great for sensitives & perfect size for travel
I love this toothpaste for so many reasons. 1) It has a nice taste. Maybe that shouldn't matter, but some good-for-you-toothpastes taste so awful, I'd avoid them even if it meant compromised dental health. CloSYS has good taste and all the positive dental health properties. 2) It's great for sensitive teeth & gums. My husband first started using this because for him the sulfates in most toothpastes trigger canker sores. This is sulfate-free. Yay! 3) Size DOES matter! When it comes to travel options, most toothpastes are either tiny and aren't going to last through the trip or huge and won't make it through TSA. CloSYS is exactly 3.4 oz--the max size allowed by Homeland Security.
