Ideal for 3 in. snowfalls and company stands behind product
We have a good deal of lake effect snow in Michigan, 2-3" at a time. This is perfect for dealing with it; a small maneuverable snow thrower that doesn't require gasoline or a cord. It throws the snow several feet, the battery easily lasts long enough to do a 100' walk and a double driveway. The first one I bought proved defective and the company sent me a replacement at no cost with shipping as fast as Amazon itself. Couldn't be happier

This thing has worked wonders for me both in dusty snow and heavy snow. For heavy snow I recommend spraying the snow shoot and teeth with a non-stick spray (like PAM for cooking). This causes the snow to not stick to the shoot and cause blockage/build up. I have zero complaints about this. I also have their electric Lawnmower and the batteries are interchangeable which is great.

This is one of the best purchases I have ever made
This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. It is amazing and throws snow 20ft. It is very manageable and easy to use. Too hard to put together? I respectfully disagree. So great!

EXCELLENT Cordless Snow Shovel: Powerful, well built, great value, excellent customer support
This is a quality built/excellent item. It's well built, solid, and easy to put together. I've only had a chance to use it a few times this Winter but I was impressed by it's power. I was able to move several inches of snow and slush. It throws the snow and slush well over 10', more than enough for me. The snow built up one time and then it rained, causing several inches of slush, then it froze partially before I could get to it. I had to push my way in to it, but this machine dug into it, chopped it up and cleared it. I looked at the blades and the rest of the bottom of the machine; did even make a scratch in it! The metal shoes on each side will make a big difference in wear & tear longevity. I really liked that; they used metal shoes. The directional handle came in handy when I was trying to clear a corner. Great idea that works great! Love it that I could send it in another direction. I've told my family and friends about it and how great it worked. They wanted, and I sent them the info on it. I looked for over a year for one and decided on Earthwise. The only thing is that I wish I bought this years ago! I contacted the company for assistance and they responded immediately. Outstanding support! If you are looking to get a power-shovel, this is the one!

Awesome little machine. Highly recommend this product.
OK folks, This is about the coolest tool I have bought in years!!! I live in Wisconsin, and we get snow. I have a double wide, one and three quarter car deep, and this little machine has no problem moving 6 inches of moderately heavy snow. This being done on one battery charge. It effortlessly cleans down to the pavement, throws the snow a good distance, and can be used at 5:30 am without disturbing the neighbors. All plusses. That being said, there are a few cautions worthy of noting: 1: Shovel will not stand up with the battery installed. 2: Control of blowing snow is a bit iffy. Although, this as with all snowblowers, you cant blow into the wind and be comfy. 3: This is by far the worst issue. If you don't make sure to get the battery installed all the way, it will stop. One might worry about this until you figure out what the heck is going on. I give it a good smack to be sure to get it locked into place. No more issue! 4: The safe lock out button on the side of the handle is kind of a burden. I don't leave the machine running when I'm not blowing snow, (unlike a gas machine) so I am constantly having to hold this button in. A little bit tiring on the hand, but once you get in the groove of the blower, it comes natural and you know when to hold and when to let go. All the above are very minor issues compared to the ease and performance of this little machine. I am still in the first year of ownership, and have my neighbors all asking about this blower. I would highly recommend this to anyone that doesn't have a huge amount of snow to move. After all, it is a light duty blower, but does a much bigger job than I ever expected it to do.

Useful little machine
The negative reviews here are predictably from people who can't figure out how to use it right. Assembly: The instruction manual is fine and easy to follow. The only thing I wish they would do is somehow label the various screws so you know at a glance which ones to use, especially since they identify them by metric sizes, and we all know most Americans couldn't use the metric system if their lives depended on it. Bag them separately and give them labels like A, B, C, etc. Note the auxiliary handle has a clamp that uses a hex bolt. You must put the hex head of the bolt in the side of the clamp with the hexagonal recess. If the hex recess is on the wrong side for you, take the clamp off and turn it around. Battery: People complaining about the battery cover popping open and the machine stopping aren't installing the battery properly. You MUST push it in hard until the green thumb latch snaps back into place. The latch locks the battery into position. I have never, not even once, had the battery pop out. Same people probably just let doors swing closed behind them then complain the door doesn't lock. As for why the battery is in the handle, you'd never be able to lift it if it was down near the motor. It would be like trying to lift a 20-pound sledgehammer just with two hands at the end away from the hammer head. Some people complain that this won't stand on its own with the heavy battery in the handle. It actually can. Tilt it all the way upright and it will stand fine on its nose, although I wouldn't trust it if there's any kind of strong wind. Wheels: Some complain it's hard to push the wheels through snow. You're not supposed to push them through snow. They're behind the snow thrower, so they're supposed to rest on bare ground that you've cleared. Thumb button: You don't need to hold this in. It's only a safety precaution to start the machine. Press the button and squeeze the hand trigger to start. Once started, release the button and the motor keeps running as long as you keep the trigger squeezed. I actually release the button even before the motor starts, since there's a slight delay of a second or two between the time you squeeze the trigger and the time the motor starts. In terms of actual performance, it works fine for me. I get 40-60 minutes of start/stop use out of a fully charged battery, enough to clear about 2500 square feet of sidewalk and parking lot. I have a second battery, which I think is a good idea for anyone who buys this, although if I manage to drain both batteries, it will take about three hours to recharge the first one for use. I've done deeper snow with it by lifting it to shave off the top of the snow first. I won't lie; it's still not easy, but a darn sight easier than trying to shovel that much snow. And pay attention to what direction the wind is coming from so snow doesn't blow back onto you or the area you're trying to clear. This is a snow thrower, just tossing snow up and forward into the air, not a snowblower with a chute that neatly deposits the snow to the side. The directional vanes don't really help that much, but I didn't expect they would.

The 12-amp corded version is a powerhouse
Took a chance and rolled the dice on a $39.00 open-box item from NobodyLower here on Amazon, and I couldn't be more pleased. The box was fine with the original tape, parts and instructions intact; it looked as though someone accidentally started to open one flap, then changed their mind. Arrived within 3 days, and I'm not a Prime member. Today was the first day of mixed precip here in Minnesota since the unit arrived, and I'd guess there was maybe an inch & a half of actual snow on the ground when I got home from work. Big deal, right? Yeah, I know, but I got to try my new toy. I plugged it into a 100ft 12/3 blue and red "Arctic!" weather extension cord from US Wire (also purchased "open box" here on Amazon for $20 off.) I live in a townhome community with smaller 2-car driveways and small sidewalks leading to the front steps. There is little to shovel, but there is enough for me to resent having to use one. This thing sounds like a vacuum, and it plowed through the snow using one hand. I'm 56, and 6'2", and it wasn't too short for me. The little directional vanes that guide the snow exhaust are more of a suggestion vs being truly effective, so I have to be careful where I point this thing. I am bad at estimating distances, but I'd guess 20 feet? If I were to accidentally point it at my neighbor Dave's driveway it would've gone well over his and covered the next one over. Again, accidentally. (... Sorry Dave, and Person I Don’t Know Who Lives Next to Dave.) Since it sounds like a vacuum I treated the cord like a vacuum's and shoveled one-handed like a real pro does it. One heckuva step up from shoveling, that's for darn sure. The whole driveway and sidewalk took 13 minutes. Wish I'd gotten one years ago.

Just be careful you don’t slam it against the pavement, it’s not a shovel as we are use to using.

Very happy with this purchase! Awesome machine!
I waited until i could use the snow blower and today with the blizzard that hit NY i have to say this item surpassed my expectation. Not only was the assembly a breeze (it took lil ole me 10mins to put it together) when i finally tested this baby on the snow boy was it just amazing. I was able to clear out my parking space and around my vehicle in about 20 mins. It was super fast. I highly recommend this product! Best part it also comes with the battery and charger unlike others that you have to buy those seperately.

IGNOR THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!
I purchased this life saver just before the first snowfall in Rochester NY...I gave it time before I would write a review and today was the day that this thing proved itself. We have a strong arctic front going right now up here and I used this to clear out my two car driveway and this thing worked like a champ!...the snow is medium weight and yes it punched through that icey slush salt crap mound that the plow so kindly left at the end of my driveway...it took a little work but even a caveman can figure out the proper technique to use when dealing with a heavy amount of snow...now I would recommend a full size snowblower for bigger areas with heavy snow however, for simple normal size driveways and walk ways this thing will definitely do the trick...hopefully this helped...p.s. Be patient when assembling and read the directions unlike I did at first lol
