PHENOMENAL!!! My 14-year-old Maltese's breath no longer smells like she ate a dead animal!!!!
Okay, so, my 14 year-old Maltese Sophie has breath that smelled like she had just eaten a dead animal.... really! YUCK. I had tried EVERYTHING I could think of to help her. Every kind of "minty chew" for breath, every kind of "breath tablet", toothpaste, enzymes, you name it, I was desperate and tried it... FAIL!! Well, I cam across this GEM of a product and I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful her breath is now!!!!!!!! This is a life changer (for both you and your dog). It is SOOO easy.. I just put a cap in their fresh water and BAM... that is it. I am so beyond happy with this product that I would like to buy a lifetime supply of it!!!!

Zero issues after years of use
I've been using this (or similar brands) for my dogs entire 7 year life. I've started buying this brand more consistently because she likes it, I've had some brands that I bought that she refused to drink. So if your dog is being picky and not drinking the water then maybe try a different brand. My dog definitely has a preference to this brand. I also have 3 cats and only my male cat used to drink the water with the plaque remover but since switching to this I have caught all 3 of my cats drinking it. I believe it works over a long period of time. I take all my animals in to the vet for regular yearly check-ups and my vet commented on how fabulous my dog's teeth looked. She was very impressed with them. My 7 year old cat (who mostly refuses to drink this water and has her own dish) had a different story and was told she probably needed a cleaning soon. But not the dog who drinks this all the time!!! Also, her breath isn't bad at all. I would recommend. I think the dogs that are getting sick it's just like any food product. Some dogs may have sensitivities or allergies to some ingredients out there and can get sick. So if you try it and your dog gets sick then definitely stop.

No more funky doggy breath
Took our dog in to get her teeth cleaned last fall. The vet had to extract a few teeth and said that she has moderate periodontitis. She recommended using a water additive to keep the plaque at bay. We just finished a 33 oz bottle of this Tropiclean water additive, which lasted just over 6 months for our small dog. The push top cap is very handy for dispensing a small amount into her water bowl. Definitely have noticed a marked improvement in pup's breath and reduced plaque scale. We use this in tandem with rubbing a small amount of Virbac toothpaste to the front of upper and lower teeth nightly (we've tried the finger brush but pup hates it). The vet also recommended feeding dry food exclusively since it helps to keep the teeth clean.

No more dragon breath.
LOVE THIS STUFF. My male Alhasa Apso had dragon breath, he would walk into the room and you could smell it, he is a crabby dog but loves to give kisses (on his terms) but letting him do so left such a foul odor on the skin that I no longer let him kiss me, just my husband would let him. After a month and one week of use I can tell you his breath is actually sweet smelling, no foul odor and the tarter build up that was there is thinning, his teeth are looking brighter. I had tried brushing his teeth (great peril doing so) I gave him chews to remove the tarter and help with breath, I purchased some tablets that were supposed to get rid of tarter and bad breath: none of that worked, at all. I will definetly purchase this again. Our other animals do not mind the water so long as the cats do not see me add the product, they look disgusted by it and walk away for about an hour, but it is worth it because their breath has also benifited from this. I saw where people complained of the bubbles, there are bubbles, a lot of them if you add the product to the bowl before or during the water addition, but there is minimal to no bubbles when the product is added dircetly to the water. I did taste the water with the product (I wasn't going to give it to my fur babies if tasted bad), there was no taste when done according to the directions. This is not a good product, it is a GREAT product and I thank you for producing it. Our house smells better with out dragon boy breath in it. I highly recomend this product to other pet owners.

Her breath has been smelling horrible. It was difficult to even show her affection ...
Our miniature schnauzer is 9 years old. Her breath has been smelling horrible. It was difficult to even show her affection because her breath was so bad. When we took her to the vet - he said that she had advanced gum disease, and would need to have at least one tooth pulled as a result. He said that the bad breath was caused by the gum disease. So, I went searching online to find something that would help her as well as our other 2 dogs (golden retrievers). This product is the first thing we have tried. It is so easy to use, and it has really helped our schnauzer's breath! I can't believe how much better her breath is now. I really hope that she won't have to have her tooth pulled, but either way, I am so glad that I found this product, and have already purchased 2 more bottles. We also give it to the golden retrievers, and will continue doing so permanently. It's definitely worth trying!!! I highly recommend it.

I really think it's making a difference!
First additive out of several I've tried that I think is really working. I normally opt for something as natural as possible and this product doesn't seem to change the color of the water. I stopped other brands worried that it could adversely effect dogs kidneys. I have several dogs and one is not a chewer. I've literally tried 20-30 different dental bones including real bones with marrow you name it. And my one dog a super healthy guy but he builds tarter easily. He's 9 yrs old and has all but 2 of the bottom front teeth, super cute when he's panting or smiling :)) I don't want him to loose his teeth so I've had his teeth professionally cleaned under sedation 5 times now in 9 years. It pains me to have to sedate him. A dog park friend told me she was getting results with this brand so I gave it a try. On my second bottle now, been using 2 months and will continue to use since his teeth are maintaining well.

Works wonders for our four pups!!! Can’t say enough good stuff about Tropiclean.
My family and I have four small dogs a (Longhaired Chihuahua, Pomeranian & 2 Japanese Chins) that we use this water supplement for. I am extremely pleased with the results. Our family has a shared routine that everyday at 6AM & 6PM someone washes their water bowls and changes the water adding the Tropiclean (it needs to be changed every 12 hours to be effective). Here’s the proof it works... We had our dogs teeth cleaned 3 years ago and then started using this product religiously. To date none of our dogs have had to have their teeth cleaned by the veterinarian when going in for their annual checkups. Please note that we “DO NOT” do any manual brushing of our dogs teeth. Our vet is astonished at how clean our dogs teeth are year after year and ask us what it is that we do so that he can share with his clients. We told him about our routine mentioned above and that we give a “Greenie” treat once a day. I am very pleased that not only do our fur-babies not have to go under dangerous anesthesia for annual teeth cleanings, but it’s cost saving for the family as well. By the way...our dogs didn’t have any adverse reactions to the smell or taste. Hope this review helps.

my daughter is a vet tech and she tells me how much they charge to clean dog's teeth and if they would only take better care of
This product works! I bought this 10 years ago when we brought home our new French Bulldog puppy because he won't let me brush his teeth and dental health is more important for dogs than most people think. I know, my daughter is a vet tech and she tells me how much they charge to clean dog's teeth and if they would only take better care of them the dog would be healthier and they would save hundreds if not thousands of dollars. This stuff works! Put it in their drinking water. Do it every day and your dog will have beautiful teeth like my old dog has. His look like dogs much younger and even impresses my daughter :)

Cats got used to it quickly
My cats got used to it rather quickly. I am still on the fence whether it works or not it's very difficult to tell. We just had a yearly exam and my little cat had five teeth pulled. My big cat had no issues. Both cats are 5 YO. I guess next year I'll find out If this worked. I'll continue using it. In all honesty I think it's all about genetics and in general cats will always have teeth problems as they are impossible to brush. I've fed greenies since they were kittens too, so can tell you how effective pretty much all these remedies are.

Great product. Works for My Poodle
This works for my poodle. SheShe had the worst breath ever. You could smell it from across the room when she yawned. However, after regularly drinking water with the fresh breath product, I have to get in her face and put her mouth to my nose to smell her breath now. Of course it's still dog breath and depends on what she's been eating and licking. However, the foul troublesome smell was eradicated. She did seem to notice when I first put it in her water and she spent about 10 minutes smacking her mouth and licking the air. I was worried that she wouldn't want her water, but I was lucky - she quickly accepted it and doesn't mind. I mix up a separate container with 32 oz of water and add 1 capful and keep it in the refrigerator, rather than try to measure out a capful each time I fill her water bowl. I was surprised how large the bottle is because I read some complaints by other customers about having to frequently reorder more of the product. However, for my 8-lb toy poodle, this size (about 1 Liter) is sufficient and cost efficient. I feel this bottle will last us a long time. We have been using it regularly since December (2 1/2 months) and still have more than 3/4 of the bottle left. If I only have to buy it twice a year, that's a deal to me
