Purchased this as our primary modem/router combo for Windstream service. It works WAY better than the modem provided by Windstream. This one allows you to have two concurrent bands, but I still haven't figured that out - however we are running on one and it is pretty fast internet for our area, faster than our service was before we purchased and set it up. We run a laptop, 3 phones, two kindles, an xbox, a tablet, and a printer constantly connected to wifi on this router and still runs great. Occasionally we have outages, but that may be due to our service, not the modem/router. We have had to reset it only twice in the time that we have owned it, since buying it about 9 months ago. I go to school online at home and this allows me to have reliable internet service with DSL at home, even with all the other systems and electronics running, with very little concern about it jamming up. The modem has several features on it and has its own website to set up and customize your modem and service. It also comes with a genie app on the computer which helps make adjustments or request service or assistance from tech support, if needed. The design of the router/modem is simple with only a couple switches on the front, an "on/off" switch, and a "wifi" connection switch. In addition, there are 2 USB ports, including one for storage, and 5 ethernet ports. The slim upright design makes it fit easily against the wall or in a cabinet without taking up much space. Netgear also provided 90 days of technical support, which they offered to extend for additional fee, and a 1 year hardware warranty. Overall I have been extremely happy with this modem/router combo and the internet service I have had since changing to this equipment.

After several very poor conversations with CenturyLink (was a Qwest customer for 30 years before the buyout) I was provided the option of renting their modem for $6/mo or purchasing it from them for $100. I refused to do either, as CenturyLink provided free modems for the first two years of servicing Arizona, all of the sudden their modem provided at the time of service merging begins to drop service.. they no longer provide free Modems to use in conjunction with their service and they also do not stand behind the modems that they provide. Long story short... I got no where which is expected, I don't expect them to provide me with a free modem if they truly do not supply them but I didn't appreciate the account manager blatantly lying saying that they have never offered free modems in the 5 years of service. To the review of this modem... it is amazing! I was serviced with the alleged 11mbps plan from CenturyLink; however, with the old modem I peaked no higher than 9mbps. With this new modem I am peaking at 15.5 - 16mbps connection speeds. Installation of this product is simple and easy to configure wireless connections. I recommend changing your SSID and password from the default settings. I have had the product for 4 days and everything has ran smoothly with no signs of lag or connection drops. If you decide to purchase this product it is mandatory that you contact your internet service provider to obtain your "ISP Username and Password" because without these you will not be able to connect to the internet. Pros: Simple Installation Sleek and Compact Design Serves as Modem & Wireless Router Perfect for connecting multiple devices including: Tablets, Phones, TVs, & Xbox One (simultaneously) Reduces wire clutter Cons: Price exceeds $100 (however, this is better priced than similar products)

The NETGEAR N600 DGND3700v2 exceeded my expectations based on Amazon reviews. I have Verizon DSL and was a little concerned about set up as Verizon appears to only have information on a small number of very basic modem routers. However; set up was really easy. I put in my Verizon account and password information and let the router do an automatic set up. In less than 10 minutes the NETGEAR N600 was set up and we were connected to the internet. Range is great. It easily covers my entire 2 story house. The dual band is awesome. The N600 easily handles my three teenagers and 6 to 8 connected devices. No more complaints about slow and low resolution streaming.

I have DSL through AT&T and this gateway works with them. The only problem I had was that the gateway needed a firmware update, so when I tried to setup through the genie it would not accept my user id or network id. I had to click on no, I want to set the router up myself in order to update the firmware. Once that was done I had no problems setting it up from there.

So, I think we have a winner here with the Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band, Modem Router. Connecting was easy and all our house electronics are connected. The range and speed are so much better than our old Actiontec one. Our house is large and it sits on 2 ½ acres. We are running 3 computers, 2 cell phones, 2 tablets, a Sony DVD player, Roku and 3 wireless printers all at the same time. Netgear doesn’t break a sweat. So far, we are very happy with this product and I think you will be pleased with it also.

Have been having better internet with this than the modem and router i was using before. It seems to have a better broadcasting power. I can pick up the signal better all over the house. Set up was a little tricky though my tech support at ISP went through it with me in a few minutes. It is working great.

Unsure of what others have written, I received a v2 product today. Hookup was easy, talked to Centurylink, all I needed was my PPP logon/password, and the system populated the balance of the information to create a connection. The whole process took 25 minutes with 18 of those waiting for tech support to pick up on a busy day. Centurylink was excellent, the product is spectacular, and my system is smooth, fast, and simple. Thank you Netgear, Centurylink, and other product reviewers who led me to this great product! If you need a bit more (A/C) look to the N750, both share the same DNA, and I believe you will be very happy with your purchase!

Storm came through and fried our old router. Awful timing bc we just had a newborn and who has time to try to get a modem/router? But we got it figured out!

After reading some of the reviews I was hesitant to order, but our techy nephew blamed the problems on the people not the netgear. Its been a few months and it is working with excellence. Had our nephew over once to help and he found out we had turned off the box somehow. Makes me think his first advice was probably spot-on.

I have used this for a month now and it seems to be doing the job it advertises it can do. It does well with simultaneously allowing multiple users to be on the internet on 2 PCs while streaming Netflix on a television at the same time and while gaming on a computer and/or game system. In other words, up to four people have been using the bandwith heavily and the device handles it well. I have AT&T DSL 6.0 and it is an improvement over the modem they gave us. The set up was easy except you do need to know the NETWORK PASSWORD and not just your primary e-mail/primary account information. It has been years since I ordered the service so I had to call AT&T to get this but, the person seemed very aware of what to do and I was up and running in five minutes after call and the representative even stayed on the line to test and make sure everything was good. The only strange thing that I have noticed is that from time to time the modem will disconnect and instantly reconnect without causing a disruption in signal or service (I get a small message stating this on the taskbar from the "genie" notification icon which is the software used to monitor and change the settings on modem and also what is used as the wizard guide to set it up). I don't know why this is occuring and will look into the settings and keep an eye on it to see if it continues. In my opinion, this is a great item for the price and has good features which are easy to understand while providing a good service which allows me to do all my day to day activities using DSL.
