Incredible set. Beautifully labled and boxed. My friend the phlebotimist was even impressed. She said some were better done than others, but was impressed by the number of silver mounts in the set. Could not possibly make this quality of slides myself. However, the pictures they display on the posting are ridiculous. No slides look like that. You will get a mosquito leg or wing, but you don't get entire insects or multicolored slides like they depict. It's ridiculous, and too bad they advertise that when the product itself is pretty nice.

I have to be honest I almost didn't purchase this because of all the negative comments....I'm so glad I went ahead! Great quality! I have inspected every slide - none broken! Super fast shipping! Very happy! I can't wait to give to my son for his Birthday!

I got this for my daughter's birthday when she turned 9 with a microscope. She loves looking at these for hours and can look at them on her own. She also really likes drawing what she sees in her "science book" (a drawing journal). I am hoping to inspire her toward science and encourage that spark of curiosity.

My son showed an interest in learning biology and at the age of 14 I was happy to hear of his interest. The slides are perfect and has kept him busy for hours.

A good show and assortment to spark the young mind. My only additional note is before you order the other sets, CHECK the overlap. I just did a comparison between Set A and D, and found two-thirds of the slides to be redundant. You can get on the amscope.com site the full list of slides in each set, then copy and paste them into Excel for a quick check. I would have expected less repeats. Buyer beware and decide.

This item came damaged, it looks nice and a good quality but the tabs that separate the slides are all broken on one side so that the slides are loose and messed up. I will update this once I get a replacement. New one came and it is in perfect shape. It has different slides in it than the first one too. The first one must have been the wrong set. This set matches the other reviewers uploaded photo.

I ordered these at the same time as some items with Prime and they all arrived the same day. I was ecstatic! Its a nice, sturdy wooden box with a list of what is on each slide. There is also a paper under the slides that say which number they are. The slides are all nicely labeled and easy to read. Id love for there to be more detail stating what the items are sometimes though. For example, one of them is just labeled "Fruit" while others are much more specific. Great purchase for my microscope

Nice set of slides. Arrived well packaged, and in excellent condition. Wood box is nice, and holds all slides securely. One thing I did notice, however, is the slides arrived a little dusty (probably from transport). No problem, I just cleaned them off once before viewing. No need to clean them again after that. A very nice and well made set of slides that will give anyone hours of enjoyment.

After hearing reports of other products having issues with broken slides, poor samples, etc. I was hoping this would be better. Indeed it is way beyond my expectations...no broken slides, everyone is a very well prepared AND mounted specimen. I did have to take a blower brush to a couple to remove some dust but not a big deal. Box is nice and slides fit well...and they were already in their correct slots...not mixed up. I didn't find any blah slides..in fact many are outstanding and lots of fun to study and view the intricate and beautiful detail. Spent an enjoyable couple of days going through all 100 of them and photographing my favorites. I also noticed they didn't try the easy way out of slippping in a bunch of easy for them, non-interesting to us specimens. There are a couple but even they are OK. So final recommendation....excellent choice for a sample collection that covers a wide range of fields. Bob Berta

My husband and kids are having a blast going through these slides. Lots to choose from and interesting differences or progressions to compare. They seem to be good quality, obviously fragile but my 7 and 8 year old kids can handle them safely.
