This sturdy Blade Holder design will wear-well and last a lifetime of blade changes. The blade distinguishably snaps into place with a satisfying pop every time
  • VERSATILITY: This is a well balanced Medium Duty Handle that can be teamed with different blade options to give a durable cost effective craft knife that will give years of service. • METRIC RULER: The useful addition of a short 5.5cm engraved metric scale along the length of the handle on one side of this new version, is a much welcomed "added value" feature appreciated by Users. It allows for quick and convenient measurement checks, marking out references and is useful as a photographic scale
  • FINE PRECISION: For intricate jobs, the flat shape design facilitates more control for fine precision cutting. The handle is engraved with a pattern of circular grip ridges on both sides giving an area to grasp securely, allowing greater control over the blade to prevent slippage even with cold or wet hands such as in sculpting. Gives a nice comfortable finger grip which allows for making good clean cuts in materials such as balsa, thin ply, plastics and fibreglass

I really like these handles, and have ordered them before. My only issue is with the packaging - each handle is individually wrapped in a "too large" padded envelope, and a little difficult to open. I have to get scissors and cut them out. I'd give a fifth star to have my order all packaged in ONE envelope.

I use these as precision scale modeling tools. Holds blades firmly, but they are also easy to remove and replace, unlike the cheaper versions in which the blade is not securely held, but is a bear to get in or out without performing inadvertent finger surgery. Excellent balance and weight for precise control.

I work as a surgical tech and load scalpels every day. This is a nice sturdy handle with good grip. My #15 and #10 blades loaded no problem and stayed on tight. I have no idea how they would hold up to reprocessing, but for home use this is a great value.

Very high quality, sturdy, precision, good solid fit with blades. Good solid weight, the measurement markings are convenient for crafting. Off brands may be hit and miss when it comes to quality, thanks to reviews am glad I chose this brand name instrument.

I used the donated 4130 medicit sterilized blades along with this scalpel handler and it works perfectly for me!

Stick with the Swann Morton brand and you won't go wrong. I purchased handles from another off-brand and you can tell the quality difference, especially when installing and removing the blades.

It's from England. Well made as to be expected. Very solid one piece construction means this scalpel will last decades. Boxes of 100 blades can be as little as $7 to as much as $20. I find the lower grade blades ($7-$10) are OK for the one and done use. But if you are looking to use this type of handle spent a little more on the blades. Not really sure why but just steeping over the $10 for 100 count box makes all the difference in how well and long the blades last and how they fit into the handle.

Use this for dermaplaning on my clients at my skin studio. Perfect for the specialized blades and it is quality surgical brand and material.

Love it. Much, much better than an X-acto knife handle because it provides a better grip and better control. And it doesn't roll off the table and imbed itself in your foot.

very sturdy heavy stainless handle, easy to load and unload IF you do it properly. Utube has instructions. Blades are held firmly. and don't move around at all. I'm very pleased. I have large hands and the smooth finish plus the rather petite size made it a bit difficult to grasp firmly-not the handles fault- so I streched a piece of silicone tubing over the handle ( not the blade attachment part ) and that makes it perfect and very secure while using scapel blades.
